Isaiah 27
1 In that day Jehovah, with his sore and great and strong sword, will visit leviathan the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.
An jenem Tage wird der HERR mit seinem harten, großen und starken Schwerte als Rächer kommen über den Drachen, die flüchtige Schlange, und über den Drachen, die geringelte Schlange, und wird das Ungeheuer am Nil töten.
2 In that day [there shall be] a vineyard of pure wine; sing concerning it:
An jenem Tage wird man sagen: »Lieblicher Weinberg, singt ihm zu!
3 I Jehovah keep it, I will water it every moment; lest any harm it, I will keep it night and day.
Ich, der HERR, bin sein Hüter, alle Augenblicke bewässere ich ihn; damit sich niemand an ihm vergreife, hüte ich ihn bei Tag und Nacht.
4 Fury is not in me. Oh that I had briars [and] thorns in battle against me! I would march against them, I would burn them together.
Zorn hege ich keinen; fände ich nur Dornen und Gestrüpp darin: zum Kampfe wollte ich auf sie losgehen und sie verbrennen allzumal!
5 Or let him take hold of my strength; let him make peace with me: [yea, ] let him make peace with me.
Es müßte sonst sein, daß man Schutz bei mir suchte und Frieden mit mir machte, ja Frieden machte mit mir!«
6 In the future Jacob shall take root; Israel shall blossom and bud, and they shall fill the face of the world with fruit.
In den kommenden Tagen wird Jakob Wurzel schlagen, wird Israel blühen und sprossen, und sie werden den ganzen Erdkreis mit Frucht erfüllen.
7 Hath he smitten him according to the smiting of those that smote him? Is he slain according to the slaughter of those slain by him?
Hat der HERR es etwa so geschlagen, wie er den schlug, der ihm Schläge versetzt hatte? Oder sind sie so hingemordet worden, wie er ihre Mörder umgebracht hat?
8 In measure, when sending her away, didst thou contend with her: he hath taken [her] away with his rough wind in the day of the east wind.
Nein, nur durch ihre Verstoßung, durch ihre Wegführung hast du deine Sache mit ihnen geführt: durch seinen schweren Sturm hat er sie hinweggetrieben am Tage des Ostwindes.
9 By this, therefore, shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit of the taking away of his sin: when he shall make all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are crumbled in pieces, — the Asherahs and the sun-images shall not stand.
Deshalb wird dadurch die Verschuldung Jakobs gesühnt, und darin soll die volle Frucht der Hinwegnahme seiner Versündigung bestehen, daß er alle Altarsteine zertrümmerten Kalksteinen gleich macht und keine Astartebilder und Sonnensäulen wieder aufgestellt werden.
10 For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation abandoned and forsaken like a wilderness; there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume its boughs.
Denn die feste Stadt liegt öde da, eine verlassene Wohnstätte und einsam wie die Wüste; daselbst weidet das Rind und lagert sich dort und frißt ihre Büsche ab.
11 When its branches are withered they shall be broken off; women shall come [and] set them on fire. For it is a people of no intelligence; therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he who formed them will shew them no favour.
Wenn deren Zweige dürr geworden sind, bricht man sie ab: Weiber kommen dann und heizen mit ihnen; denn es ist ein Volk ohne Einsicht. Darum erbarmt sich sein Schöpfer seiner nicht, und sein Bildner erweist sich ihm nicht gnädig.
12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah shall beat out from the flood of the river unto the torrent of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, [ye] children of Israel.
Aber geschehen wird es an jenem Tage: da wird der HERR ein Getreidedreschen veranstalten von der Ähre des Euphratstromes bis zum Bach Ägyptens; und ihr werdet (wie bei der Nachlese) einzeln zusammengelesen werden, ihr Kinder Israel.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the great trumpet shall be blown; and they shall come that were perishing in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and they shall worship Jehovah in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
Und geschehen wird es an jenem Tage: da wird in eine große Posaune gestoßen; dann werden alle, die sich im Lande Assyrien (von der Herde) verloren haben, und die im Lande Ägypten Versprengten heimkehren und den HERRN anbeten auf dem heiligen Berge in Jerusalem.
