< Isaiah 21 >
1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through, so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó kan aginjù lẹ́bàá Òkun. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìjì líle ti í jà kọjá ní gúúsù, akógunjàlú kan wá láti aginjù, láti ilẹ̀ ìpayà.
2 A grievous vision is declared unto me: the treacherous dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, Elam! besiege, Media! All the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
Ìran tí a ń fojú ṣọ́nà fún ni a ti fihàn mí ọlọ̀tẹ̀ ti tu àṣírí, fọ́lé fọ́lé ti kẹ́rù. Elamu kojú ìjà! Media ti tẹ̀gùn! Èmi yóò mú gbogbo ìpayínkeke dópin, ni ó búra.
3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain; anguish hath taken hold upon me, as the anguish of a woman in travail: I am bowed down so as not to hear, I am dismayed so as not to see.
Pẹ̀lú èyí, ìrora mu mi lára gírígírí, ìrora gbá mi mú, gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti obìnrin tí ń rọbí, mo ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n nítorí ohun tí mo gbọ́, ọkàn mi pòruurù nípa ohun tí mo rí.
4 My heart panteth, horror affrighteth me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into trembling unto me.
Ọkàn mí dàrú, ẹ̀rù mú jìnnìjìnnì bá mi, ìmọ́lẹ̀ tí mo ti ń fẹ́ ẹ́ rí ti wá di ìpayà fún mi.
5 Prepare the table, appoint the watch; eat, drink: arise, ye princes, anoint the shield.
Wọ́n tẹ́ tábìlì, wọ́n tẹ́ ẹní àtẹ́ẹ̀ká, wọ́n jẹ, wọ́n mu! Dìde nílẹ̀, ẹ̀yin ọmọ-aládé, ẹ fi òróró kún asà yín!
6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa sọ fún mi: “Lọ, kí o bojúwòde kí o sì wá sọ ohun tí ó rí.
7 And he saw chariots, horsemen by pairs, a chariot with asses, a chariot with camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed.
Nígbà tí ó bá rí àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun àti àkójọpọ̀ àwọn ẹṣin, àwọn tó ń gun kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ tàbí àwọn tí ó gun ìbákasẹ, jẹ́ kí ó múra sílẹ̀, àní ìmúra gidigidi.”
8 And he cried [as] a lion, Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights.
Òun sì kígbe pé, kìnnìún kan, “Láti ọjọ́ dé ọjọ́, olúwa mi, mo dúró lórí ilé ìṣọ́ ní ọ̀sán, a sì fi mí ìṣọ́ mi ní gbogbo òru.
9 — And behold, there cometh a chariot of men; horsemen by pairs. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Wò ó, ọkùnrin kan ni ó ń bọ̀ wá yìí nínú kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun àti àkójọpọ̀ àwọn ẹṣin. Ó sì mú ìdáhùn padà wá: ‘Babeli ti ṣubú, ó ti ṣubú! Gbogbo àwọn ère òrìṣà rẹ̀ ló fọ́nká sórí ilẹ̀!’”
10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor! What I have heard of Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi, tí a gún mọ́lẹ̀ ní ilẹ̀ ìpakà, mo sọ ohun tí mo ti gbọ́ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run Israẹli.
11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó kan Dumahi. Ẹnìkan ké sí mi láti Seiri wá, “Alóre, kí ló kù nínú òru náà?”
12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire; return, come.
Alóre náà dáhùn wí pé, “Òwúrọ̀ súnmọ́ tòsí, àti òru náà pẹ̀lú. Bí ìwọ yóò bá béèrè, béèrè; kí o sì tún padà wá.”
13 The burden against Arabia. In the forest of Arabia shall ye lodge, [ye] caravans of Dedanites.
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó kan Arabia. Ẹ̀yin ẹgbẹ́ èrò ti Dedani, tí ó pàgọ́ sínú igbó Arabia,
14 Bring ye water to meet the thirsty! The inhabitants of the land of Tema come forth with their bread for him that fleeth.
gbé omi wá fún àwọn tí òǹgbẹ ń gbẹ; ẹ̀yin tí ó ń gbé Tema, gbé oúnjẹ wá fún àwọn ìsáǹsá.
15 For they flee from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
Wọ́n sá kúrò lọ́wọ́ idà, kúrò lọ́wọ́ idà tí a fàyọ, kúrò lọ́wọ́ ọrun tí a fàyọ àti kúrò nínú ìgbóná ogun.
16 For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Within a year, according to the years of a hired servant, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa sọ fún mi: “Láàrín ọdún kan, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ̀fà tí ó wà lábẹ́ ọgbà, í ti í kà á, gbogbo ògo ìlú Kedari yóò wá sí òpin.
17 and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the sons of Kedar, shall be diminished: for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken.
Àwọn tafàtafà tí ó sálà, àwọn jagunjagun ìlú Kedari kò ní tó nǹkan.” Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli ni ó ti sọ̀rọ̀.
