Isaiah 21
1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through, so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
Pezo do deserto da banda do mar. Como os tufões de vento passam por meio da terra do sul, assim do deserto virá, da terra horrivel.
2 A grievous vision is declared unto me: the treacherous dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, Elam! besiege, Media! All the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
Visão dura se notificou: o perfido trata perfidamente, e o destruidor anda destruindo: sobe, ó Elam, sitía, ó médo, que já fiz cessar todo o seu gemido.
3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain; anguish hath taken hold upon me, as the anguish of a woman in travail: I am bowed down so as not to hear, I am dismayed so as not to see.
Pelo que os meus lombos estão cheios de grande enfermidade, angustias se apoderaram de mim como as angustias da que pare: já me encurvo de ouvir, e estou espantado de ver.
4 My heart panteth, horror affrighteth me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into trembling unto me.
O meu coração anda errado, espavorece-me o horror: e o crepusculo, que desejava, me tornou em tremores.
5 Prepare the table, appoint the watch; eat, drink: arise, ye princes, anoint the shield.
Põe a mesa, vigia na atalaia, come, bebe: levantae-vos, principes, e untae o escudo.
6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
Porque assim me disse o Senhor: Vae, põe uma sentinella, e que diga o que vir.
7 And he saw chariots, horsemen by pairs, a chariot with asses, a chariot with camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed.
E viu um carro com um par de cavalleiros, um carro de jumentos, e um carro de camelos, e attentou attentamente com grande attenção.
8 And he cried [as] a lion, Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights.
E clamou: Um leão vejo, Senhor, sobre a atalaia de vigia estou em pé continuamente de dia, e sobre a minha guarda me ponho noites inteiras.
9 — And behold, there cometh a chariot of men; horsemen by pairs. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
E eis agora vem um carro de homens, e cavalleiros aos pares. Então respondeu e disse: Caída é Babylonia, caída é! e todas as imagens de esculptura dos seus deuses quebrantou contra a terra.
10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor! What I have heard of Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
Ah malhada minha, e trigo da minha eira! o que ouvi do Senhor dos Exercitos, Deus de Israel, isso vos notifiquei.
11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
Pezo de Duma. Dão-me gritos de Seir: Guarda, que houve de noite? guarda, que houve de noite?
12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire; return, come.
E disse o guarda: Vem a manhã, e tambem a noite; se quereis perguntar, perguntae; tornae-vos, e vinde.
13 The burden against Arabia. In the forest of Arabia shall ye lodge, [ye] caravans of Dedanites.
Pezo contra Arabia. Nos bosques de Arabia passareis a noite, ó viandantes de Dedanim.
14 Bring ye water to meet the thirsty! The inhabitants of the land of Tema come forth with their bread for him that fleeth.
Sahi ao encontro dos sequiosos com agua: os moradores da terra de Tema com o seu pão encontraram os que fugiam.
15 For they flee from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
Porque fogem de diante das espadas, de diante da espada nua, e de diante do arco armado, e de diante do pezo da guerra.
16 For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Within a year, according to the years of a hired servant, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
Porque assim me disse o Senhor: Ainda dentro d'um anno, como os annos de jornaleiro, será arruinada toda a gloria de Kedar.
17 and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the sons of Kedar, shall be diminished: for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken.
E os residuos do numero dos frecheiros, os valentes dos filhos de Kedar, serão diminuidos, porque assim o disse o Senhor, Deus de Israel.
