< Isaiah 21 >

1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through, so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
Faminaniana ny amin’ ny loza hanjo ny Efitra Ranobe. Tahaka ny firimorimon’ ny tadio any atsimo no fihaviny avy any an-efitra, dia avy any amin’ ny tany mahatahotra.
2 A grievous vision is declared unto me: the treacherous dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, Elam! besiege, Media! All the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
Misy fahitana mampahory naseho tamiko: Ny mpamitaka mamitaka, ary ny mpandringana mandringana. Iakaro, ry Elama ô! ekeo, ry Media ô! Hatsahatro ny fisentoana rehetra.
3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain; anguish hath taken hold upon me, as the anguish of a woman in travail: I am bowed down so as not to hear, I am dismayed so as not to see.
Ary raha nahita izany aho, dia feno fanaintainana ny valahako; Fijalijaliana no nahazo ahy tahaka ny fijalijalian’ ny vehivavy raha miteraka; Niolanolana fatratra aho ka tsy nandre izany; Toran-kovitra aho ka tsy nahita izany.
4 My heart panteth, horror affrighteth me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into trembling unto me.
Niemponempona ny foko, nampahatahotra ahy ny horohoro; Ny hariva fahafinaretako nampodiny ho fangovitako.
5 Prepare the table, appoint the watch; eat, drink: arise, ye princes, anoint the shield.
Velarina ny latabatra, miambina ny mpiambina, mihinana sy misotro ny olona mitsangàna, ianareo lehibe, ka hosory ny ampinga!
6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
Fa izao no nolazain’ i Jehovah tamiko: Mandehana, manendre tily; Ka izay hitany no aoka holazainy.
7 And he saw chariots, horsemen by pairs, a chariot with asses, a chariot with camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed.
Dia nahita izy ka indreo mpitaingina manao andiany mandeha tsiroaroa sy boriky andiany ary rameva andiany. Ary nihaino izy, eny, nihaino dia nihaino;
8 And he cried [as] a lion, Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights.
Dia niantso nanao feon-diona izy ka nanao hoe: Tompo ô! izaho mijanona mandrakariva eto ambonin’ ny fitazanako nony antoandro, Ary mitoetra eto amin’ ny fiambenako aho mandritra ny alina;
9 — And behold, there cometh a chariot of men; horsemen by pairs. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Koa, indreo, avy ny olona andiany, mpitaingina mandeha tsiroaroa; Ary nanandratra ny feony izy ka nanao hoe: Rava, rava Babylona! Ary ny sarin’ ny andriamaniny rehetra dia voatorotoro miraraka amin’ ny tany.
10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor! What I have heard of Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
Ry ahy voavely toy ny vary teo am-pamoloako ô! Izay efa reko tamin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, no nambarako taminareo.
11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
Faminaniana ny amin’ ny loza hanjo an’ i Edoma. Misy miantso ahy any Seïra manao hoe: Ry mpiambina ô, toy inona alina moa izao? Ry mpiambina ô, toy inona alina moa izao?
12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire; return, come.
Dia hoy ny mpiambina: Avy ny maraina, avy koa ny alina; Raha mbola ta-hanontany ianareo, dia manontania ihany; ka avia, miverena.
13 The burden against Arabia. In the forest of Arabia shall ye lodge, [ye] caravans of Dedanites.
Faminaniana ny amin’ ny loza hanjo an’ i Arabia. Any an’ ala any Arabia no andrianareo, ry andian’ ny Dedanita.
14 Bring ye water to meet the thirsty! The inhabitants of the land of Tema come forth with their bread for him that fleeth.
Itondrana rano ny mangetaheta; Ny mponina amin’ ny tany Tema mitsena hanina ny mandositra;
15 For they flee from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
Fa mandositra ny sabatra ireo, dia ny sabatra voatsoaka sy ny tsipìka voahenjana ary ny havesatry ny ady.
16 For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Within a year, according to the years of a hired servant, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
Fa izao no nolazain’ i Jehovah tamiko: Ato anatin’ ny herintaona, tahaka ny taonan’ ny mpikarama, dia ho levona avokoa ny voninahitr’ i Kedara;
17 and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the sons of Kedar, shall be diminished: for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken.
Ary ny tsipìka sisa izay; an’ ny lehilahy mahery, taranak’ i Kedara, dia ho vitsy foana, fa Jehovah Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, ao efa niteny.
