Isaiah 2
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
௧ஆமோத்சின் மகனாகிய ஏசாயா யூதாவையும் எருசலேமையும்குறித்துக் கண்ட காட்சி.
2 And it shall come to pass in the end of days, [that] the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it.
௨வரும்நாட்களில் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயமாகிய மலை, மலைகளின் உச்சியில் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, மலைகளுக்கு மேலாக உயர்த்தப்படும்; எல்லா தேசத்தார்களும் அதற்கு ஓடிவருவார்கள்.
3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and Jehovah's word from Jerusalem.
௩திரளான மக்கள் புறப்பட்டுவந்து: நாம் யெகோவாவின் மலைக்கும், யாக்கோபின் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கும் போவோம் வாருங்கள்; அவர் தமது வழிகளை நமக்குப் போதிப்பார்; நாம் அவருடைய பாதைகளில் நடப்போம் என்பார்கள்; ஏனெனில் சீயோனிலிருந்து வேதமும், எருசலேமிலிருந்து யெகோவாவின் வசனமும் வெளிப்படும்.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall reprove many peoples; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
௪அவர் தேசங்களிடையே நியாயந்தீர்த்து, திரளான மக்களின் வாக்குவாதங்களைத் தீர்த்துவைப்பார்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள் பட்டயங்களை மண்வெட்டிகளாகவும், தங்கள் ஈட்டிகளை அரிவாள்களாகவும் மாற்றுவார்கள்; நாட்டிற்கு விரோதமாக நாடு பட்டயம் எடுப்பதில்லை, இனி அவர்கள் போர்ப்பயிற்சி எடுப்பதுமில்லை.
5 House of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.
௫யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தாரே, யெகோவாவின் வெளிச்சத்திலே நடப்போம் வாருங்கள்.
6 For thou hast cast off thy people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled [with what comes] from the east, and use auguries like the Philistines, and ally themselves with the children of foreigners.
௬யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தாராகிய உம்முடைய மக்களைக் கைவிட்டீர்; அவர்கள் கிழக்குத் நாடுகளின் போதகத்தால் நிறைந்து, பெலிஸ்தர்களைப்போல் நாள்பார்க்கிறவர்களாயிருந்து, அந்நிய மக்கள்மேல் பிரியப்படுகிறார்களே.
7 And their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no end of their treasures: their land also is full of horses, and there is no end of their chariots.
௭அவர்களுடைய தேசம் வெள்ளியினாலும் பொன்னினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; அவர்களுடைய பொக்கிஷங்களுக்கு முடிவில்லை; அவர்களுடைய தேசம் குதிரைகளாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; அவர்களுடைய இரதங்களுக்கும் முடிவில்லை.
8 And their land is full of idols; they bow themselves down to the work of their own hands, to that which their fingers have made.
௮அவர்களுடைய தேசம் விக்கிரகங்களாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; தங்கள் கைகளாலும், தங்கள் விரல்களாலும் உருவாக்கிய சிலைகளைப் பணிந்துகொள்கிறார்கள்.
9 And the mean man shall be bowed down, and the great man shall be brought low: and do not thou forgive them!
௯சிறியவனும், பெரியவனும் அவமானப்படுத்தப்படுகிறார்கள்; ஆகையால் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னியாதிருப்பீராக.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty.
௧0யெகோவாவின் பயங்கரத்திற்கும், அவருடைய மகிமையின் புகழ்ச்சிக்கும் விலகி, நீ கன்மலையில் ஒதுங்கி, மண்ணில் ஒளித்துக்கொள்.
11 The lofty eyes of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.
௧௧மனிதர்களின் மேட்டிமையான கண்கள் தாழ்த்தப்படும், மனிதர்களின் வீணான பிடிவாதமும் தணியும்; யெகோவா ஒருவரே நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் உயர்ந்திருப்பார்.
12 For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon everything proud and lofty, and upon everything lifted up, and it shall be brought low;
௧௨அனைத்தும் தாழ்த்தப்படுவதற்காக சேனைகளுடைய யெகோவாவின் நாளானது பெருமையும் மேட்டிமையுமானவை எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும், உயர்ந்தவை எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும்,
13 and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan;
௧௩லீபனோனிலுள்ள உயரமும் உயர்ந்ததுமான எல்லாக் கேதுருக்களின்மேலும், பாசானிலுள்ள எல்லாக் கர்வாலி மரங்களின்மேலும்,
14 and upon all the lofty mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up;
௧௪உன்னதமான எல்லா மலைகளின்மேலும், உயரமான எல்லா மலைகளின்மேலும்,
15 and upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall;
௧௫உயர்ந்த எல்லாக் கோபுரத்தின்மேலும், பாதுகாப்பான எல்லா மதிலின்மேலும்,
16 and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant works of art.
௧௬தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்கள் எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும், அனைத்துச் சித்திர விநோதங்களின்மேலும் வரும்.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day:
௧௭அப்பொழுது மனிதர்களின் மேட்டிமை தாழ்ந்து, மனிதர்களின் வீறாப்புத் தணியும்; யெகோவா ஒருவரே அந்நாளில் உயர்ந்திருப்பார்.
18 and the idols shall utterly pass away.
௧௮சிலைகள் முற்றிலுமாக ஒழிந்துபோம்.
19 And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.
௧௯பூமியைத் தத்தளிக்கச்செய்யக் யெகோவா எழும்பும்போது, அவருடைய பயங்கரத்திற்கும், அவருடைய மகிமைப் புகழ்ச்சிக்கும் விலகி, கன்மலைகளின் கெபிகளிலும், பூமியின் குகைகளிலும் புகுந்துகொள்வார்கள்.
20 In that day men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made [each] for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
௨0பூமியைத் தத்தளிக்கச்செய்யக் யெகோவா எழும்பும் அந்நாளிலே, அவருடைய பயங்கரத்திற்கும், அவருடைய மகிமைப் புகழ்ச்சிக்கும் விலகி, கன்மலைகளின் வெடிப்புகளிலும் குன்றுகளின் சந்துகளிலும் புகுந்துகொள்ளும்படிக்கு,
21 to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the cliffs, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.
௨௧மனிதன் பணிந்துகொள்ளத் தனக்கு உண்டாக்கியிருந்த தன் வெள்ளி சிலைகளையும், தன் பொன் சிலைகளையும், மூஞ்சூறு எலிகளுக்கும் வெளவால்களுக்கும் எறிந்துவிடுவான்.
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for what account is to be made of him?
௨௨நாசியிலே சுவாசமுள்ள மனிதனை நம்புவதை விட்டுவிடுங்கள்; மதிக்கப்படுவதற்கு அவன் எம்மாத்திரம்.
