Isaiah 2
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
La palabra que Isaías, hijo de Amoz, vio acerca de Judá y Jerusalén.
2 And it shall come to pass in the end of days, [that] the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it.
Y acontecerá en los últimos días, que la montaña del Señor se colocará en la cima de las montañas, y se levantará sobre las colinas; y todas las naciones vendrán a él.
3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and Jehovah's word from Jerusalem.
Y los pueblos dirán: Vengan, subamos al monte del Señor, a la casa del Dios de Jacob, y él nos dará a conocer sus caminos, y seremos guiados por su palabra; porque de Sión saldrá la enseñanza, y la palabra del Señor de Jerusalén.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall reprove many peoples; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Y él será el juez entre las naciones, y hará decisiones por muchos pueblos; y sus espadas se convertirán en hojas de arado, y sus lanzas en cuchillos de vid: ya no se volverán las naciones sus espadas una contra la otra, y el conocimiento de la guerra se habrá ido para siempre.
5 House of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.
Oh familia de Jacob, ven y vamos a la luz del Señor.
6 For thou hast cast off thy people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled [with what comes] from the east, and use auguries like the Philistines, and ally themselves with the children of foreigners.
Porque tú, Señor, has abandonado a tu pueblo, la familia de Jacob, porque están llenos de los caminos malvados del este, y hacen uso de artes secretas como los filisteos, y son amigos de los hijos de países extranjeros.
7 And their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no end of their treasures: their land also is full of horses, and there is no end of their chariots.
Y su tierra está llena de plata y oro, y sus almacenes no tienen fin; su tierra está llena de caballos, y sus carros no tienen fin.
8 And their land is full of idols; they bow themselves down to the work of their own hands, to that which their fingers have made.
Su tierra está llena de imágenes. Dan culto a la obra de sus manos, incluso a lo que sus dedos han hecho.
9 And the mean man shall be bowed down, and the great man shall be brought low: and do not thou forgive them!
Y la cabeza del hombre pobre está inclinada, y el gran hombre cae sobre su rostro; por esta causa no habrá perdón por su pecado.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty.
Entra en una cueva en la roca, cubriéndose de polvo, con temor del Señor, ante la gloria de su poder.
11 The lofty eyes of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.
Las miradas del hombre serán avergonzadas, y el orgullo de los hombres será humillado, y solo el Señor será levantado en ese día.
12 For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon everything proud and lofty, and upon everything lifted up, and it shall be brought low;
Porque vendrá el día del Señor de los ejércitos sobre todo hombre soberbio y altivo y sobre todos los que se han ensalzado serán humillados;
13 and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan;
Y en todos los árboles altos del Líbano, y en todos los árboles fuertes de Basán;
14 and upon all the lofty mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up;
Y en todos los montes altos, y en todos los cerros que se alzan;
15 and upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall;
Y en toda torre alta, y en todo muro fuerte;
16 and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant works of art.
Y en todos los barcos de Tarsis, y en todas las pinturas preciadas.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day:
Y las miradas de los hombres serán avergonzadas, y el orgullo de los hombres será humillado; y solo el Señor será levantado en ese día.
18 and the idols shall utterly pass away.
Y las imágenes nunca más serán vistas.
19 And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.
Y los hombres irán a las grietas de las rocas y a los agujeros de la tierra, por temor al Señor, y ante la gloria de su poder, cuando salga de su lugar, sacudiendo la tierra con su fuerza.
20 In that day men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made [each] for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
En ese día los hombres pondrán sus imágenes de plata y oro, que hicieron para la adoración, en la custodia de las bestias de los lugares oscuros;
21 to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the cliffs, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.
Para cubrirse en las grietas de las rocas y en los hoyos de las colinas, por temor al Señor, y ante la gloria de su poder, cuando él sale de su lugar, sacudiendo la tierra con su fuerza.
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for what account is to be made of him?
No tenga más que ver con el hombre, cuya vida es solo un aliento, porque no tiene valor.
