Isaiah 16
1 Send the lamb of the ruler of the land from the rock to the wilderness, — unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
Αποστείλατε το αρνίον προς τον άρχοντα της γης, από Σελά εν τη ερήμω προς το όρος της θυγατρός της Σιών.
2 And it shall be [that] as a wandering bird, [as] a scattered nest, so shall the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.
Διότι ως πτηνόν πλανώμενον, από της φωλεάς αυτού δεδιωγμένον, ούτως αι θυγατέρες του Μωάβ θέλουσιν είσθαι κατά τας διαβάσεις του Αρνών.
3 Bring in counsel, execute justice; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of noonday; hide the outcasts, discover not the fugitive.
Βουλεύου, εκτέλεσον το δίκαιον· εν τω μέσω της ημέρας κάμε την σκιάν σου ως νύκτα· κρύψον τους διωκομένους· μη φανερώσης τον περιπλανώμενον.
4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the waster. For the extortioner is at an end, the wasting hath ceased, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Οι δεδιωγμένοι μου ας παροικήσωσι παρά σοι, Μωάβ· γενού εις αυτούς σκέπη από προσώπου του πορθητού· διότι ο αρπακτήρ ετελείωσεν, ο πορθητής έπαυσεν, οι καταδυνάσται εξωλοθρεύθησαν από της γης.
5 And a throne shall be established in mercy: and in the tent of David there shall sit upon it, in truth, one judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness.
Και μετά ελέους θέλει συσταθή ο θρόνος, και επ' αυτόν θέλει καθήσει εν αληθεία, εν τη σκηνή του Δαβίδ, ο κρίνων και εκζητών κρίσιν και σπεύδων δικαιοσύνην.
6 We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, — [he is] very proud, — of his pride, and his arrogance, and his wrath: his pratings are vain.
Ηκούσαμεν την υπερηφανίαν του Μωάβ, είναι λίαν υπερήφανος· την υψηλοφροσύνην αυτού και την αλαζονείαν αυτού και την μανίαν αυτού· τα ψεύδη αυτού θέλουσι ματαιωθή.
7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab; every one of them shall howl. For the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn, verily afflicted.
Διά τούτο ο Μωάβ θέλει ολολύξει· πάντες θέλουσιν ολολύξει διά τον Μωάβ· θέλετε θρηνολογήσει διά τα θεμέλια της Κιρ-αρεσέθ· εκτυπήθησαν βεβαίως.
8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, the vine of Sibmah; the lords of the nations have broken down its choice plants: they reached unto Jaazer, they wandered [through] the wilderness; its shoots stretched out, they went beyond the sea.
Διότι αι πεδιάδες της Εσεβών είναι ητονημέναι και η άμπελος της Σιβμά· οι κύριοι των εθνών κατεσύντριψαν τα καλήτερα αυτής φυτά, τα οποία ήρχοντο έως της Ιαζήρ, και περιεπλανώντο διά της ερήμου· οι κλάδοι αυτής ήσαν εξηπλωμένοι, διέβαινον την θάλασσαν.
9 Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jaazer for the vine of Sibmah; with my tears will I water thee, Heshbon, and Elealeh, for a cry is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy harvest.
Διά τούτο μετά κλαυθμού της Ιαζήρ θέλω κλαύσει την άμπελον της Σιβμά θέλω σε βρέξει με τα δάκρυά μου, Εσεβών και Ελεαλή· διότι επί τους θερινούς καρπούς σου και επί τον θερισμόν σου επέπεσεν αλαλαγμός.
10 And joy and gladness is taken away out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there is no singing, neither is there shouting: the treaders tread out no wine in the presses, I have made the cry [of the winepress] to cease.
Και αφηρέθη η ευφροσύνη και η αγαλλίασις από της καρποφόρου πεδιάδος· και εις τους αμπελώνάς σου δεν θέλουσιν είσθαι πλέον άσματα ουδέ φωναί αγαλλιάσεως· οι ληνοπάται δεν θέλουσι πατεί οίνον εν τοις ληνοίς· εγώ κατέπαυσα τον αλαλαγμόν του τρυγητού.
11 Therefore my bowels sound like a harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirheres.
Όθεν τα εντόσθιά μου θέλουσιν ηχήσει ως κιθάρα διά τον Μωάβ, και τα εσωτερικά μου διά την Κιρ-άρες.
12 And it shall come to pass, when Moab shall appear, shall weary himself on the high place, and enter into his sanctuary to pray, that he shall not prevail.
Και ο Μωάβ, όταν φανή ότι απέκαμεν επί τους βωμούς αυτού, θέλει εισέλθει εις το αγιαστήριον αυτού διά να προσευχηθή· πλην δεν θέλει επιτύχει.
13 This is the word which Jehovah hath spoken from of old concerning Moab.
Ούτος είναι ο λόγος, τον οποίον έκτοτε ελάλησε Κύριος περί του Μωάβ.
14 And now Jehovah speaketh saying, Within three years, as the years of a hired servant, and the glory of Moab shall be brought to nothing, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be small, few, of no account.
Τώρα δε ο Κύριος ελάλησε λέγων, Εις τρία έτη, ως είναι τα έτη του μισθωτού, η δόξα του Μωάβ θέλει καταφρονηθή μεθ' όλου του μεγάλου πλήθους αυτού· και το υπόλοιπον θέλει είσθαι πολύ ολίγον και αδύνατον.
