< Isaiah 13 >
1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.

2 Lift up a banner upon a bare mountain, raise the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles.

3 I have commanded my hallowed ones, I have also called my mighty men for mine anger, them that rejoice in my highness.
Kai ni ka thoungsak e naw koe lawk ka thui toe. Kai ni ka poe e lentoenae dawkvah, a lung kahawi e, athakaawme taminaw hah ka lungkhuek e a roum nahanelah, ka kaw toe.
4 The noise of a multitude on the mountains, as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations assembled together: Jehovah of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
Monsom e pawlawk teh tamihupui e pawlawk doeh. Miphunnaw uknaeram kamkhuengnae koe ruengruengti e pawlawk, hoi ransahu BAWIPA teh taran tuk hanlah a kâcai.
5 They come from a far country, from the end of the heavens — Jehovah, and the weapons of his indignation — to destroy the whole land.

6 Howl, for the day of Jehovah is at hand; it cometh as destruction from the Almighty.
BAWIPA e hnin teh a hnai toung dawkvah, khuikap awh haw. Athakasaipounge ni a rawk sak nahane hnin teh a tho han.
7 Therefore shall all hands be feeble, and every heart of man shall melt,
Kut kaawm pueng loungkanghawi han. Tami pueng a lung a pout awh han.
8 and they shall be terrified: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them, they shall writhe as a woman that travaileth; they shall be amazed one at another, their faces shall be as flames.
Lungpuen hoi awm awh vaiteh, patawnae aphunphun ni a cusin han. Camokhe patawnae ka khang e napui patetlah patawnae khang awh vaiteh, buet touh hoi buet touh a kâkhet awh toteh, ahnimae minhmai teh hmaipalai patetlah ao han.
9 Behold, the day of Jehovah cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the earth desolate; and he will destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Khenhaw! BAWIPA e hnin teh a tho lahun. A lungkhueknae, a lungkâannae hoi hote ram hah kingdi vaiteh, khocaramca tamikayonnaw hah peng raphoe hanelah a tho lahun.
10 For the stars of the heavens and the constellations thereof shall not give their light; the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Kalvan âsinaw hoi âsihunaw teh ang awh mahoeh. Kanî hai a tâco navah a hmo vaiteh, thapa hai ang mahoeh.
11 And I will punish the world for evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will make the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will bring low the haughtiness of the violent.
Talaivan ni a yonnae hai thoseh, tamikathoutnaw e a payonnae hai thoseh, runae ka poe han. A lung kalennaw e kâoupnae hah ka pout sak vaiteh, kakaisuenaw e dudamnae hah ka pabo han.
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold, even man than the gold of Ophir.
Kai ni taminaw teh sôlêi e sui hlak hai thoseh, Ophir sui hlak hai thoseh ka takang sak han.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens to shake, and the earth shall be removed out of her place, at the wrath of Jehovah of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Hatdawkvah, ransahu BAWIPA e a lungkhueknae hah, a lungphuennae hnin dawkvah, kalvan kahuet vaiteh, talai hai ama onae hmuen koehoi a kâtahruet han.
14 And it shall be as with a chased roe, and as with a flock that no man gathereth together; every one shall turn to his own people, and every one flee into his own land.
Tami pueng teh kahrawng pâlei e sayuk sakhi patetlah a yawng awh vaiteh, kapâkhuengkung kaawm hoeh e tunaw patetlah awm awh vaiteh, amamae miphun koelah kamlang awh vaiteh, amamae ram dawk a yawng awh han.
15 All that are found shall be thrust through; and every one that is in league [with them] shall fall by the sword.
A kâhmo awh e pueng thut lah awm vaiteh, a man awh e pueng teh tahloi hoi thei lah ao han.
16 And their infants shall be dashed in pieces before their eyes, their houses shall be rifled, and their women ravished.
Ahnimae a canaw hai amamae hmaitung vah, doukkâlat lah talai dawk raphet awh vaiteh, ahnimae imnaw teh peng a raphoe pouh han. A yunaw hah a pacekpahlek pouh awh han.
17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who do not regard silver, and as for gold, they have no delight in it.
Khenhaw! Medesnaw hah ka hroecoe pouh han. Ahnimouh teh, sui hah banglahai ngâi awh mahoeh, ngun hai ngai awh mahoeh.
18 And [their] bows shall dash the young men to pieces, and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb: their eye shall not spare children.
Ahnimouh ni thoundounnaw hah licung hoi a thei han. Ahnimouh ni a thun thung e camonaw hai pahrennae tawn awh mahoeh. Ahnimae mit ni camocanaw hah pasai awh mahoeh.
19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Uknaeram pueng hlak ka bawilen e Babilon, Khaldean taminaw ni kâoupnae lah kaawm e Babilon kho teh, Cathut ni a raphoe e Sodom hoi Gomorrah kho patetlah ao han.
20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in, even to generation and generation; nor shall Arabian pitch tent there, nor shepherds make fold there.
Hote kho dawk nâtuek hai tami khosak mahoeh toe. Bangpatet e Arabnaw hai hote hmuen koe rim sak mahoeh toe. Bangpatet e tukhoum ni hai hote hmuen koe a tunaw hah tabawk sak mahoeh.
21 But beasts of the desert shall lie there, and their houses shall be full of owls; and ostriches shall dwell there, and wild goats shall dance there.
Hatei, thingyeiyawn sarangnaw teh hote hmuen koe a tabo awh han. Ahnimae imnaw teh kacaikaringe moithang hoi akawi han. Kalaukvanaw ni ao nah vaiteh, Athanaw a coukdouk awh han.
22 And jackals shall cry to one another in their palaces, and wild dogs in the pleasant castles. And her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
Asuinaw ni kho longkha rapannaw koe thoseh, kahrawnguinaw ni imnaw dawk thoseh, a cairing awh han. Hote kho dawk atueng nâsittouh ao hoehnahlan a tho han. Hote tueng hai saw mahoeh.
