Hosea 6
1 Come and let us return unto Jehovah: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Dans leur tribulation, ils se lèveront dès le matin pour venir vers moi: Venez, et retournons au Seigneur.
2 After two days will he revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before his face;
Parce que c’est lui qui nous a pris et qui nous sauvera; il nous frappera et il nous guérira;
3 and we shall know, — we shall follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is assured as the morning dawn; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain which watereth the earth.
Il nous rendra la vie après deux jours; au troisième jour, il nous ressuscitera, et nous vivrons en sa présence. Nous connaîtrons, et nous chercherons à connaître, le Seigneur; comme le point du jour a été préparée sa sortie, et il viendra pour nous comme la pluie de la première et de l’arrière-saison.
4 What shall I do unto thee, Ephraim? What shall I do unto thee, Judah? For your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that early passeth away.
Que ferai-je pour toi, Ephraïm? Que ferai-je pour toi, Juda? Votre miséricorde est comme la nuée du matin et comme la rosée qui se dissipe.
5 Therefore have I hewed [them] by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and my judgment goeth forth as the light.
À cause de cela, je les ai traités durement par les prophètes, je les ai tués par les paroles de ma bouche; et tes jugements éclateront comme la lumière.
6 For I delight in loving-kindness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.
Parce que c’est la miséricorde que je veux et non le sacrifice, et la science de Dieu plus que les holocaustes.
7 But they like Adam have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
Mais eux comme Adam, ils ont prévariqué contre moi.
8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity; it is tracked with blood.
Galaad est une cité de fabricateurs d’idoles, renversée par le sang.
9 And as troops of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way of Shechem; yea, they commit lewdness.
Et elle est comme le gosier des voleurs altéré de carnage, alliée aux prêtres qui sur la voie tuent ceux qui viennent de Sichem; parce qu’ils sont livrés au crime.
10 In the house of Israel have I seen a horrible thing: the whoredom of Ephraim is there; Israel is defiled.
Dans la maison d’Israël j’ai vu une chose horrible; là sont les fornications d’Ephraïm; Israël s’est souillé.
11 Also, for thee, Judah, is a harvest appointed, when I shall turn again the captivity of my people.
Mais toi aussi, Juda, prépare-toi une moisson, lorsque je ramènerai de la captivité mon peuple.
