Hebrews 7
1 For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from smiting the kings, and blessed him;
Para este Melquisedeque, rei de Salém, sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo, que encontrou Abraão retornando da matança dos reis e o abençoou,
2 to whom Abraham gave also the tenth portion of all; first being interpreted King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace;
a quem também Abraão dividiu uma décima parte de tudo (sendo primeiro, por interpretação, “rei da justiça”, e depois também “rei de Salém”, que significa “rei da paz”,
3 without father, without mother, without genealogy; having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but assimilated to the Son of God, abides a priest continually.
sem pai, sem mãe, sem genealogia, não tendo nem início nem fim de vida, mas feito como o Filho de Deus), continua sendo um sacerdote continuamente.
4 Now consider how great this [personage] was, to whom [even] the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth out of the spoils.
Agora considere como este homem era grande, a quem até Abraão, o patriarca, deu um décimo do melhor saque.
5 And they indeed from among the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is from their brethren, though these are come out of the loins of Abraham:
Os filhos de Levi que recebem o sacerdócio têm o mandamento de receber o dízimo do povo segundo a lei, isto é, de seus irmãos, embora estes tenham saído do corpo de Abraão,
6 but he who has no genealogy from them has tithed Abraham, and blessed him who had the promises.
mas aquele cuja genealogia não é contada deles, aceitou o dízimo de Abraão, e abençoou aquele que tem as promessas.
7 But beyond all gainsaying, the inferior is blessed by the better.
Mas sem nenhuma disputa, o menor é abençoado pelo maior.
8 And here dying men receive tithes; but there [one] of whom the witness is that he lives;
Aqui as pessoas que morrem recebem o dízimo, mas ali se recebe o dízimo de quem é testemunhado que ele vive.
9 and, so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been made to pay tithes.
Podemos dizer que através de Abraão até Levi, que recebe o dízimo, pagou o dízimo,
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father when Melchisedec met him.
pois ele ainda estava no corpo de seu pai quando Melquisedeque o conheceu.
11 If indeed then perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, for the people had their law given to them in connexion with it, what need [was there] still that a different priest should arise according to the order of Melchisedec, and not be named after the order of Aaron?
Agora, se a perfeição foi através do sacerdócio levítico (pois sob ele o povo recebeu a lei), que necessidade adicional havia de outro sacerdote surgir após a ordem de Melquisedeque, e não ser chamado após a ordem de Aarão?
12 For, the priesthood being changed, there takes place of necessity a change of law also.
Para o sacerdócio ser mudado, há necessidade de uma mudança feita também na lei.
13 For he, of whom these things are said, belongs to a different tribe, of which no one has [ever] been attached to the service of the altar.
Para aquele de quem estas coisas são ditas pertence a outra tribo, da qual ninguém oficializou no altar.
14 For it is clear that our Lord has sprung out of Juda, as to which tribe Moses spake nothing as to priests.
Pois é evidente que nosso Senhor saiu de Judá, sobre qual tribo Moisés nada falou a respeito do sacerdócio.
15 And it is yet more abundantly evident, since a different priest arises according to the similitude of Melchisedec,
Isto é ainda mais evidente, se depois da semelhança de Melquisedeque surgir outro sacerdote,
16 who has been constituted not according to law of fleshly commandment, but according to power of indissoluble life.
que foi feito, não depois da lei de um mandamento carnal, mas depois do poder de uma vida sem fim;
17 For it is borne witness, Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn g165)
pois ele é testemunhado, “Você é um padre para sempre”, de acordo com a ordem de Melchizedek”. (aiōn g165)
18 For there is a setting aside of the commandment going before for its weakness and unprofitableness,
Pois há a anulação de um mandamento anterior por causa de sua fraqueza e inutilidade
19 (for the law perfected nothing, ) and the introduction of a better hope by which we draw nigh to God.
(pois a lei não fez nada perfeito), e a introdução de uma esperança melhor, através da qual nos aproximamos de Deus.
20 And by how much [it was] not without the swearing of an oath;
Inasmuch pois ele não foi feito sacerdote sem fazer um juramento
21 (for they are become priests without the swearing of an oath, but he with the swearing of an oath, by him who said, as to him, The Lord has sworn, and will not repent [of it], Thou [art] priest for ever [according to the order of Melchisedec]; ) (aiōn g165)
(pois de fato foram feitos sacerdotes sem juramento), mas ele com um juramento dele que diz dele, “O Senhor jurou e não vai mudar de idéia, “Você é um padre para sempre, de acordo com a ordem de Melchizedek'”. (aiōn g165)
22 by so much Jesus became surety of a better covenant.
Por tanto, Jesus se tornou a garantia de um pacto melhor.
23 And they have been many priests, on account of being hindered from continuing by death;
Muitos, de fato, foram feitos sacerdotes, porque são impedidos de continuar pela morte.
Mas ele, porque vive para sempre, tem seu sacerdócio imutável. (aiōn g165)
25 Whence also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God, always living to intercede for them.
Portanto, ele também é capaz de salvar até o extremo aqueles que se aproximam de Deus através dele, vendo que ele vive para sempre para interceder por eles.
26 For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and become higher than the heavens:
Para tal sumo sacerdote era apropriado para nós: santo, sem culpa, sem mancha, separado dos pecadores e feito mais alto que os céus;
27 who has not day by day need, as the high priests, first to offer up sacrifices for his own sins, then [for] those of the people; for this he did once for all [in] having offered up himself.
que não precisa, como aqueles sumo sacerdotes, oferecer sacrifícios diariamente, primeiro por seus próprios pecados, e depois pelos pecados do povo. Pois ele o fez de uma vez por todas, quando se ofereceu a si mesmo.
28 For the law constitutes men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the swearing of the oath which [is] after the law, a Son perfected for ever. (aiōn g165)
Pois a lei nomeia os homens como sumos sacerdotes que têm fraqueza, mas a palavra do juramento, que veio depois da lei, nomeia um Filho para sempre que foi aperfeiçoado. (aiōn g165)
