< Hebrews 6 >
1 Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of the Christ, let us go on [to what belongs] to full growth, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and faith in God,
Rumal kꞌu riꞌ, man xwi ta bꞌa kaqilij ri nabꞌe taq kꞌutuꞌn ri xya chaqe chirij ri Cristo xane joꞌ chiqawach. Man are ta chi bꞌa kaqatzalij ubꞌixik ri nabꞌe taq jastaq jetaq ri chꞌekoj koltajem rukꞌ ri chak ri xaq kamikal kukꞌam loq, ri kojonik chirij ri Dios,
2 of [the] doctrine of washings, and of imposition of hands, and of resurrection of [the] dead, and of eternal judgment; (aiōnios )
ri ucholajil chirij ri qasanaꞌ, ri yaꞌoj qꞌabꞌaj pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, ri kꞌastajibꞌal kiwach ri kaminaqibꞌ xuqujeꞌ ri qꞌatoj tzij ri man kꞌo ta ukꞌisik. (aiōnios )
3 and this will we do if God permit.
Ronojel waꞌ kaqabꞌano we kuya bꞌe ri Dios chaqe.
4 For it is impossible to renew again to repentance those once enlightened, and who have tasted of the heavenly gift, and have been made partakers of [the] Holy Spirit,
Rumal cher makuya ta chik chi ri winaq ri xetunax kanoq rumal ri sipanik rech chilaꞌ chikaj xuqujeꞌ xyaꞌtaj kech ri Uxlabꞌixel,
5 and have tasted the good word of God, and [the] works of power of [the] age to come, (aiōn )
xuqujeꞌ utz xkita ri utz laj utzij ri Dios xuqujeꞌ utz xkita ri kwinem ri kape na. (aiōn )
6 and have fallen away, crucifying for themselves [as they do] the Son of God, and making a show of [him].
Xetzaq chi kꞌu junmul, man kuya ta kꞌut kabꞌan chi kꞌakꞌ chike junmul rumal man kuya taj karip chi junmul ri Ukꞌojol ri Dios xa rumal ke aꞌreꞌ.
7 For ground which drinks the rain which comes often upon it, and produces useful herbs for those for whose sakes also it is tilled, partakes of blessing from God;
Rumal cher jetaq ta ne ri ulew, kubꞌiqꞌ ri jabꞌ ri kaqaj choch, kꞌa te riꞌ kuya uwach ri utz xuqujeꞌ jeꞌl taq tikoꞌn kech ri ketikowik, kukꞌamawaꞌj ri utewechiꞌbꞌal ri Dios.
8 but bringing forth thorns and briars, it is found worthless and nigh to a curse, whose end [is] to be burned.
Are kꞌu ri ulew ri xaq kꞌix kakꞌiy choch, man kꞌo ta kutayij, xane xaq rayeꞌm ketzelaxik xuqujeꞌ rayeꞌm kaporoxik.
9 But we are persuaded concerning you, beloved, better things, and connected with salvation, even if we speak thus.
Are kꞌu ri ix loqꞌalaj taq wachalal, pune jeriꞌ kaqabꞌij chiꞌwe, uchapom qakꞌuꞌx chi man ixtanalinaq taj che ri ikojonem, we riꞌ sibꞌalaj utz kubꞌan chiꞌwe rech jeriꞌ kixkolotajik.
10 For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work, and the love which ye have shewn to his name, having ministered to the saints, and [still] ministering.
Rumal cher ri Dios sukꞌ, man kasachan ta ri ichak rech loqꞌanik ri ibꞌanom xuqujeꞌ ri kibꞌan na chikitoꞌik ri e tyoxalaj taq winaq.
11 But we desire earnestly that each one of you shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end;
Kurayij qanimaꞌ chi xaq jeꞌ kiwilij ubꞌanik ri chak kꞌa pa ri kꞌisbꞌal qꞌij, rech jeriꞌ kikꞌamawaꞌj ri utojbꞌalil.
12 that ye be not sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience have been inheritors of the promises.
Man kixux ta saqꞌoribꞌ, xane chiwesaj kiwach ri rumal ri kikojobꞌal xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ ayeꞌnik kakikꞌamawaꞌj ri bꞌiꞌtal loq chike.
13 For God, having promised to Abraham, since he had no greater to swear by, swore by himself,
Rumal cher are taq xubꞌij loq ri Dios che ri Abraham, in katintewechiꞌj na. Rumal kꞌu che ri man kꞌo ta jun rukꞌ kubꞌan wi ri chꞌekom tzij, xubꞌan ri chꞌekom tzij rukꞌ areꞌ pa utukel.
14 saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee;
Ri Dios xubꞌij che ri Abraham: Qas tzij katintewechiꞌj na xuqujeꞌ keꞌnkꞌiyarisaj na ri awijaꞌl.
15 and thus, having had long patience, he got the promise.
Ri Abraham xrayeꞌj rukꞌ kuꞌlibꞌal kuꞌx ri xbꞌix loq che.
16 For men indeed swear by a greater, and with them the oath is a term to all dispute, as making matters sure.
Qas tzij wi ri achyabꞌ kakibꞌan chꞌekom tzij choch jun winaq ri nim reqeleꞌn chikiwach, are kabꞌiꞌtaj jun jastaq kumal, makekwin taj kakitzalij kibꞌ che ri xkibꞌij.
17 Wherein God, willing to shew more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his purpose, intervened by an oath,
Rumal riꞌ ri Dios rumal chi karaj kukꞌut chikiwach ri eꞌchanel chi ri bꞌiꞌtal loq man kꞌo ta jun kakꞌexowik, rumal riꞌ xubꞌan ri chꞌekom tzij.
18 that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,
Jeriꞌ xubꞌano rech rumal ri bꞌiꞌtal loq xuqujeꞌ ri chꞌekom tzij, are waꞌ kebꞌ jastaq ri man kakꞌexetaj ta wi, rumal cher ri Dios man kubꞌan ta bꞌanoj tzij. Waꞌ we riꞌ kuya ukuꞌlibꞌal qakꞌuꞌx rumal cher are kaqaj chi ri Dios kujuchajij, xuqujeꞌ qas kuꞌl wi qakꞌuꞌx chi kuya na chaqe ri ubꞌim loq.
19 which we have as anchor of the soul, both secure and firm, and entering into that within the veil,
Waꞌ we riꞌ qas kubꞌan chaqe chi qas kakubꞌiꞌ qakꞌuꞌx jacha ta ne ri jun jukubꞌ bꞌinibꞌal puꞌwiꞌ ri jaꞌ ko xekelik rumal cher ko xeketal rumal ri chꞌichꞌ ri qajinaq pa ri jaꞌ, jewaꞌ ri kꞌulibꞌal kuꞌx ri kok bꞌik chirij ri tasbꞌal ri kꞌo pa ri Ja Qꞌijilaꞌbꞌal Dios.
20 where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn )
Chilaꞌ xok wi bꞌik ri Jesús rumal qe, are waꞌ ri xbꞌan bꞌik kinimal ri e chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq che, jetaq ri xux ri Melquisedec. (aiōn )
