Haggai 1
1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, came the word of Jehovah by the prophet Haggai unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
१पारसाचा राजा दारयावेश राजा याच्या कारकिर्दीच्या दुसऱ्या वर्षाच्या, सहाव्या महिन्याच्या, पहिल्या दिवशी, शल्तीएलाचा मुलगा जरुब्बाबेल यहूदाचा राज्यपाल व यहोसादाकचा मुलगा यहोशवा, मुख्य याजक याच्याकडे हाग्गय संदेष्ट्याद्वारे परमेश्वराचे वचन आले, ते असे,
2 Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that Jehovah's house should be built.
२सेनाधीश परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “हे लोक म्हणतात, की आमची येण्याची अजून वेळ आली नाही, किंवा परमेश्वराचे मंदिर बांधण्याची वेळ अजून आली नाही.”
3 And the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
३आणि परमेश्वराचे वचन हाग्गय संदेष्ट्याच्या द्वारे आले आणि म्हणाले,
4 Is it time for you that ye should dwell in your wainscoted houses, while this house lieth waste?
४“इकडे हे मंदिर ओसाड पडले असता, तुम्ही आपल्या परिपूर्ण घरात रहावे असा समय आहे काय?
5 And now thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.
५आता सेनाधीश परमेश्वर म्हणतोः तुम्ही आपल्या मार्गाकडे लक्ष द्या!
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but are not satisfied; ye drink, but are not filled with drink; ye clothe yourselves, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages for a bag with holes.
६तुम्ही खूप बीज पेरता, पण तुमच्या हाती थोडेच पीक लागते; तुम्ही खाता पण ते तुम्हास पुरेसे नसते, तुम्ही पिता पण पिण्याने तुमची तृप्ती होत नाही, तुम्ही कपडे घालता परंतु त्यांनी ऊब येत नाही, आणि जो मजुरी मिळवतो तो ती छिद्र पडलेल्या पिशवीत घालण्यासाठी कमवतो.”
7 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.
७सेनाधीश परमेश्वर असे म्हणतोः “आपल्या मार्गाकडे लक्ष द्या!
8 Go up to the mountain and bring wood, and build the house, and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith Jehovah.
८पर्वतावर जा, लाकडे आणा आणि माझे मंदिर बांधा; मग मी त्यामध्ये आनंद करीन आणि मी गौरविला जाईन,” असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
9 Ye looked for much, and behold it was little; and when ye brought it home, I blew upon it. Wherefore? saith Jehovah of hosts. Because of my house that lieth waste, whilst ye run every man to his own house.
९“तुम्ही पुष्कळाची वाट पाहिली, परंतु पाहा! तुम्ही थोडके घरी आणले तेव्हा मी त्यावर फुंकर मारली! हे का? असे सेनाधीश परमेश्वर म्हणतो! कारण माझे घर ओसाड पडले असून प्रत्येक मनुष्य आपआपल्या स्वत: च्या घरात आनंद घेत आहे.
10 Therefore over you the heavens withhold their dew, and the earth withholdeth its fruit.
१०यास्तव तुमच्यापासून आकाशाने दहिवराला आवरून धरले आहे व भूमीने आपला उपज रोखून धरला आहे.”
11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon man, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
११“मी भूमीवर आणि पर्वतांवर, धान्यावर नव्या द्राक्षरसावर व तेलावर आणि भूमीच्या पिकावर, मनुष्यावर आणि पशूवर व तुमच्या हातच्या कमाईवर अवर्षणाची आज्ञा दिली आहे.”
12 And Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the remnant of the people, hearkened to the voice of Jehovah their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, according as Jehovah their God had sent him, and the people feared before Jehovah.
१२मग शल्तीएलाचा मुलगा जरुब्बाबेल आणि मुख्य याजक यहोसादाकाचा मुलगा यहोशवा व उरलेले सर्व लोक यांनी, आपला देव परमेश्वर याची वाणी आणि हाग्गय संदेष्ट्याची वचने मानली, कारण आपला देव परमेश्वर ह्याने त्यास पाठवले होते आणि लोक परमेश्वराच्या मुखाचे भय धरू लागले.
13 Then spoke Haggai, Jehovah's messenger, in Jehovah's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith Jehovah.
१३मग परमेश्वराचा निरोप्या, हाग्गय याने, परमेश्वराचा निरोप लोकांस सांगितला आणि म्हणाला; परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “मी तुमच्याबरोबर आहे!”
14 And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked at the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,
१४यहूदाचा राज्यपाल शल्तीएलाचा मुलगा जरुब्बाबेल, मुख्य याजक यहोसादाकाचा मुलगा यहोशवा आणि सर्व उरलेल्या लोकांच्या आत्म्याला परमेश्वराने उत्तेजित केले. तेव्हा ते जाऊन आपला देव सेनाधीश परमेश्वर याचे मंदिर बांधण्याच्या कामास लागले.
15 in the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
१५दारयावेश राजाच्या कारकिर्दीच्या दुसऱ्या वर्षीच्या सहाव्या महिन्याच्या चोविसाव्या दिवशी हे झाले.
