< Galatians 1 >
1 Paul, apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God [the] Father who raised him from among [the] dead,
Paulu, aposteli tí a rán kì í ṣe láti ọ̀dọ̀ ènìyàn wá, tàbí nípa ènìyàn, ṣùgbọ́n nípa Jesu Kristi àti Ọlọ́run Baba, ẹni tí ó jí i dìde kúrò nínú òkú.
2 and all the brethren with me, to the assemblies of Galatia.
Àti gbogbo àwọn arákùnrin tí ó wà pẹ̀lú mi, Sí àwọn ìjọ ní Galatia:
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God [the] Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
Oore-ọ̀fẹ́ sí yín àti àlàáfíà láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run Baba wá àti Jesu Kristi Olúwa,
4 who gave himself for our sins, so that he should deliver us out of the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father; (aiōn )
ẹni tí ó fi òun tìkára rẹ̀ dípò ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa, kí ó lè gbà wá kúrò nínú ayé búburú ìsinsin yìí, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run àti Baba wa, (aiōn )
5 to whom [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn )
ẹni tí ògo wà fún láé àti láéláé. Àmín. (aiōn )
6 I wonder that ye thus quickly change, from him that called you in Christ's grace, to a different gospel,
Ó yà mi lẹ́nu pé ẹ tètè yapa kúrò lọ́dọ̀ ẹni tí ó pè yín sínú oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Kristi, sí ìyìnrere mìíràn.
7 which is not another [one]; but there are some that trouble you, and desire to pervert the glad tidings of the Christ.
Nítòótọ́, kò sí ìyìnrere mìíràn bí ó tilẹ̀ ṣe pé àwọn kan wà, tí ń yọ yín lẹ́nu, tí wọ́n sì ń fẹ́ yí ìyìnrere Kristi padà.
8 But if even we or an angel out of heaven announce as glad tidings to you [anything] besides what we have announced as glad tidings to you, let him be accursed.
Ṣùgbọ́n bí ó ṣe àwa ni tàbí angẹli kan láti ọ̀run wá, ni ó bá wàásù ìyìnrere mìíràn fún yín ju èyí tí a tí wàásù rẹ̀ fún yín lọ, jẹ́ kí ó di ẹni ìfibú títí láéláé!
9 As we have said before, now also again I say, If any one announce to you as glad tidings [anything] besides what ye have received, let him be accursed.
Bí àwa ti wí ṣáájú, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni mo sì tún wí nísinsin yìí pé, bí ẹnìkan bá wàásù ìyìnrere mìíràn fún yín ju èyí tí ẹ̀yin tí gbà lọ, jẹ́ kí ó di ẹni ìfibú títí láéláé!
10 For do I now seek to satisfy men or God? or do I seek to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I were not Christ's bondman.
Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, ènìyàn ni èmi ń wá ojúrere rẹ̀ ní tàbí Ọlọ́run? Tàbí ènìyàn ni èmi ń fẹ́ láti wù bí? Bí èmi bá ń fẹ́ láti wu ènìyàn, èmi kò lè jẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ Kristi.
11 But I let you know, brethren, [as to] the glad tidings which were announced by me, that they are not according to man.
Mo fẹ́ kí ẹ mọ̀, ará, pé ìyìnrere tí mo tí wàásù kì í ṣe láti ipa ènìyàn.
12 For neither did I receive them from man, neither was I taught [them], but by revelation of Jesus Christ.
N kò gbà á lọ́wọ́ ènìyàn kankan, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò fi kọ́ mi, ṣùgbọ́n mo gbà á nípa ìfihàn láti ọ̀dọ̀ Jesu Kristi.
13 For ye have heard [what was] my conversation formerly in Judaism, that I excessively persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it;
Nítorí ẹ̀yin ti gbúròó ìgbé ayé mi nígbà àtijọ́ nínú ìsìn àwọn Júù, bí mo tí ṣe inúnibíni sí ìjọ ènìyàn Ọlọ́run rékọjá ààlà, tí mo sì lépa láti bà á jẹ́.
14 and advanced in Judaism beyond many [my] contemporaries in my nation, being exceedingly zealous of the doctrines of my fathers.
Mo sì ta ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́ mi yọ nínú ìsìn àwọn Júù láàrín àwọn ìran mi, mo sì ni ìtara lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ sì òfin àtọwọ́dọ́wọ́ àwọn baba mi.
15 But when God, who set me apart [even] from my mother's womb, and called [me] by his grace,
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ó wú Ọlọ́run ẹni tí ó yà mí sọ́tọ̀ láti inú ìyá mi wá, tí ó sì pé mi nípa oore-ọ̀fẹ́ rẹ̀.
16 was pleased to reveal his Son in me, that I may announce him as glad tidings among the nations, immediately I took not counsel with flesh and blood,
Láti fi ọmọ rẹ̀ hàn nínú mi, kì èmi lè máa wàásù ìyìnrere rẹ̀ láàrín àwọn aláìkọlà; èmi kò wá ìmọ̀ lọ sọ́dọ̀ ẹnikẹ́ni,
17 nor went I up to Jerusalem to those [who were] apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and again returned to Damascus.
bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kò gòkè lọ sì Jerusalẹmu tọ àwọn tí í ṣe aposteli ṣáájú mi, ṣùgbọ́n mo lọ sí Arabia, mo sì tún padà wá sí Damasku.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with Peter, and I remained with him fifteen days;
Lẹ́yìn ọdún mẹ́ta, nígbà náà ni mo gòkè lọ sì Jerusalẹmu láti lọ kì Peteru, mo sì gbé ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀ ní ìjọ mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dógún,
19 but I saw none other of the apostles, but James the brother of the Lord.
èmi kò ri ẹlòmíràn nínú àwọn tí ó jẹ́ aposteli, bí kò ṣe Jakọbu arákùnrin Olúwa.
20 Now what I write to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.
Nǹkan tí èmi ń kọ̀wé sí yín yìí, kíyèsi i, níwájú Ọlọ́run èmi kò ṣèké.
21 Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
Lẹ́yìn náà mo sì wá sí agbègbè Siria àti ti Kilikia.
22 But I was unknown personally to the assemblies of Judaea which [are] in Christ;
Mo sì jẹ́ ẹni tí a kò mọ̀ lójú fún àwọn ìjọ tí ó wà nínú Kristi ni Judea.
23 only they were hearing that he who persecuted us formerly now announces the glad tidings of the faith which formerly he ravaged:
Wọ́n kàn gbọ́ ìròyìn wí pé, “Ẹni tí ó tí ń ṣe inúnibíni sí wa rí, ní ìsinsin yìí ti ń wàásù ìgbàgbọ́ náà tí ó ti gbìyànjú láti bàjẹ́ nígbà kan rí.”
24 and they glorified God in me.
Wọ́n sì yin Ọlọ́run lógo nítorí mi.
