< Exodus 20 >

1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
Chuin Pakaiyin mipi heng'a thupeh hichengse hi anei in.
2 I am Jehovah thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Keima na-Pakai u-leh na-Pathen chu kahi, Egypt gamsung'a nasoh chan nauva konna nalhatdoh pau chu keima kahi,” ati.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
“Keima tailou Pathen dang nanei louhel diu ahi.”
4 Thou shalt not make thyself any graven image, or any form of what is in the heavens above, or what is in the earth beneath, or what is in the waters under the earth:
“Nang hon vannoi leiset hihen twikhanglen'a um thil hijong leh alim na semthu uva pathen lim'a naman theilou ding'u ahi.”
5 thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, Jehovah thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and to the fourth [generation] of them that hate me,
“Hicheng ho ang sung'a chu naboh khup louhel diu, ajeh chu keima, na-Pakaiyu-leh na-Pathen-u kahin pathen dang na kisem uva ahileh, keiman nangho heng'a ka lethuh diu napu na pate'u le nangma insung cheh chule a khang thumle li na channa lethuh ding kahi,” ati.
6 and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
“Keima thupeh nit jinga, eingailu mi chu asang aja chung'a kalungset nalong lou chu ka umsah jing ding ahiye,” ati.
7 Thou shalt not idly utter the name of Jehovah thy God; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that idly uttereth his name.
“Nangman Na-Pakai le Na-Pathen min jeng jong ajehbeija namin phah lou ding ahi. Ajeh chu Pakaiyin Ama min ajehbeija minphah chung'a themmo achansah ding ahi.”
8 Remember the sabbath day to hallow it.
“Cholngah nikho hi atheng'a nanit jing ding ahiti, sumil hih hel'in.”
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work;
“Natoh ding cheng nigup sungse'a natoh chai ding,
10 but the seventh day is the sabbath of Jehovah thy God: thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy bondman, nor thy handmaid, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.
Ni sagi lhinni hi na-Pakaiya dia cholngah nikho, hiche nikhoa hi nangman natoh ima nabol louhel ding chule nangma nahin, nachapa, nachanu, na sohpa, na sohnu, na gancha jouse le na kelkot phung hungsung lha'a na kholjin mi naboncha uva ima natoh thei lou hel diuva ahiye.”
11 For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
“Ajeh chu Pakaiyin nigup sungsen van le leiset, twikhanglen le asung'a umjouse ana sem in; hiche nikhoa chu Pakaiyin cholngah nikho hi phatthei aboh'a ana lhandohsa ahi tai,” ati.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be prolonged in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
“Chule Pakai na-Pathen in napehsa hiche leiset chunga na hinkho asot thei na ding in nanu napa ging jing in.”
13 Thou shalt not kill.
“Toltha nabol lou ding ahi.”
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
“Mitoh jon nabol lou ding.”
15 Thou shalt not steal.
“Guchat nabol lou ding.”
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
“Na sopi muda man'na thuse pole a napan lou ding.”
17 Thou shalt not desire thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not desire thy neighbour's wife, nor his bondman, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.
“Na kinaipi khat inchen chu na thangsetpi lou ding ahi. Na sopi ji khat chu na deichat lou ding, chule asohpa ahin, asohnu ahin abong chal ahin, asangan hijong le na sopi chule na kinaipi koma thil ima navet lal lou hel ding ahi,” ati.
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw [it], they trembled, and stood afar off,
Mipihon van gin nasa tah chu aja tauvin, kolphe jeng jong amu tauvin, sumkon gin jing jong athong jeju jeng tan, molchung lam'a kon meikhu amukit tauvin ahile amaho chung'a kichatna alhung ta, chuin amahon anailut ngam tapouvin ahile gamlha tah'in aum den tauve.

“Chu in mipihon jong Mose heng'a asei tauvin, ‘Sei ding a na deisah chan keima ho heng'a seijeng tan, na sei kangai diu ahiye, ajeh chu Pathen in keiho heng'a thu seikha taleh mohseh'a ka thi gam lhah jeng ding'u ahi!”
20 And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.
“Mose'n a donbut uvin hiti hin aseiye, “Kicha hih un,” Pathen na gin diu chule na chonset thei lou na diuva, nangho sudet ding'a Pathen hung'a ahi joi!” ati.
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the obscurity where God was.
“Meilhang kiheh muthim'in atom nalah Pathen angsung'a chun Mose ache lut tan ahile, mipi jong chu akicha uvin gamlha thimma chun ading densoh kei tauve.”
22 And Jehovah said to Moses, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: Ye have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.
Pakaiyin Mose heng'a aseijin, “Hiche hi Isarel mite heng'a seipeh tauvin: vanna kon in nang ho toh kihouna kaneije, tihi na mit tah uvin namu tauve,” ati.
23 Ye shall not make beside me gods of silver, and ye shall not make to you gods of gold.
“Geldoh jing un, ka masang'a dangka'a kijem patthen dang na sem louhel diu, dangka'a ki sem pathen dang kiti phot khat jeng cha jong nasem lou beh diu ahiye,” ati.
24 An altar of earth shalt thou make unto me, and shalt sacrifice on it thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep and thine oxen: in all places where I shall make my name to be remembered, I will come unto thee, and bless thee.
“Keima ding'in vannoi leiset na maicham khat nasem ding, hiche maicham chung'a chu pumgo thilto, chule chamna thilto jouse jaona kelngoi nou ahin, bongchal thilto a ding chengse jong na todoh ding, hoichan'na hijong le Keima geldoh jing'na ding'a naheng'a kahung jing ding phatthei ka chansah ding nahiye,” ati.
25 And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone; for if thou lift up thy sharp tool upon it, thou hast profaned it.
“Chule nangman song maicham kiti khat nasem ding'a ahile, hicha song naman chah ding chu kijem pol ding chule songchung'a chu khut themma thiljem najihlut ding kitup tah'a na koi ding ahiye.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
“Maicham chungvum lam'a kalbi nado son ding chule nangma na sagohkeo jeng jong kimusah louva, ding-chang khenna na um ding ahiye,” ati.
