< Ephesians 4 >

1 I, the prisoner in [the] Lord, exhort you therefore to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye have been called,
Ine monga wamʼndende chifukwa chotumikira Ambuye, ndikukulimbikitsani kuti mukhale moyo woyenera mayitanidwe amene munalandira.
2 with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;
Mukhale odzichepetsa kwathunthu ndi ofatsa; mukhale oleza mtima, ololerana wina ndi mnzake mwachikondi.
3 using diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace.
Muyesetse kusunga umodzi wa Mzimu; umodzi umene umatimangirira pamodzi mu mtendere.
4 [There is] one body and one Spirit, as ye have been also called in one hope of your calling;
Pali thupi limodzi ndiponso Mzimu mmodzi, monganso pali chiyembekezo chimodzi chimene anakuyitanirani.
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
Pali Ambuye mmodzi, chikhulupiriro chimodzi, ubatizo umodzi;
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
Mulungu mmodzi ndi Atate a onse, ndipo ali mwa onse.
7 But to each one of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.
Koma aliyense wa ife wapatsidwa chisomo molingana ndi muyeso wa mphatso ya Khristu.
8 Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men.
Nʼchifukwa chake akunena kuti, “Iye atakwera kumwamba, anatenga chigulu cha a mʼndende ndipo anapereka mphatso kwa anthu.”
9 But that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
Kodi mawu akuti, “Iye anakwera” akutanthauza chiyani, ngati Iyeyo sanatsikire kunsi kwa dziko lapansi?
10 He that descended is the same who has also ascended up above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;
Iye amene anatsika ndi yemweyo anakwera koposa mʼmayiko a kumwamba onse, ndi cholinga choti zinthu zonse zikhale zodzaza ndi Iye.
11 and he has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers,
Iye ndiye amene anapereka mphatso kwa ena kuti akhale atumwi ndi ena aneneri, ena alaliki, ndi ena abusa ndi aphunzitsi.
12 for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to [the] work of [the] ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;
Ntchito yawo ndi kukonza oyera mtima kuti agwire ntchito ya utumiki kuti thupi la Khristu lilimbikitsidwe.
13 until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at [the] full-grown man, at [the] measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ;
Izi zidzatifikitsa tonse ku umodzi wachikhulupiriro, kumudziwa Mwana wa Mulungu, kukhwima msinkhu ndi kufika pa muyeso wangwiro weniweni wopezeka mwa Khristu.
14 in order that we may be no longer babes, tossed and carried about by every wind of that teaching [which is] in the sleight of men, in unprincipled cunning with a view to systematized error;
Motero sitidzakhalanso makanda, ogwedezekagwedezeka ndi mafunde, otengekatengeka ndi mphepo iliyonse ya chiphunzitso ndi kuchenjera kwa anthu achinyengo amene amasocheretsa anthu ndi kuchenjera kwawo.
15 but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
Mʼmalo mwake, poyankhula choonadi mwachikondi, tidzakula mu zinthu zonse ndi kukhala thupi la Khristu, amene ndi Mutu, omwe ndi mpingo.
16 from whom the whole body, fitted together, and connected by every joint of supply, according to [the] working in [its] measure of each one part, works for itself the increase of the body to its self-building up in love.
Mwa Iye thupi lonse lalumikizidwa ndi kugwirana pamodzi ndi mitsempha yothandizira. Likukula ndi kudzilimbitsa lokha mwachikondi, pomwe chiwalo chilichonse chikugwira ntchito yake.
17 This I say therefore, and testify in [the] Lord, that ye should no longer walk as [the rest of] the nations walk in [the] vanity of their mind,
Tsono ine ndikukuwuzani izi, ndipo ndikunenetsa mwa Ambuye, kuti musayendenso monga amachitira anthu a mitundu ina potsata maganizo awo opanda pake.
18 being darkened in understanding, estranged from the life of God by reason of the ignorance which is in them, by reason of the hardness of their hearts,
Maganizo awo ndi odetsedwa, ndi osiyanitsidwa ndi moyo wa Mulungu chifukwa cha umbuli umene uli mwa iwo chifukwa cha kuwuma mtima kwawo.
19 who having cast off all feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greedy unsatisfied lust.
Popeza sazindikiranso kanthu kalikonse, adzipereka okha kuti akhumbe zonyansa, kuti achite mtundu uliwonse wa zoyipa ndi zilakolako zosatha.
20 But ye have not thus learnt the Christ,
Koma inu simunadziwe Khristu mʼnjira yotere.
21 if ye have heard him and been instructed in him according as [the] truth is in Jesus;
Zoonadi munamva za Iye ndipo munaphunzitsidwa mwa Iye molingana ndi choonadi chimene chili mwa Yesu.
22 [namely] your having put off according to the former conversation the old man which corrupts itself according to the deceitful lusts;
Inu munaphunzitsidwa molingana ndi moyo wanu wakale, kuchotsa umunthu wakale, umene ukupitirira kuwonongeka ndi zilakolako zachinyengo;
23 and being renewed in the spirit of your mind;
kuti mukonzedwe mwatsopano mʼmitima mwanu;
24 and [your] having put on the new man, which according to God is created in truthful righteousness and holiness.
ndi kuti muvale umunthu watsopano, wolengedwa kuti ufanane ndi Mulungu mu chilungamo chenicheni ndi chiyero.
25 Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.
Chifukwa chake, aliyense wa inu aleke kunama ndipo ayankhule zoona kwa mʼbale wake, pakuti ife tonse ndife ziwalo za thupi limodzi.
26 Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,
Kwiyani koma musachimwe. Dzuwa lisalowe mukanali chikwiyire.
27 neither give room for the devil.
Musamupatse mpata Satana.
28 Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him toil, working what is honest with [his] hands, that he may have to distribute to him that has need.
Iye amene wakhala akuba asabenso, koma agwire ntchito ndi kuchita kenakake kaphindu ndi manja ake, kuti akhale ndi kenakake kogawana ndi amene akusowa.
29 Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if [there be] any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear [it].
Mʼkamwa mwanu musatuluke mawu aliwonse onyansa, koma okhawo amene ndi othandiza kulimbikitsa ena molingana ndi zosowa zawo, kuti athandize amene akawamve.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which ye have been sealed for [the] day of redemption.
Ndipo musamvetse chisoni Mzimu Woyera wa Mulungu amene mwasindikizidwa naye chizindikiro cha tsiku la kuwomboledwa.
31 Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;
Chotsani kuzondana, ukali ndi kupsa mtima, chiwawa ndi kuyankhula zachipongwe, pamodzi ndi choyipa chilichonse.
32 and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
Mukomerane mtima ndi kuchitirana chifundo wina ndi mnzake. Khululukiranani wina ndi mnzake, monga momwe Mulungu anakukhululukirani mwa Khristu.
