< Deuteronomy 30 >

1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt take them to heart among all the nations whither Jehovah thy God hath driven thee,
Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, “ʻI he fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni kotoa pē kiate koe, ʻae tāpuaki mo e malaʻia, ʻaia kuo u fokotuʻu ʻi ho ʻao, pea ke fakamanatu ki he ngaahi meʻa ni ʻi he puleʻanga kotoa pē, ʻaia kuo kapusi koe ki ai ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua,
2 and shalt return to Jehovah thy God, and shalt hearken to his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy sons, with all thy heart and with all thy soul;
Pea ke tafoki kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ʻo fai talangofua ki hono leʻo ʻo fakatatau ki he meʻa kotoa pē ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau kiate koe he ʻaho ni, ʻa koe mo hoʻo fānau, ʻaki ho loto kotoa pea ʻi ho laumālie kotoa;
3 that then Jehovah thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will gather thee again from all the peoples whither Jehovah thy God hath scattered thee.
‌ʻE toki liliu ai ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻa ho pōpula, pea ʻe ʻaloʻofa [ia ]kiate koe, pea ʻe tafoki [ia ]ʻo tānaki koe mei he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē, ʻaia kuo fakamovetevete koe ki ai ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua.
4 Though there were of you driven out unto the end of the heavens, from thence will Jehovah thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee;
Kapau ʻoku ai hao niʻihi kuo kapusi atu ki he potu mamaʻo ange ʻaupito ʻoe langi, ʻe tānaki koe mei ai ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea te ne ʻomi koe mei ai:
5 and Jehovah thy God will bring thee into the land that thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
Pea ʻe ʻomi koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ki he fonua ʻaia naʻe maʻu ʻe hoʻo ngaahi tamai, pea te ke maʻu ia; pea ʻe fai lelei ʻe ia kiate koe, pea fakatokolahi hake koe ʻi hoʻo ngaahi tamai.
6 And Jehovah thy God will circumcise thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
Pea ʻe kamuʻi ho loto ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, mo e loto ʻo ho hako, ke ke ʻofa kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻaki ho loto kotoa, pea ʻi ho laumālie kotoa, koeʻuhi ke ke moʻui.
7 And Jehovah thy God will put all these curses on thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, who have persecuted thee.
Pea ʻe ʻai ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻae ngaahi malaʻia ni kotoa pē ki ho ngaahi fili, pea kiate kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate koe, mo fakatangaʻi koe.
8 But thou shalt return and hearken to the voice of Jehovah, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
Pea te ke tafoki ʻo fai talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova, ʻo fai ʻae ngaahi fekau ni kotoa pē ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau kiate koe he ʻaho ni.
9 And Jehovah thy God will make thee abound in every work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, for good; for Jehovah will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers;
Pea ʻe fakamonūʻiaʻi koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻi he ngāue kotoa pē ʻa ho nima, ʻi he fua ʻo ho sino, ʻi he fua ʻo hoʻo fanga manu, pea ʻi he fua ʻo ho fonua, ke ke lelei ai: koeʻuhi ʻe toe fiefia ʻa Sihova kiate koe ʻi he lelei, ʻo hangē ko ʻene fiefia ki hoʻo ngaahi tamai:
10 if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law; if thou turn to Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Kapau te ke tokanga ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ke tauhi ʻene ngaahi fekau mo ʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni ʻaia kuo tohi ʻi he tohi ʻoe fono ni, pea kapau te ke tafoki kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻaki ho loto kotoa, mo ho laumālie kotoa.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day is not too wonderful for thee, neither is it far off.
“He ko e fekau ni ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau ai kiate koe he ʻaho ni, ʻoku ʻikai lilo meiate koe, pea ʻoku ʻikai mamaʻo ia ʻiate koe.
12 It is not in the heavens, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to the heavens, and bring it to us, that we should hear it and do it?
‌ʻOku ʻikai ʻi he langi ia, koeʻuhi ke ke pehē ai, ‘Ko hai ʻe ʻalu hake ki langi maʻatautolu, pea ʻomi ia kiate kitautolu, koeʻuhi ketau fanongo ki ai, ʻo fai ia?’
13 And it is not beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, that we should hear it and do it?
Pea ʻoku ʻikai mamaʻo atu ia ʻi he tuʻa tahi, koeʻuhi ke ke pehē ai, ‘Ko hai ʻe ʻalu mamaʻo atu ʻi he tahi pea ʻomi ia kiate kitautolu, koeʻuhi ketau fanongo ai, pea fai ia?’
14 For the word is very near to thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Ka ʻoku ofi ʻaupito ʻae lea kiate koe ʻoku ʻi ho ngutu, pea ʻi ho loto, koeʻuhi ke ke fai ki ai.
15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil,
“Vakai, kuo u fokotuʻu ʻi ho ʻao he ʻaho ni ʻae moʻui mo e lelei, mo e mate mo e kovi;
16 in that I command thee this day to love Jehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, that thou mayest live and multiply, and that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Koeʻuhi ʻi heʻeku fekau kiate koe he ʻaho ni ke ke ʻofa kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ke ʻalu ʻi hono ngaahi hala, pea tauhi ʻene ngaahi fekau mo ʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni mo ʻene ngaahi fakamaau, koeʻuhi ke ke moʻui pea hoko ʻo tokolahi: pea ʻe tāpuaki koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻi he fonua ʻaia ʻoku ke ʻalu ki ai ke maʻu ia.
17 But if thy heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and thou shalt bow down to other gods and serve them;
Pea kapau ʻe tafoki ho loto, pea ʻikai te ke tokanga, kae tohoekina koe ke mamaʻo, pea [ke ]lotu ki he ngaahi ʻotua kehe, pea tauhi ʻakinautolu;
18 I denounce unto you this day that ye shall surely perish; ye shall not prolong your days upon the land whereunto thou passest over the Jordan to possess it.
‌ʻOku ou valoki ʻakimoutolu he ʻaho ni ko e moʻoni te mou ʻauha, pea ʻe ʻikai te mou fakatolonga homou ngaahi ʻaho ʻi he fonua, ʻaia ʻoku mou ʻalu ai ki he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo Sioatani ke maʻu ia.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you: life and death have I set before you, blessing and cursing: choose then life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed,
‌ʻOku ou ui ki he langi mo māmani ke fakamoʻoni he ʻaho ni, kuo u fokotuʻu ʻi homou ʻao ʻae moʻui mo e mate, ʻae tāpuaki mo e malaʻia: ko ia ke ke fili ʻae moʻui, koeʻuhi ke moʻui fakatouʻosi ai koe mo ho hako:
20 in loving Jehovah thy God, in hearkening to his voice, and in cleaving to him — for this is thy life and the length of thy days — that thou mayest dwell in the land which Jehovah swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Koeʻuhi ke ke ʻofa kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea ke fai talangofua ki hono leʻo, pea koeʻuhi ke ke pikitai kiate ia: he ko hoʻo moʻuiʻanga ia, mo e fakatolongaʻanga ʻo ho ngaahi ʻaho: koeʻuhi ke ke nofo ai koe ʻi he fonua ʻaia naʻe fuakava ki ai ʻe Sihova ki hoʻo ngaahi tamai, kia ʻEpalahame, mo ʻAisake, pea mo Sēkope, ke foaki kiate kinautolu.”
