Deuteronomy 27
1 And Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.
੧ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ।
2 And it shall be on the day when ye pass over the Jordan unto the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:
੨ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੋਗੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਪਾਈ ਕਰਿਓ।
3 and thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou goest over that thou mayest enter into the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Jehovah the God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
੩ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਓ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਓ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਵਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
4 And it shall be when ye go over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, as I command you this day, on mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.
੪ਫੇਰ ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਏਬਾਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਪਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
5 And there shalt thou build an altar to Jehovah thy God, an altar of stones; thou shalt not lift up an iron [tool] upon them;
੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਇਓ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੋਹੇ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਦ ਨਾ ਚਲਾਇਓ।
6 of whole stones shalt thou build the altar of Jehovah thy God; and thou shalt offer up burnt-offerings thereon to Jehovah thy God.
੬ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਣਘੜਤ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਇਓ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਓ,
7 And thou shalt sacrifice peace-offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before Jehovah thy God.
੭ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਓ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਇਓ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਿਓ।
8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
੮ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸਾਫ਼ ਲਿਖਿਓ।”
9 And Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, Be silent and hearken, Israel! this day thou art become the people of Jehovah thy God.
੯ਤਦ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣੋ! ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋ,
10 And thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
੧੦ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੋ।”
11 And Moses gave commandment to the people the same day, saying,
੧੧ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
12 These shall stand to bless the people upon mount Gerizim, when ye have gone over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
੧੨ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਤਦ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ, ਲੇਵੀ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ, ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ, ਇਹ ਗਰਿੱਜ਼ੀਮ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਣ,
13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਰਊਬੇਨ, ਗਾਦ, ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ, ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਇਹ ਏਬਾਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ।
14 And the Levites shall declare and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice:
੧੪ਤਦ ਲੇਵੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਆਖਣ,
15 Cursed be the man that maketh a graven or molten image, an abomination to Jehovah, a work of the craftsman's hand, and putteth it up secretly! And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
੧੫ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਘੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਜਾਂ ਢਾਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਮੂਰਤ ਬਣਾਵੇ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਾਰੀਗਰ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੁਪਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਘਿਰਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ‘ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
16 Cursed be he that slighteth his father or his mother! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੧੬ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਾਦਰ ਕਰੇ। ‘ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
17 Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੧੭ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਵੇ। ‘ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
18 Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੧੮‘ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭਟਕਾ ਦੇਵੇ।’ ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।
19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੧੯ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ, ਯਤੀਮ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਗਾੜੇ। ‘ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
20 Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; for he uncovereth his father's skirt! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੦ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ, ਨਾਲ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਨੰਗੇਜ਼ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ। ‘ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
21 Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੧‘ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ। ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੨‘ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ, ਨਾਲ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
23 Cursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੩ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ। ‘ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
24 Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੪‘ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਮਾਰੇ। ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to smite mortally [shedding] innocent blood! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੫‘ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਖੂਨ ਕਰੇ। ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not the words of this law to do them! And all the people shall say, Amen.
੨੬‘ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ, ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ। ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਖੇ, ਆਮੀਨ।’
