2 Timothy 4
1 I testify before God and Christ Jesus, who is about to judge living and dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom,
Je t'en conjure devant Dieu et devant Jésus-Christ, qui doit juger les vivants et les morts, et au nom de son avènement et de son règne,
2 proclaim the word; be urgent in season [and] out of season, convict, rebuke, encourage, with all longsuffering and doctrine.
prêche la Parole, insiste en temps et hors de temps, reprends, censure, exhorte, en instruisant avec une patience parfaite;
3 For the time shall be when they will not bear sound teaching; but according to their own lusts will heap up to themselves teachers, having an itching ear;
car il viendra un temps où les hommes ne souffriront pas l'instruction morale, mais cédant à leurs passions, ils s'entoureront de docteurs qui chatouillent agréablement leurs oreilles,
4 and they will turn away their ear from the truth, and will have turned aside to fables.
et ils se détourneront de la vérité pour se tourner du côté des fables.
5 But thou, be sober in all things, bear evils, do [the] work of an evangelist, fill up the full measure of thy ministry.
Mais toi, conserve ton bon sens en toutes choses, sache souffrir, fais l'oeuvre d'un évangéliste. remplis tous les devoirs de ton ministère.
6 For I am already being poured out, and the time of my release is come.
Pour moi, je vais être immolé et le moment de mon départ est imminent.
7 I have combated the good combat, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
J'ai combattu le bon combat, j'ai achevé la course, j'ai gardé la foi;
8 Henceforth the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will render to me in that day; but not only to me, but also to all who love his appearing.
il ne me reste plus qu'à recevoir la couronne de justice qui m'est réservée: le Seigneur me la donnera en ce jour-là, lui, le juste juge, et non seulement à moi, mais aussi à tous ceux qui auront aimé son avènement.
9 Use diligence to come to me quickly;
Tâche de venir promptement vers moi,
10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved the present age, and is gone to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)

11 Luke alone is with me. Take Mark, and bring [him] with thyself, for he is serviceable to me for ministry.
Luc est seul avec moi. Prends Marc, et l'amène avec toi, car il m'est d'un grand secours pour le ministère.
12 But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
Pour Tychique, je l'ai envoyé à Éphèse.
13 The cloak which I left behind [me] in Troas at Carpus's, bring when thou comest, and the books, especially the parchments.
Apporte, en venant, le sac de voyage que j'ai laissé chez Carpus à Troas, ainsi que les livres, surtout les parchemins.
14 Alexander the smith did many evil things against me. The Lord will render to him according to his works.
Alexandre, le chaudronnier, m'a fait bien du mal: le Seigneur lui rendra selon ses oeuvres.
15 Against whom be thou also on thy guard, for he has greatly withstood our words.
Toi aussi, tiens-toi en garde contre lui, car il a fait une vive opposition à ce que nous lui avons dit.
16 At my first defence no man stood with me, but all deserted me. May it not be imputed to them.
Personne ne m'a soutenu de sa présence dans ma première plaidoirie; tous m'ont abandonné. Que cela ne leur soit point imputé!
17 But the Lord stood with [me], and gave me power, that through me the proclamation might be fully made, and all [those of] the nations should hear; and I was delivered out of the lion's mouth.
Mais le Seigneur m'a assisté et m'a fortifié, afin que j'annonçasse complètement l'Évangile et que tous les Gentils l'entendissent; et j'ai été délivré de la gueule du lion.
18 The Lord shall deliver me from every wicked work, and shall preserve [me] for his heavenly kingdom; to whom [be] glory for the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Le Seigneur me délivrera de toute méchante action, et me sauvera en m'appelant dans son royaume céleste. A lui soit la gloire aux siècles des siècles! Amen! (aiōn g165)
19 Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the house of Onesiphorus.

20 Erastus remained in Corinth, but Trophimus I left behind in Miletus sick.
Éraste est resté à Corinthe; quant à Trophime, je l'ai laissé malade à Milet.
21 Use diligence to come before winter. Eubulus salutes thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and the brethren all.
Tâche de venir avant l'hiver. Eubule te salue, ainsi que Prudens, Linus, Claudia et tous les frères.
22 The Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Grace [be] with you.
