2 Samuel 9

1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

Y David dijo: ¿Todavía vive alguien de la familia de Saúl, para que yo pueda mostrar lealtad, a causa de Jonatán?

2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba; and they called him to David. And the king said to him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant!

Y del pueblo de Saúl había un criado llamado Siba, y lo enviaron a David; Y el rey le dijo: ¿Eres tú Siba? Y él dijo: Yo soy.

3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God to him? And Ziba said to the king, Jonathan has yet a son, who is lame on [his] feet.

Y el rey dijo: ¿Hay alguien de la familia de Saúl que aún viva, de quien yo pueda ser un amigo en el nombre de Dios? Y Siba dijo: Hay un hijo de Jonatán, cuyos pies están dañados.

4 And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

Y el rey le dijo: ¿Dónde está? Y Siba dijo al rey: Está en la casa de Maquir, hijo de Amiel, en Lo-debar.

5 And king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

Entonces el rey David envió y lo tomó de Lodebar, de la casa de Maquir, hijo de Amiel.

6 And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, and fell on his face and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he said, Behold thy servant!

Entonces Mefiboset, hijo de Jonatán, y nieto de Saúl, se acercó a David y, al caer sobre su rostro, le dio honor. Y David respondió: Mefiboset, Y respondiendo él, dijo: Tu siervo está aquí.

7 And David said to him, Fear not; for I will certainly shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

Y le dijo David: No temas: porque de verdad seré bueno contigo, por tu padre Jonatán, y te devolveré toda la tierra que era de Saúl; y tendrás un lugar en mi mesa en todo momento.

8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

Y se postró sobre su rostro delante del rey y dijo: ¿Que es tu siervo, para que tomes nota de un perro muerto como yo?

9 Then the king called Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, I have given to thy master's son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house.

Entonces el rey mandó llamar a Siba, el siervo de Saúl, y le dijo: Todos los bienes de Saúl y de su familia se los he dado al hijo de tu amo.

10 And thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in [the fruits], that thy master's son may have food to eat. And Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread at my table continually. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

Y tú, tus hijos y tus siervos cuidarán la tierra por él y se encargarán de ella, para que el hijo de tu amo pueda comer, pero Mefiboset, el hijo de tu amo, tendrá un lugar en mi mesa en todo momento. Y Siba tenía quince hijos y veinte siervos.

11 And Ziba said to the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth [said David] shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

Entonces Ziba dijo al rey: Se hará cada orden que hayas dado a tu siervo. En cuanto a Mefiboset, tenía un lugar en la mesa de David, como uno de los hijos del rey.

12 And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.

Y Mefiboset tuvo un hijo pequeño llamado Micaía. Y todas las personas que vivían en la casa de Siba eran siervos de Mefiboset.

13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he did eat continually at the king's table. And he was lame on both his feet.

Entonces Mefiboset siguió viviendo en Jerusalén; porque tomó todas sus comidas en la mesa del rey; y no tuvo uso de sus pies.
