< 2 Peter 1 >
1 Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through [the] righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:
Nye, Simɔn Petro, Yesu Kristo ƒe dɔla kple apostolo gbɔe agbalẽ sia tso, Na ame siwo, to míaƒe Mawu kple Yesu Kristo ƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye me la hã xɔ xɔse si xɔ asi abe mía tɔ ene la:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in [the] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Amenuveve kple ŋutifafa nanye mia tɔ le agbɔsɔsɔ blibo me, to sidzedze Mawu kple Yesu míaƒe Aƒetɔ la me.
3 As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue,
Mawu ƒe ŋusẽ tsɔ nu sia nu si míehiãna na agbe kple mawusosroɖa, to míaƒe sidzedze eya amea me, ame si yɔ mí to eya ŋutɔ ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe kple dɔmenyonyo me.
4 through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
To esiawo me wòtsɔ eƒe nunana gã kple ŋugbedodo xɔasi na mí, ale be to wo dzi míakpɔ gome le eƒe mawunyenye me, eye míasi le gbegblẽ si ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzro vɔ̃wo he va xexea me la nu.
5 But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge,
Le susu sia ta miɖe afɔ ɖe sia ɖe be miatsɔ nyuiwɔwɔ akpe ɖe miaƒe xɔse ŋu, sidzedze nakpe ɖe dɔmenyonyo ŋu,
6 in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness,
ɖokuidziɖuɖu nakpe ɖe sidzedze ŋu, vevidodo nu nakpe ɖe ɖokuidziɖuɖu ŋu, mawumegbenɔnɔ nakpe ɖe vevidodo nu ŋu;
7 in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love:
dɔmenyowɔwɔ na havi nakpe ɖe mawumegbenɔnɔ ŋu, eye lɔlɔ̃ hã nakpe ɖe dɔmenyowɔwɔ ŋu.
8 for these things existing and abounding in you make [you] to be neither idle nor unfruitful as regards the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ;
9 for he with whom these things are not present is blind, short-sighted, and has forgotten the purging of his former sins.
Ke ne nɔnɔme mawo mele ame aɖe me o la, enye ame si mekpɔa nu dea adzɔge o, eye eƒe ŋkuwo gbã, eye wòŋlɔ be be woklɔ ye ŋu tso yeƒe tsã nu vɔ̃wo me.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, use diligence to make your calling and election sure, for doing these things ye will never fall;
Eya ta nɔvinyewo, midze agbagba ɖe edzi wu tsã be miakpɔ kpeɖodzi na miaƒe yɔyɔ kple tiatia. Elabena ne miewɔ esiawo la, miada ƒu akpɔ o,
11 for thus shall the entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be richly furnished unto you. (aiōnios )
eye miaxɔ dzadoname tɔxɛ le míaƒe Aƒetɔ kple Ɖela, Yesu Kristo ƒe fiaɖuƒe mavɔ la me. (aiōnios )
12 Wherefore I will be careful to put you always in mind of these things, although knowing [them] and established in the present truth.
Togbɔ be mienya nu siawo, eye mieli ke ɖe nyateƒe si su mia si fifia la me hã la, manɔ ŋku ɖom wo dzi na mi ɣe sia ɣi.
13 But I account it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance,
Mesusu be zi ale si mele ŋutilã ƒe agbadɔ sia me la, enyo be manɔ ŋku ɖom nu dzi na mi,
14 knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me;
elabena menya be esusɔ vie maɖe agbadɔ sia ɖi abe ale si míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo gblɔe nam kɔtɛe la ene.
15 but I will use diligence, that after my departure ye should have also, at any time, [in your power] to call to mind these things.
Makpɔ egbɔ be meɖe afɔ ɖe sia ɖe si mate ŋui, be ne meva dzo la, miaɖo ŋku nu siawo dzi ɣe sia ɣi.
16 For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cleverly imagined fables, but having been eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Menye gli siwo wokpa kple nunya la yome míedze esi míeƒo nu na mi tso míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe ŋusẽ kple eƒe vava ŋuti o, ke boŋ míenye eƒe gãnyenye ƒe atsyɔ̃ si míekpɔ kple ŋku la ƒe ɖasefowo.
17 For he received from God [the] Father honour and glory, such a voice being uttered to him by the excellent glory: This is my beloved Son, in whom I have found my delight;
Elabena exɔ bubu kple ŋutikɔkɔe tso Mawu, Fofo la gbɔ esi gbe aɖe ɖi tso eƒe Gãnyenye ƒe Ŋutikɔkɔe me gblɔ be, “Ame siae nye Vinye si gbɔ nyemelɔ̃a nu le o, esi ŋu mekpɔa ŋudzedze le.”
18 and this voice we heard uttered from heaven, being with him on the holy mountain.
Míawo ŋutɔ míese gbe sia esi wòɖi tso dziƒo, esi míeli kplii le to kɔkɔe la dzi.
19 And we have the prophetic word [made] surer, to which ye do well taking heed (as to a lamp shining in an obscure place) until [the] day dawn and [the] morning star arise in your hearts;
Ale míegakpɔ kpeɖodzi na Mawu ƒe nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe nyawo, eya ta anye nu dzeame ne mieɖo to wo, elabena ele abe ale si kekeli klẽna ɖe viviti me ene va se ɖe esime ŋkekea nava, eye ŋukeɣletivi la naklẽ ɖe miaƒe dziwo me.
20 knowing this first, that [the scope of] no prophecy of scripture is had from its own particular interpretation,
Gawu la, ele be miase egɔme be nyagblɔɖi aɖeke mele mawunya me si va eme to Mawu ƒe gbeƒãɖela la ŋutɔ ƒe nyameɖeɖe me o.
21 for prophecy was not ever uttered by [the] will of man, but holy men of God spake under the power of [the] Holy Spirit.
Elabena nyagblɔɖi ƒe dzɔtsoƒe metso amegbetɔ ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu me kpɔ o, ke boŋ ame xɔa gbe tso Mawu gbɔ abe ale si Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔe ene.
