2 Kings 9
1 And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, Gird up thy loins, and take this vial of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-Gilead.
౧ఆ తరువాత ప్రవక్త అయిన ఎలీషా ప్రవక్తల సమాజం నుండి ఒక వ్యక్తిని పిలిచాడు. అతనితో “ప్రయాణానికి బట్టలు ధరించు. ఈ చిన్న నూనె సీసా పట్టుకుని రామోత్ గిలాదుకు వెళ్ళు.
2 And when thou art come thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him rise up from among his brethren, and bring him to an inner chamber;
౨అక్కడకు చేరుకున్న తరువాత నింషీ మనవడూ, యెహోషాపాతు కొడుకూ అయిన యెహూ కోసం వాకబు చెయ్యి. అతణ్ణి కలుసుకో. అతణ్ణి తన సహచరులనుండి వేరు చేసి లోపలి గదిలో ఏకాంతమైన చోటికి తీసుకు వెళ్ళు.
3 then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head and say, Thus saith Jehovah: I have anointed thee king over Israel; and open the door, and flee, and tarry not.
౩నూనె సీసా తీసి అతని తలపై నూనె పోసి ‘ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుగా నేను నిన్ను అభిషేకం చేసానని యెహోవా చెప్తున్నాడు’ అని అతనితో చెప్పు. తరువాత తలుపు తీసి ఆలస్యం చేయకుండా అక్కడ్నించి పారిపో” అని చెప్పాడు.
4 And the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth-Gilead.
౪కాబట్టి ప్రవక్త అయిన ఆ యువకుడు రామోత్గిలాదుకి ప్రయాణమయ్యాడు. అతడు చేరుకునేసరికి అక్కడ సేనా నాయకులు కూర్చుని ఉన్నారు.
5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting. And he said, I have an errand to thee, captain. And Jehu said, To which of all of us? And he said, To thee, captain.
౫అప్పుడు ఆ యువకుడు “నాయకా, నేను నీతో ఒక మాట చెప్పాలని వచ్చాను” అన్నాడు. దానికి యెహూ “ఇంతమందిమి ఉన్నాం. ఆ మాట ఎవరిని గూర్చి?” అన్నాడు. యువకుడైన ఆ ప్రవక్త “నాయకా, ఆ మాట నీ కోసమే” అన్నాడు.
6 And he rose up and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel: I have anointed thee king over the people of Jehovah, over Israel.
౬కాబట్టి యెహూ లేచి ఇంట్లోకి వెళ్ళాడు. అక్కడ ప్రవక్త అతని తలపై నూనె పోశాడు. యెహూతో “ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. ఇశ్రాయేలు పైనా దేవుని ప్రజల పైనా నిన్ను రాజుగా అభిషేకించాను.
7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master; and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Jehovah at the hand of Jezebel.
౭నా సేవకులైన ప్రవక్తలనూ, యెహోవా ఇతర సేవకులనూ యెజెబెలు చంపించింది. వారు కార్చిన రక్తానికి నేను ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకునేలా నీవు నీ రాజు అయిన అహాబు కుటుంబాన్ని అంతం చేయాలి.
8 And the whole house of Ahab shall perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male, and him that is shut up and left in Israel.
౮అహాబు సంతానం అందరూ నశిస్తారు. వాడు దాసుడైనా స్వతంత్రుడైనా అహాబు సంతానంలో ప్రతి మగవాడినీ నేను సమూలనాశనం చేస్తాను.
9 And I will make the house of Ahab as the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and as the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.
౯నెబాతు కొడుకు యరొబాము కుటుంబంలా, అహీయా కొడుకు బయెషా కుటుంబంలా అహాబు కుటుంబాన్ని చేస్తాను.
10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the plot of Jizreel, and none shall bury her. And he opened the door and fled.
౧౦యెజ్రెయేలులో యెజెబెలును కుక్కలు పీక్కు తింటాయి. ఆమెను పాతిపెట్టడానికి ఎవరూ ఉండరు.” ఈ మాటలు చెప్పి ఆ ప్రవక్త తలుపు తీసుకుని పారిపోయాడు.
11 And Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord. And one said to him, Is all well? why came this madman to thee? And he said to them, Ye know the man, and his mind.
౧౧అప్పుడు యెహూ బయటకు తన తోటి రాజ సేవకుల దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు. వారిలో ఒకడు “అంతా కుశలమేనా? ఆ వెర్రివాడు నీ దగ్గరికి ఎందుకు వచ్చాడు?” అని అడిగాడు. దానికి యెహూ “వాడూ, వాడి మాటలూ మీకు తెలుసు కదా” అన్నాడు.
12 And they said, It is false! tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spoke he to me saying, Thus saith Jehovah: I have anointed thee king over Israel.
౧౨అప్పుడు వారు “మాకు తెలియదు. చెప్పు” అన్నారు. అప్పుడు యెహూ “అతడు నాతో అదీ ఇదీ మాట్లాడాడు. ఆ తరువాత అతనింకా ‘యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు, నేను నిన్ను ఇశ్రాయేలు మీద రాజుగా అభిషేకం చేశాను’ అన్నాడు” అని చెప్పాడు.
13 Then they hasted and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the very stairs, and blew with trumpets, and said, Jehu is king!
౧౩వెంటనే వారు తమ బట్టలు తీసి యెహూ దిగుతున్న మెట్ల మీద పరిచారు. భేరీలు ఊది “యెహూ రాజయ్యాడు” అని ప్రకటించారు.
14 And Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. (Now Joram kept Ramoth-Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;
౧౪నింషీ కొడుకు యెహూ ఈ విధంగా యెహోషాపాతు కొడుకు యెహోరాముపై కుట్ర చేశాడు. ఆ సమయంలో యెహోరామూ, ఇశ్రాయేలు వాళ్ళంతా రామోత్గిలాదును సిరియా రాజు హజాయేలు నుండి రక్షించడానికి అక్కడే ఉన్నాడు.
15 and king Joram had returned to be healed in Jizreel of the wounds that the Syrians had given him, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your will, let not a fugitive escape out of the city to go to tell [it] in Jizreel.
౧౫కానీ యెహోరాము సిరియా రాజు హజాయేలుతో చేస్తున్న యుద్ధంలో సిరియా సైన్యం చేసిన గాయాలను బాగు చేసుకోడానికి యెజ్రెయేలుకి తిరిగి వచ్చాడు. అప్పుడు యెహూ రాజు సేవకులతో “ఇదే మీ అభిప్రాయమైతే యెజ్రెయేలుకి ఈ వార్త వెళ్ళడానికి వీలు లేదు. ఈ పట్టణం విడిచి ఎవరూ తప్పించుకుని వెళ్ళకుండా చూడండి” అని చెప్పాడు.
16 And Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jizreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
౧౬అక్కడనుండి యెహూ రథంపై యెజ్రెయేలుకి వెళ్ళాడు. ఎందుకంటే అక్కడే యెహోరాము విశ్రాంతి తీసుకుంటున్నాడు. అదే సమయంలో యూదా రాజు అహజ్యా యెహోరామును కలుసుకోడానికి అక్కడికి వచ్చాడు.
17 And the watchman stood on the tower in Jizreel, and saw Jehu's company as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?
౧౭యెజ్రెయేలు ప్రాకారం మీద ఒక కాపలా వాడు కావలి కాస్తున్నాడు. వాడు ప్రాకారం పైనుండి కొంత దూరంలో వస్తున్న యెహూనూ అతనితో వస్తున్న సైనిక దళాన్నీ చూసి “ఒక సైనిక దళం రావడం నాకు కనిపిస్తుంది” అన్నాడు. అప్పుడు యెహోరాము “ఒక గుర్రపు రౌతును పిలవండి. ఆ వచ్చేవాళ్ళను కలుసుకోడానికి అతణ్ణి పంపించండి. అతడు వాళ్ళను ‘శాంతిభావంతో వస్తున్నారా’ అని అడగాలి” అని చెప్పాడు.
18 So there went one on horseback to meet him; and he said, Thus saith the king: Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told saying, The messenger came to them, and he does not return.
౧౮కాబట్టి ఒకడు గుర్రాన్నెక్కి వాళ్ళను కలుసుకోడానికి వెళ్ళి “మీరు శాంతిభావంతో వస్తున్నారా అని రాజు అడుగుతున్నాడు” అన్నాడు. దానికి యెహూ “శాంతిభావం సంగతి నీకెందుకు? వెనక్కు తిరిగి నా వెనకాలే రా” అన్నాడు. కాపలా వారు “వార్తాహరుడు వాళ్ళను కలుసుకున్నాడు గానీ తిరిగి రావడం లేదు” అని రాజుకు తెలియజేశారు.
19 And he sent out a second on horseback; and he came to them and said, Thus saith the king: Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
౧౯అప్పుడు రాజు రెండో అశ్వికుణ్ణి పంపాడు. వాడు వాళ్ళ దగ్గరికి వచ్చి “మీరు శాంతిభావంతో వస్తున్నారా, అని రాజు అడుగుతున్నాడు” అన్నాడు. దానికి యెహూ “శాంతిభావం సంగతి నీకెందుకు? వెనక్కు తిరిగి నా వెనకాలే రా” అన్నాడు.
20 And the watchman told saying, He came to them, and does not return. And the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.
౨౦మళ్ళీ కావలి వాడు “వీడు కూడా వాళ్ళను కలుసుకుని తిరిగి రావడం లేదు. రథం నడపడం చూస్తే అది నింషీ కొడుకు యెహూ తోలడంలా ఉంది. వెర్రెత్తినట్టు రథం తోలుతున్నాడు” అన్నాడు.
21 Then Joram said, Make ready! And they made ready his chariot. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and met him in the plot of Naboth the Jizreelite.
౨౧కాబట్టి యెహోరాము “నా రథాన్ని సిద్ధం చేయండి” అన్నాడు. అతని రథాన్ని సిద్ధం చేశారు. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజు యెహోరామూ, యూదా రాజు అహజ్యా తమ రథాలపై బయల్దేరి యెహూను కలుసుకోడానికి వెళ్ళారు. యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతుకు చెందిన భూమి దగ్గర అతణ్ణి ఎదుర్కున్నారు.
22 And it came to pass when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he said, What peace, so long as the fornications of thy mother Jezebel and her sorceries are so many?
౨౨అప్పుడు యెహోరాము యెహూతో “యెహూ, శాంతి భావంతో ఉన్నావా?” అని అడిగాడు. దానికి యెహూ “నీ తల్లి యెజెబెలు వ్యభిచారం, మంత్రవిద్యలు ఇంత మితిమీరిపోయి ఉండగా ఇక శాంతి భావం ఎక్కడది?” అన్నాడు.
23 Then Joram turned his hand, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, Treachery, Ahaziah!
౨౩వెంటనే యెహోరాము రథాన్ని మళ్ళించి “అహజ్యా, మోసం, విశ్వాస ఘాతుకం” అని అహజ్యాతో చెప్పి పారిపోయాడు.
24 And Jehu took his bow in his hand, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out through his heart; and he sank down in his chariot.
౨౪అప్పుడు యెహూ బాణం తీసి తన శక్తి కొద్దీ ఎక్కుపెట్టి యెహోరాము భుజాల మధ్య గురి చూసి కొట్టాడు. ఆ బాణం అతని గుండెల్లోకి దూసుకు వెళ్ళింది. అతడు తన రథంలోనే కుప్పగూలిపోయాడు.
25 And he said to Bidkar his captain, Take him up [and] cast him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jizreelite. For remember how, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, that Jehovah laid this burden upon him:
౨౫అప్పుడు యెహూ తన దగ్గర అధికారి బిద్కరుని పిలిచి “అతణ్ణి ఎత్తి యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతు పొలంలో పడవేయి. నీకు గుర్తుందా? మనం ఇద్దరం ఇతని తండ్రి అహాబుతో కలసి గుర్రాలెక్కి వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా అతనికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఈ ప్రవచనాన్ని పలికించాడు
26 Certainly I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith Jehovah; and I will requite thee in this plot, saith Jehovah. And now, take [and] cast him into the plot, according to the word of Jehovah.
౨౬‘యెహోవా చెప్తున్నదేమిటంటే నిన్న నేను నాబోతు రక్తాన్నీ, అతని కొడుకుల రక్తాన్నీ కచ్చితంగా చూశాను. యెహోవాను చెప్తున్నాను. ఇదే నేలపై నేను నీకు ప్రతీకారం చేస్తాను’ కాబట్టి ఇప్పుడు నువ్వు యెహోవా మాట ప్రకారం ఇతణ్ణి ఈ పొలంలో పడవేయి” అన్నాడు.
27 When Ahaziah king of Judah saw [that], he fled by the way of the garden-house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in his chariot. It was on the ascent of Gur, which is by Jibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
౨౭జరిగిందంతా చూసిన యూదా రాజు అహజ్యా బేత్ హగ్గాన్ పట్టణం దారిలో తన రథం పై పారిపోయాడు. కానీ యెహూ అతణ్ణి తరిమాడు. “ఆ రథంలోనే అతణ్ణి చంపండి” అంటూ తన సేనానులకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చాడు. కాబట్టి వారు ఇబ్లెయాముకు సమీపంలో ఉన్న గూరుకు వెళ్ళే దారిలో అతనిపై బాణాలు వేసి కొట్టారు. అహజ్యా తన రథంలోనే మెగిద్దోకు వెళ్ళి అక్కడ చనిపోయాడు.
28 And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.
౨౮అతని సేవకులు అతణ్ణి రథం మీద యెరూషలేముకు తీసుకు వెళ్ళారు. దావీదు నగరంలో అతని పూర్వీకుల దగ్గర అతణ్ణి సమాధి చేశారు.
29 (And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab had Ahaziah begun to reign over Judah.)
౨౯ఈ అహజ్యా అహాబు కొడుకు యెహోరాము పరిపాలన పదకొండో సంవత్సరంలో యూదాకు రాజు అయ్యాడు.
30 And Jehu came to Jizreel; and Jezebel heard of it, and she put paint to her eyes, and decked her head, and looked out at the window.
౩౦యెహూ యెజ్రెయేలులో అడుగుపెట్టిన విషయం యెజెబెలుకు తెలిసింది. కాబట్టి ఆమె తన కళ్ళ చుట్టూ రంగులు వేసుకుని కేశాలంకరణ చేసుకుని మేడపైని కిటికీలోనుండి బయటకు తొంగి చూసింది.
31 And when Jehu came in at the gate, she said, Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of his master?
౩౧యెహూ గుమ్మం గుండా లోపలికి వస్తుండగా “జిమ్రీ వలే యజమానిని చంపినవాడా, శాంతి భావంతో వస్తున్నావా?” అని అడిగింది.
32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And two or three chamberlains looked out to him.
౩౨అతడు తలెత్తి కిటికీ వైపు చూశాడు. “అక్కడ నా వైపు ఉన్నదెవరు?” అని అడిగాడు. ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు నపుంసకులు కిటికీలోనుండి తొంగి చూసారు.
33 And he said, Throw her down! And they threw her down; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses; and he trampled on her.
౩౩యెహూ “ఆమెను కిందకు తోసెయ్యండి” అన్నాడు. వారు యెజెబెలుని కిందకు తోసేశారు. దాంతో ఆమె రక్తం గోడలమీదా, గుర్రాలమీదా చిమ్మింది. అప్పుడు యెహూ ఆమెను గుర్రాలతో తొక్కించాడు.
34 And he came in, and ate and drank; and he said, Go, look, I pray you, after this cursed [woman], and bury her; for she is a king's daughter.
౩౪తరువాత అతడు భవనంలో ప్రవేశించి భోజనం చేసిన తరువాత “శాపానికి గురైన ఆమె ఒక రాజ కుమార్తె. కాబట్టి వెళ్ళి ఆమెని సమాధి చేయండి” అని ఆదేశించాడు.
35 And they went to bury her; but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
౩౫సేవకులు ఆమెని సమాధి చేయడానికి వెళ్ళారు. కానీ వాళ్ళకి ఆమె పుర్రె, కాళ్ళు, అరచేతులూ తప్ప ఇంకేమీ కనపడలేదు.
36 And they came back and told him. And he said, This is the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite saying, In the plot of Jizreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel;
౩౬వారు వచ్చి యెహూకి ఆ సంగతి చెప్పారు. అప్పుడు అతడు “ఇది యెహోవా తన సేవకుడూ, తిష్బీ వాడూ అయిన ఏలీయా ద్వారా పలికిన మాట, ‘యెజ్రెయేలు నేలపై కుక్కలు యెజెబెలు మాంసాన్ని తిని వేస్తాయి.
37 and the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the open field in the plot of Jizreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
౩౭ఎవరూ గుర్తు పట్టలేకుండా ఆమె శరీరం యెజ్రెయేలు పొలాల్లో పేడలా ఉంటుంది’ ఆ మాట ప్రకారం ఇది జరిగింది” అన్నాడు.
