2 Kings 24
1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim was his servant three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.
Pa nthawi ya ulamuliro wa Yehoyakimu, Nebukadinezara mfumu ya Babuloni anadzathira nkhondo dzikolo ndipo Yehoyakimu anakhala pansi pa ulamuliro wake zaka zitatu. Koma kenaka anasintha maganizo ake nawukira Nebukadinezara.
2 And Jehovah sent against him the bands of the Chaldeans, and the bands of the Syrians, and the bands of the Moabites, and the bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servants the prophets.
Yehova anatumiza magulu a Ababuloni, Aaramu, Amowabu ndi Aamoni, kudzathira nkhondo Yuda. Iye anawatumiza kudzawononga Yuda molingana ndi mawu amene Yehova ananeneratu kudzera mwa aneneri ake.
3 Verily, at the commandment of Jehovah it came to pass against Judah, that they should be removed out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done;
Ndithu, izi zinachitikira Yuda monga momwe Yehova analamulira nʼcholinga choti awachotse pamaso pake chifukwa cha machimo a Manase ndi zonse zimene anachita,
4 and also [because of] the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Jehovah would not pardon.
kuphatikizapo kukhetsa magazi a anthu osalakwa. Chifukwa iye anadzaza Yerusalemu ndi magazi a anthu osalakwa ndipo Yehova sanafune kumukhululukira.
5 And the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
Ntchito zina za Yehoyakimu ndi zonse zimene anachita, kodi sizinalembedwe mʼbuku la mbiri ya mafumu a Yuda?
6 And Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
Yehoyakimu anamwalira ndipo anayikidwa mʼmanda pamodzi ndi makolo ake. Ndipo Yehoyakini mwana wake analowa ufumu mʼmalo mwake.
7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land, for the king of Babylon had taken all that belonged to the king of Egypt, from the torrent of Egypt to the river Euphrates.
Mfumu ya Igupto sinatulukenso mʼdziko lake chifukwa mfumu ya Babuloni inalanda mayiko onse kuchokera ku Mtsinje wa ku Igupto mpaka ku Mtsinje wa Yufurate.
8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
Yehoyakini anakhala mfumu ali ndi zaka 18 ndipo analamulira mu Yerusalemu miyezi itatu. Amayi ake anali Nehusita mwana wa Elinatani wa ku Yerusalemu.
9 And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father had done.
Iye anachita zoyipa pamaso pa Yehova monga anachitira abambo ake.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
Nthawi imeneyo ankhondo a Nebukadinezara mfumu ya Babuloni anabwera ku Yerusalemu nazinga mzindawo ndi misasa ya nkhondo
11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, while his servants were besieging it.
ndipo Nebukadinezara anafika ku mzindawo pamene ankhondo ake anawuzinga.
12 And Jehoiachin king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his chamberlains; and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
Yehoyakini mfumu ya Yuda pamodzi ndi amayi ake, atumiki ake, anthu ake olemekezeka ndiponso akuluakulu onse anadzipereka kwa mfumu ya ku Babuloni. Mfumu ya Babuloni inagwira Yoyakini ukapolo mʼchaka chachisanu ndi chitatu cha ufumu wake.
13 And he brought out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.
Monga ananenera Yehova, Nebukadinezara anachotsa chuma chonse cha mʼNyumba ya Yehova ndiponso cha mʼnyumba ya mfumu ndipo anatenga ziwiya zonse zagolide za ku Nyumba ya Yehova zimene Solomoni mfumu ya Israeli anapanga.
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained but the poorest sort of the people of the land.
Anatenga anthu onse a mu Yerusalemu kupita nawo ku ukapolo. Akuluakulu onse pamodzi ndi anthu ankhondo, anthu onse aluso ndi amisiri osula onse pamodzi analipo 10,000. Osauka okha ndiye anatsala mʼdzikomo.
15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his chamberlains, and the mighty of the land, he led into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon;
Nebukadinezara anatenga Yehoyakini ngati kapolo kupita naye ku Babuloni. Mu Yerusalemu anatenganso amayi a mfumu, akazi ake, akuluakulu ake ndiponso anthu olemekezeka mʼdzikomo.
16 and all the men of valour, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all strong men apt for war, and the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.
Mfumu ya Babuloni inatumizanso ku Babuloni anthu ankhondo 70,000, anthu amphamvu ndi okonzeka kupita ku nkhondo, anthu aluso ndi amisiri osula 1,000.
17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his uncle king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
Iye analonga ufumu Mataniya, malume wa Yoyakini mʼmalo mwake ndipo anasintha dzina lake kuti akhale Zedekiya.
18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
Zedekiya anakhala mfumu ali ndi zaka 21 ndipo analamulira mu Yerusalemu zaka 11. Amayi ake anali Hamutali mwana wa Yeremiya wa ku Libina.
19 And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
Iye anachita zoyipa pamaso pa Yehova monga anachitira Yehoyakimu.
20 For, because the anger of Jehovah was against Jerusalem and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
Zonsezi zinachitikira Yerusalemu ndi Yuda chifukwa cha mkwiyo wa Mulungu ndipo pa mapeto pake anawachotsa pamaso pake. Ndipo Zedekiya anawukira mfumu ya Babuloni.
