2 Kings 13
1 In the three-and-twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, for seventeen years.
यहूदाका राजा अहज्याहका छोरा योआशको तेइसौँ वर्षमा येहूका छोरा यहोआहाजले सामरियामा बसेर इस्राएलमाथि राज्य गर्न थाले । तिनले सत्र वर्ष राज्य गरे
2 And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin; he departed not from them.
परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे खराब थियो, तिनले त्यही गरे, र इस्राएललाई पाप गर्न लगाउने नबातका छोरा यारोबामका पापको चामा हिंडे । अनि यहोआहाज तीबाट फर्केनन् ।
3 And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-Hadad the son of Hazael, all those days.
इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा परमप्रभुको क्रोध दन्कियो, अनि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई अरामका राजा हजाएल र हजाएलका छोरा बेन-हददको हातमा निरन्तर रूपले दिनुभयो ।
4 (And Jehoahaz besought Jehovah, and Jehovah hearkened to him; for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.
त्यसैले यहोआहाजले परमप्रभुलाई बिन्ती गरे, र परमप्रभुले तिनको कुरा सुन्नुभयो किनकि अरामका राजाले कसरी इस्राएलमाथि थिचोमिचो गरिरहेका थिए भनी उहाँले देख्नुभयो ।
5 And Jehovah gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as before.
त्यसैले परमप्रभुले इस्राएललाई एउटा उद्धारक दिनुभयो, अनि तिनीहरू अरामीहरूका हातबाट उम्के, र इस्राएलीहरू पहिलेजस्तै आ-आफ्ना घरमा बस्न लागे ।
6 Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin: they walked therein; and there remained also the Asherah in Samaria.)
तापनि इस्राएललाई पाप गर्न लगाउने यारोबामका घरानाका पापहरूबाट तिनीहरू फर्केनन्, र तिनीहरू तिनमा लागिरहे । अनि अशेरा देवीको खम्बा सामरियामा रहिरह्यो ।
7 For he had left of the people to Jehoahaz but fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and had made them like the dust by threshing.
अरामीहरूले यहोआहाजलाई केवल पचास घोडचढी, दसवटा रथ र दस हजार पैदल सिपाही मात्र छाडे किनकि अरामका राजाले तिनीहरूलाई नाश पारेका थिए र तिनीहरूलाई अन्न चुट्ने समयको भुसजस्तै पारेका थिए ।
8 And the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
यहोआहाज, तिनले गरेका सबै काम र तिनको शक्तिको बारेमा इस्राएलका राजाहरूको इतिहासको पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छैनन् र?
9 And Jehoahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria; and Joash his son reigned in his stead.
यसरी यहोआहाज आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूसित सुते, र तिनीहरूले तिनलाई सामरियामा गाडे । तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका छोरा यहोआश राजा भए ।
10 In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah began Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz to reign over Israel in Samaria, for sixteen years.
यहूदाका राजा योआशको सैँतिसौँ वर्षमा यहोआहाजका छोरा यहोआशले सामरियामा बसेर इस्राएलमाथि राज्य गर्न थाले । तिनले सोह्र वर्ष राज्य गरे ।
11 And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah; he departed not from any of the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin: he walked therein.
परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे खराब थियो, तिनले त्यही गरे । तिनले इस्राएललाई पाप गर्न लगाउने नबातका छोरा यारोबामको कुनै पनि पापलाई छाडेनन्, तर तिनी तिनैमा हिंडे ।
12 And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
यहोआश, तिनले गरेका सबै कामहरू र कसरी तिनको शक्ति जसद्वारा तिनले यहूदाका राजा अमस्याहको विरुद्धमा लडे भन्ने बारेमा इस्राएलका राजाहरूको इतिहासको पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छैनन् र?
13 And Joash slept with his fathers, and Jeroboam sat upon his throne; and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
यहोआश आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूसित सुते, र यारोबाम तिनको सिंहासनमा बसे । इस्राएलका राजाहरूसँगै यहोआशलाई सामरियामा गाडियो ।
14 And Elisha fell sick of his sickness in which he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, My father, my father! the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof!
अब एलीशा एउटा रोगले बिरामी परे जसबाट पछि तिनी मरे । त्यसैले इस्राएलका राजा यहोआश तिनीकहाँ आए र तिनीसँग रोए । तिनले भने, “हे मेरा पिता, हे मेरा पिता, इस्राएलका रथहरू र घोडचढीले तिमीलाई उठाएर लाँदैछन् ।”
15 And Elisha said to him, Take bow and arrows. And he took a bow and arrows.
एलीशाले तिनलाई भने, “एउटा धनु र केही काँडहरू उठाउनुहोस् ।” त्यसैले योआशले एउटा धनु र केही काँडहरू उठाए ।
16 And he said to the king of Israel, Put thy hand upon the bow. And he put his hand [upon it]; and Elisha put his hands upon the king's hands,
एलीशाले इस्राएलका राजालाई भने, “आफ्नो हात धनुमा राख्नुहोस् ।” त्यसैले तिनले आफ्नो हातमा धनुमा राखे । तब एलीशाले आफ्ना हात राजाका हातमाथि राखे ।
17 and said, Open the window eastward. And he opened [it]. And Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, An arrow of Jehovah's deliverance, even an arrow of deliverance from the Syrians; and thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou hast consumed [them].
एलीशाले भने, “पूर्वपट्टिको झ्याल खोल्नुहोस् ।” त्यसैले तिनले त्यसलाई खोले । तब एलीशाले भने, “हान्नुहोस्!” तिनले हाने । एलीशाले भने, “यो परमप्रभुको विजयको काँड हो अर्थात् अराममाथि विजयको काँड हो, किनकि अरामीहरूलाई सर्वनाश नपारूञ्जेलसम्म तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई अपेकमा आक्रमण गर्नुहुनेछ ।”
18 And he said, Take the arrows. And he took [them]. And he said to the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.
तब एलीशाले भने, “काँडहरू लिनुहोस् ।” त्यसैले तिनले ती लिए । तिनले इस्राएलका राजालाई भने, “तिनले भुइँमा हान्नुहोस् ।” तिनले तिन पटक भुइँमा हानेपछि तिनी रोकिए ।
19 And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then wouldest thou have smitten the Syrians till thou hadst consumed [them]; whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.
तर परमेश्वरका मानिस तिनीसित रिसाए र भने, “तपाईंले पाँच वा छ पटक भुइँलाई हिर्काउनुपर्थ्यो । तब तपाईंले अरामलाई निमिट्ट्यान्न नभएसम्म आक्रमण गर्नुहुनेथियो, तर अब त तपाईंले अरामलाई तिन पटक मात्र आक्रमण गर्नुहुनेछ ।”
20 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
तब एलीशा मरे, र तिनीहरूले तिनलाई गाडे । नयाँ वर्षको समयमा मोआबीहरूका नयाँ दलहरूले देशलाई लुटे ।
21 And it came to pass as they were burying a man, that behold, they saw the band, and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha; and the man went [down], and touched the bones of Elisha, and he revived, and stood upon his feet.
तिनीहरूले कुनै एउटा मानिसलाई गाडिरहँदा तिनीहरूले मोआबीहरूको एउटा दललाई देखे, त्यसैले तिनीहरूले लाशलाई एलीशाको चिहानमा फाले । लाशले एलीशाका हड्डीहरूलाई छुनेबित्तिकै त्यो बिउँतियो, र आफ्नो पाउमा खडा भयो ।
22 And Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
अरामका राजा हजाएलले यहोआहाजको जीवनभर इस्राएललाई थिचोमिचो गरिरहे ।
23 And Jehovah was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and had respect to them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and he would not destroy them, neither did he cast them from his presence up to that time.
तर अब्राहाम, इसहाक र याकूबसित बाँध्नुभएको आफ्नो करारको कारणले गर्दा परमप्रभु इस्राएलप्रति अनुग्रही हुनुभयो, र तिनीहरूलाई दया देखाउनुभयो र तिनीहरूको फिक्री गर्नुभयो । त्यसैले परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई नष्ट गर्नुभएन, र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई अझै पनि आफ्नो उपस्थितिबाट धपाउनुभएको छैन ।
24 And Hazael king of Syria died, and Ben-Hadad his son reigned in his stead.
अरामका राजा हजाएल मरे, र तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका छोरा बेन-हदद राजा भए ।
25 And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Ben-Hadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father in the war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
यहोआहाजका छोरा यहोआशले तिनका पिता यहोआहाजबाट हजाएलका छोरा बेन-हददले युद्ध गरी लिएका सहरहरू फिर्ता लिए । यहोआशले तिनलाई तिन पटक आक्रमण गरे, र तिनले इस्राएलका ती सहरहरू फिर्ता लिए ।
