2 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by God's will, and the brother Timotheus, to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia.
पावल, परमेश्वरको इच्छा अनुसार येशू ख्रीष्टका प्रेरित, र हाम्रा भाइ तिमोथीबाट, कोरिन्थमा भएका परमेश्वरको मण्डली र अखैया प्रान्तमा रहेका सम्पूर्ण विश्वासीहरूलाई ।
2 Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
हाम्रा पिता परमेश्वर र प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको अनुग्रह र शान्ति तिमीहरूमा रहेको होस् ।
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions, and God of all encouragement;
हाम्रा पिता परमेश्वर येशू ख्रीष्टलाई प्रशंसा भएको होस् । उहाँ दयाका पिता र सबै सान्त्वनाका परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ ।
4 who encourages us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any tribulation whatever, through the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged of God.
परमेश्वरले हाम्रा सारा दुःख कष्टमा हामीलाई सान्त्वना दिनुहुन्छ । त्यसैले, हामी पनि दुःखमा परेकाहरूलाई सान्त्वना दिन सक्छौँ । परमेश्वरले हामीलाई सान्त्वना दिनको निम्ति प्रयोग गर्नुभएको सान्त्वनाद्वारा नै हामी अरूलाई सान्त्वना दिन्छौँ ।
5 Because, even as the sufferings of the Christ abound towards us, so through the Christ does our encouragement also abound.
जसरी हाम्रो निम्ति ख्रीष्टको कष्ट प्रशस्त छ, त्यसरी नै ख्रीष्टद्वारा हाम्रो सान्त्वना प्रशस्त हुन्छ ।
6 But whether we are in tribulation, [it is] for your encouragement and salvation, wrought in the endurance of the same sufferings which we also suffer,
तर यदि हामीले दुःख भोग्यौँ भने यो तिमीहरूका सान्त्वना र उद्धारको निम्ति हो । र यदि हामीले सान्त्वना पायौँ भने यो तिमीहरूको सान्त्वनाको निम्ति हो । तिमीहरू हाम्रो दुःखमा धैर्यसाथ सहभागी हुँदा तिमीहरूको सान्त्वनाले प्रभावकारी रूपले काम गरिरहेको हुन्छ ।
7 (and our hope for you [is] sure; ) or whether we are encouraged, [it is] for your encouragement and salvation: knowing that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also of the encouragement.
तिमीहरूको निम्ति हाम्रो आशा दृढ छ । तिमीहरू दुःखमा सहभागी हुँदा सान्त्वनामा पनि सहभागी हुन्छौ भन्ने हामीलाई थाहा छ ।
8 For we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, as to our tribulation which happened [to us] in Asia, that we were excessively pressed beyond [our] power, so as to despair even of living.
भाइहरू हो, हामीले एसियामा भोगेका दुःखको बारेमा तिमीहरू अजान रहो भन्ने हामी चाहन्नौँ । हामीले सहन नसक्ने किसिमले हामी मिचिएका थियौँ, यति साह्रो कि हामीले बाँच्ने आशा नै मारेका थियौँ ।
9 But we ourselves had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not have our trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead;
वास्तवमा, हामीमाथि मृत्युदण्ड थियो । तर त्यो हामी आफैँमा होइन, मृतकहरूलाई जीवन दिनुहुने परमेश्वरमाथि भरोसा गर्न सकौँ भनेर भएको थियो ।
10 who has delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we confide that he will also yet deliver;
उहाँले हामीलाई त्यस्तो घातक जोखिमबाट बचाउनुभयो र फेरि पनि उहाँले हामीलाई बचाउनुहुनेछ । उहाँले हामीलाई फेरि पनि छुटाउनुहुनेछ भन्ने हामीले उहाँमा आशा राखेका छौँ ।
11 ye also labouring together by supplication for us that the gift towards us, through means of many persons, may be the subject of the thanksgiving of many for us.
उहाँले यसो गर्नुहुनेछ जसरी तिमीहरूले पनि हामीलाई आफ्ना प्रार्थनाद्वारा मदत गर्छौ । त्यसपछि धेरैको प्रार्थनाद्वारा हामीलाई दिइएको अनुग्रही कृपाको लागि धेरैले हाम्रो तर्फबाट धन्यवाद दिनेछन् ।
12 For our boasting is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and sincerity before God, (not in fleshly wisdom but in God's grace, ) we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly towards you.
हाम्रो अन्तस्करणको गवाहीमा हामी गर्व गर्छौं । किनकि यो परमेश्वरबाट आउने शुद्ध प्रेरणा र इमानदारीमा छ जसअनुसार हामी यो संसारमा चलेका छौँ । विशेष गरी, हामीले यो तिमीहरूसँग अझ बढी गरेका छौँ, सांसारिक ज्ञानमा होइन, तर परमेश्वरको अनुग्रहमा ।
13 For we do not write other things to you but what ye well know and recognise; and I hope that ye will recognise to the end,
हामी तिमीहरूले पढ्न र बुझ्न नसक्ने गरी केही पनि लेख्दैनौँ । म आशा गर्छु, कि तिमीहरूले पूर्ण रूपले बुझ्नेछौ ।
14 even as also ye have recognised us in part, that we are your boast, even as ye [are] ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
जसरी अहिले तिमीहरूले हामीलाई केही मात्रमा बुझ्यौ । येशू ख्रीष्टको दिनमा हामी तिमीहरूका निम्ति गर्व गर्ने कारण बन्नेछौँ, जसरी तिमीहरू हाम्रा कारण बन्नेछौ ।
15 And with this confidence I purposed to come to you previously, that ye might have a second favour;
यो कुरामा म निर्धक्क भएको कारण, तिमीहरूले दुईवटा भेटको लाभ उठाउन सक भनेर म तिमीहरूकहाँ अगाडि नै आउन चाहन्थेँ ।
16 and to pass through to Macedonia by you, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be set forward by you to Judaea.
माकेडोनिया जाँदा तिमीहरूकहाँ आएर भेटघाट गर्ने मैले योजना बनाउँदै थिएँ । माकेडोनियाको यात्रापछि म फेरि तिमीहरूलाई भेट्न चाहन्थेँ, र तिमीहरूले मलाई यहूदियाको बाटो हुँदै पठाएको चाहन्थेँ ।
17 Having therefore this purpose, did I then use lightness? Or what I purpose, do I purpose according to flesh, that there should be with me yea yea, and nay nay?
जब मैले यस तरिकाले सोच्दै थिएँ, तब के म हिच्किचाएँ र? के मैले मानवीय मापनअनुसार योजनाहरू बनाएँ कि मैले एकै समयमा “हो” र “होइन” भनेँ र?
18 Now God [is] faithful, that our word to you is not yea and nay.
तर जसरी परमेश्वर विश्वासयोग्य हुनुहुन्छ, हामी एकैसाथ “हो” र “होइन” भन्दैनौँ ।
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, he who has been preached by us among you (by me and Silvanus and Timotheus), did not become yea and nay, but yea is in him.
किनकि परमेश्वरका पुत्र येशू ख्रीष्ट जसलाई सिलास, तिमोथी र मैले तिमीहरूमाझ घोषणा गर्यौँ, जो चाहिँ “हो” र “होइन” हुनुहुन्न । बरु, उहाँ सदा “हो” हुनुहुन्छ ।
20 For whatever promises of God [there are], in him is the yea, and in him the amen, for glory to God by us.
किनकि परमेश्वरका सबै प्रतिज्ञा उहाँमा “हो” नै हुन्छन् । यसैले, उहाँद्वारा नै हामीले परमेश्वरको महिमालाई “आमेन” भनेका छौँ ।
21 Now he that establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, [is] God,
अब परमेश्वर जसले हामीलाई तिमीहरूसँग ख्रीष्टमा दरिला पार्नुहुन्छ, उहाँले हामीलाई नियुक्ति गर्नुभयो ।
22 who also has sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
उहाँले आफ्नो छाप हामीमा लगाउनुभयो र हामीलाई पछि दिने कुराको बैनाको रूपमा हाम्रो हृदयमा पवित्र आत्मा दिनुभयो ।
23 But I call God to witness upon my soul that to spare you I have not yet come to Corinth.
बरु, मैले परमेश्वरलाई मेरो गवाहीको लागि पुकारेँ । त्यसैले, तिमीहरूलाई बचाउन सकूँ भनेर म कोरिन्थमा आइनँ ।
24 Not that we rule over your faith, but are fellow-workmen of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
तिमीहरूको विश्वास कस्तो हुनुपर्छ भनेर हामीले नियन्त्रण गर्ने प्रयास गरेको कारण यसो भएको होइन । बरु, हामी तिमीहरूको आनन्दको निम्ति तिमीहरूसँग काम गरिरहेका छौँ जसरी तिमीहरू आफ्नो विश्वासमा अटल रहन्छौ ।
