< 2 Corinthians 5 >
1 For we know that if our earthly tabernacle house be destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios )
Nʼihi na anyị ma nke ọma na mgbe e mebiri ụlọ ikwu nke anyị bi nʼime ya, bụ ụlọ nke ụwa a, anyị nwere ụlọ nke sitere na Chineke, ụlọ nke ejighị aka wuo, ga-adị ebighị ebi nʼeluigwe. (aiōnios )
2 For indeed in this we groan, ardently desiring to have put on our house which [is] from heaven;
Ugbu a anyị nọ na-asụ ude, na-enwe agụụ inweta ebe obibi anyị dị nʼeluigwe.
3 if indeed being also clothed we shall not be found naked.
Ka ọ ga-abụ anyị yiri ya, ka anyị hapụ ịdị ka ndị gba ọtọ.
4 For indeed we who are in the tabernacle groan, being burdened; while yet we do not wish to be unclothed, but clothed, that [what is] mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Mgbe ahụ niile anyị nọ nʼime ụlọ ikwu a, anyị na-anọgide nʼịsụ ude nke ibu arọ. Ọ bụghị nʼihi na anyị chọrọ ịnwụ anwụ bụrụ ndị na-enweghị anụ ahụ, kama ọ bụ nʼihi na anyị chọrọ ka e yikwasị anyị anụ ahụ nke eluigwe ahụ, ka anụ ahụ a pụrụ ịnwụ anwụ yikwasị ndụ ebighị ebi.
5 Now he that has wrought us for this very thing [is] God, who also has given to us the earnest of the Spirit.
Chineke onye ya onwe ya, bụ onye kwadobere anyị maka mgbanwo nke a, nyekwara anyị Mmụọ Nsọ ka ọ bụrụ onye ga-ahụ na anyị ga-enwetazu nkwa ahụ niile.
6 Therefore [we are] always confident, and know that while present in the body we are absent from the Lord,
Nʼihi nke a, anyị nwere obi ike mgbe niile, nʼihi na anyị maara na mgbe anyị na-aga nʼihu na-adị ndụ nʼanụ ahụ a, anyị na Onyenwe anyị anọghị.
7 (for we walk by faith, not by sight; )
Nʼihi ọ bụ okwukwe ka anyị ji adị ndụ ọ bụghị ihe anya hụrụ.
8 we are confident, I say, and pleased rather to be absent from the body and present with the Lord.
Obi siri anyị ike. Ọ gaara amasị anyị ịhapụ ụlọ nke a anyị bi na ya, bụ ahụ anyị ma lakwuru Onyenwe anyị nʼebe obibi ya.
9 Wherefore also we are zealous, whether present or absent, to be agreeable to him.
Ya mere, ma anyị nọ nʼụlọ a maọbụ nʼọzọ, ihe anyị chọrọ bụ ka anyị mee ihe ga-atọ ya ụtọ.
10 For we must all be manifested before the judgment-seat of the Christ, that each may receive the things [done] in the body, according to those he has done, whether [it be] good or evil.
Nʼihi na anyị niile ga-eguzo nʼihu oche ikpe Kraịst, mgbe ahụ onye ọbụla nʼime anyị, nʼotu nʼotu, ga-anata ụgwọ ọrụ dịka ihe ọ rụrụ na-anụ ahụ ya mgbe ọ nọ nʼime ụwa si dị, maọbụ ezi ihe maọbụ ihe ọjọọ.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men, but have been manifested to God, and I hope also that we have been manifested in your consciences.
Ọ bụ nʼihi na anyị maara nnọọ ihe ịtụ egwu Onyenwe anyị pụtara, ka anyị ji na-arụsị ọrụ ike ka ndị mmadụ mata Chineke makwaara ụdị mmadụ anyị bụ. Enwekwara m olileanya na nke a pụtara ihe nye akọnuche unu.
12 [For] we do not again commend ourselves to you, but [we are] giving to you occasion of boast in our behalf, that ye may have [such] with those boasting in countenance, and not in heart.
Anyị adịghị agbalị ịgwa unu na anyị dị mma, kama anyị chọrọ inye unu ihe unu ga-eji nyaa isi mgbe unu na-ekwu ihe banyere anyị, ka unu nwee ike ịmata ihe unu ga-azaghachi ndị ahụ na-anya isi banyere ihe ha ji anya ha hụ, kama ihe dị mmadụ nʼobi.
13 For whether we are beside ourselves, [it is] to God; or are sober, [it is] for you.
Ọ bụrụ na anyị amaghị onwe anyị, ọ bụ nʼihi Chineke, ọ bụrụ na anyị nwere uche zuruoke, ọ bụ nʼihi unu.
14 For the love of the Christ constrains us, having judged this: that one died for all, then all have died;
Ọ bụ ịhụnanya Kraịst na-akwagide anyị, nʼihi na anyị kwere na otu onye nwụrụ maka mmadụ niile, nke pụtara na mmadụ niile anwụọla.
15 and he died for all, that they who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who died for them and has been raised.
Ọ nwụrụ nʼihi mmadụ niile, ka ndị dị ndụ gharakwa ịdịrị onwe ha ndụ ọzọ, kama maka onye ahụ nwụrụ nʼihi ha ma sikwa nʼọnwụ kulie.
16 So that we henceforth know no one according to flesh; but if even we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we know [him thus] no longer.
Bido ugbu a gawa, anyị adịghị elekwa onye ọbụla anya dịka mmadụ nkịtị. Nʼihi na anyị sitere nʼụzọ dị otu a lee Kraịst anya, chee na ọ bụ mmadụ efu. Ma ugbu a, anyị amakwaghị ya nʼụzọ dị otu a.
17 So if any one [be] in Christ, [there is] a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:
Ya mere, ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla amalite ịdị ndụ nʼime Kraịst, ọ ghọọla onye e kere ọhụrụ, ihe ochie agaala, nke ọhụrụ anọchie.
18 and all things [are] of the God who has reconciled us to himself by [Jesus] Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:
Ma ọ bụ Chineke bụ onye na-eme ihe ndị a. Ọ bụ ya onwe ya sitere nʼaka Kraịst mee ka anyị na ya dịrị nʼudo. Ma ugbu a, o nyela anyị ọrụ ije ozi, ịkpọ ndị ọzọ ka ha bịa ka ya na ha dịrịkwa nʼudo.
19 how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.
20 We are ambassadors therefore for Christ, God as [it were] beseeching by us, we entreat for Christ, Be reconciled to God.
21 Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness in him.
Nʼihi na o mere ka onye ahụ na-amaghị mmehie bụrụ mmehie nʼọnọdụ anyị, ka esi otu a mee ka anyị nwee oke nʼime ezi omume Chineke site na ya.
