2 Chronicles 5
1 And all the work was finished that Solomon made for the house of Jehovah. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he put among the treasures of the house of God.
[聖殿落成]撒羅滿為上主的殿所作的一切工作完成了以後，遂將他父親達味所奉獻的禮品，金銀和所有的器具運上來，存放在天主殿宇的府庫裏。 [迎約櫃入聖殿]
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.
那時，撒羅滿召集以色列的長老，各支派的首領和以色列子民各家族長，到耶路撒冷，機上主的約櫃從達味城，即熙雍運上來。
3 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king at the feast, that of the seventh month.
以色列人於是在七月的節日，都聚集到君王那裏。
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
以色列所有的長老一來到，肋未人便抬起約櫃，
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent: the priests, the Levites, brought them up.
將約櫃和會幕內所有的聖器都抬上來；抬運的都是司祭和肋未人。
6 And king Solomon, and all the assembly of Israel, that were assembled to him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen which could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.
撒羅滿王和聚集在他那裏的以色列全會眾，在約櫃前宰殺了牛羊，多得無法計算，不可勝數。
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah to its place, into the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim;
司祭們將上主的約櫃抬到殿的內部，即至聖所內，放在革魯賓的翅膀下，那早已預備的地方。
8 and the cherubim stretched forth [their] wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its staves above.
革魯賓伸開翅膀遮在約櫃的所在之上，所以革魯賓在上面正遮著約櫃和抬櫃的扛桿。
9 And the staves were long, so that the ends of the staves were seen outside the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there they are to this day.
這扛桿很長，扛頭從內殿前的聖所裏可以看見，在殿外卻看不見；直到今天還在那裏。
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb, when Jehovah made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
約櫃內除了兩塊石版，沒有別的東西：這是以色列子民出埃及後，上主與他們立約時，梅瑟在曷勒布山放在裏面的。[上主顯示榮耀]
11 And it came to pass when the priests were come out of the holy place (for all the priests that were present were hallowed without observing the courses;
當司祭從聖所出來時，─因為所有在場的司祭都自潔過，未分班次，
12 and the Levites the singers, all they of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, clad in byssus, with cymbals and lutes and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets),
全體歌唱的肋未人，阿撒夫、赫曼、耶杜通，和他們的兒子以及他們同族的弟兄，一律穿著細麻的衣服，站在祭壇的東面，擊鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴；同他們在一起的，尚有一百二十位司祭吹號筒，─
13 — it came to pass when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one voice to be heard in praising and thanking Jehovah; and when they lifted up their voice with trumpets, and cymbals, and instruments of music, and praised Jehovah: For he is good, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; that then the house, the house of Jehovah, was filled with a cloud,
吹號筒的和歌唱的人都同聲同調讚美上主。當他們配合號筒鐃鈸和各種樂器，高聲讚美上主說：「因為他是聖善的，因為他的仁慈永遠常存」時，雲彩充滿了聖殿，即上主的殿，
14 and the priests could not stand to do their service because of the cloud; for the glory of Jehovah had filled the house of God.
致使司祭由於雲彩不能繼續奉職，因為上主的光榮充滿了天主的殿。
