2 Chronicles 19
1 And Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
೧ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದನು.
2 And Jehu the son of Hanani, the seer, went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate Jehovah? Therefore is wrath upon thee from Jehovah.
೨ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಹನಾನೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೇಹೂ ಎಂಬ ದರ್ಶಕನು ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಬಹುದೇ? ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹಗೆಗಾರರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬಹುದೇ? ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೋಪವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee; for thou hast put away the Asherahs out of the land, and hast directed thy heart to seek God.
೩ಆದರೂ, ನೀನು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಉಂಟೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
4 And Jehoshaphat dwelt in Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back to Jehovah the God of their fathers.
೪ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದಿಂದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಪರ್ವತದ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದನು.
5 And he set judges in the land throughout the fortified cities of Judah, city by city.
೫ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
6 And he said to the judges, Take heed what ye do; for ye judge not for man, but for Jehovah, who will be with you in the matter of judgment.
೬ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಹೇಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದಿರಿ. ನೀವು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗಾಗಿ. ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
7 And now, let the terror of Jehovah be upon you; be careful what ye do, for there is no iniquity with Jehovah, nor respect of persons, nor taking of presents.
೭ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯವಿರಲಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವೂ, ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದನು.
8 — And moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set some of the Levites and priests, and of the chief fathers of Israel, for the judgment of Jehovah and for causes. — And they returned to Jerusalem.
೮ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿವಾರದವರೊಡನೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಲೇವಿಯರಿಂದಲೂ, ಯಾಜಕರಿಂದಲೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಗೋತ್ರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಂದಲೂ, ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ, ಕಲಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೇರೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ ತೀರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
9 And he charged them saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of Jehovah faithfully and with a perfect heart.
೯ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ,
10 And what cause soever comes to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against Jehovah, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren: this do and ye shall not trespass.
೧೦ಯೆಹೂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಳಗೆ ಜೀವಹತ್ಯ ಸಂಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲಿ, ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಆಯಾ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಸಂಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವುಂಟಾಗಿ, ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಾಗದಂತೆ ನೀವು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿರಿ. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ ನೀವು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.
11 And behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Jehovah, and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, prince of the house of Judah, in all the king's matters; and ye have the Levites before you as officers. Be strong and do it, and Jehovah will be with the good.
೧೧ಇಗೋ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಜ್ಞಾಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಅಮರ್ಯನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕನು; ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದ ಪ್ರಮುಖನೂ ಆದ ಜೆಬದ್ಯನು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನು; ಲೇವಿಯರು ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಧ್ಯೆರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ರವೃತ್ತರಾಗಿರಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸಜ್ಜನರ ಸಹಾಯಕನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
