< 1 Timothy 5 >

1 Rebuke not an elder sharply, but exhort [him] as a father, younger [men] as brethren,
ulekaghe pikun'dalikila umunhu un'goyo, looli um'bulaghe hwene mpafi ghwako. avadiimi ujovaghe navo hwene vanino.
2 elder women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity.
nava vahinja, uvavombelaghe muvunofu vwoni hwene valumbulio.
3 Honour widows who are really widows;
uvavulaghe avitiki kuuti, vavatangaghe avakijuuva avafwile avasila lutango.
4 but if any widow have children or descendants, let them learn first to be pious as regards their own house, and to render a return on their side to [their] parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
neke umfwile ghweni juno ali na vaana nambe avisukulu, avuo vamanyilaghe taasi kuvomba sino sinoghile munyumba saave. vavavombelaghe avapafi vaave, ukuo kwekugomosia sino voope vavombilue. kuvomba uluo kwekuno uNguluve ikeela.
5 Now she who [is] a widow indeed, and is left alone, has put [her] hope in God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.
umukijuuva umfwile juno naali nu muunhu ughwa kuntanga, ujuo ikumuhuvila uNguluve, ikufuunya na kusuuma ulutango kwa Nguluve pakilo na pamwisi.
6 But she that lives in habits of self-indulgence is dead [while] living.
looli umukujuuva umfwile juno ikeela uvunoghekua vwa iisi, ujuo mfue napano ivoneka mwumi.
7 And these things enjoin, that they may be irreproachable.
soope isio uvavuule avitiki kuuti valeke kupikua.
8 But if any one does not provide for his own, and specially for those of [his] house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than the unbeliever.
neke umuunhu ghweni juno naikuvatanga avaanhu vaake, kyonga ava munyumba jaake, ujuo iiva alulekiile ulwitiko, iiva m'biivi kukila umupanji.
9 Let a widow be put upon the list, being of not less than sixty years, [having been] wife of one man,
umfwile anoghiile kuuva muvutavike vwa vafwile, nave ali na maaka kutengulila ifijigho ntanda, kange na m'bwafu.”
10 borne witness to in good works, if she have brought up children, if she have exercised hospitality, if she have washed saints' feet, if she have imparted relief to the distressed, if she have diligently followed every good work.
olekwaghe vunofu, ndavule avisaghe asungile avaana vaake vunofu, atengeliile avagheesi na vitiki, avatangile vano vupumusivua, kange avombile imbombo sooni inofu.
11 But younger widows decline; for when they grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,
looli avafwile avajeela, nungavupilaghe muvutavike, ulwakuva uvunoghelua vwa m'bili vukuvaghighila kukila kukutavula kwa Kilisite, apuo vilondagha kutolua.
12 being guilty, because they have cast off their first faith.
mu uluo viiva vikwingila muvuhighi, ulwakuva vavulekile ulufingo lwave kwa Kilisite, ulwakujigha kisila kutolua kange.
13 And, at the same time, they learn also [to be] idle, going about to people's houses; and not only idle, but also gossipers and meddlers, speaking things not becoming.
palikimo nuluo, vimanyila uvwolo panovighendaghenda munyumba isa vaanhu. nakwekuti vuvwolo vwene, kange viiva vaheehi na kuhanga mumbombo isa vange, nu vuholiholi na kujova sino nasinoghiile.
14 I will therefore that the younger marry, bear children, rule the house, give no occasion to the adversary in respect of reproach.
lino, une nikeela avafwile avajeela, vatolwaghe vapapaghe avaana na kulolelela inyumba saave, neke avalugu valeke kukuvajova fivi.
15 For already some have turned aside after Satan.
ulwakuva avafwile vamonga vasovike, vikum'bingilila uSetano.
16 If any believing man or woman have widows, let them impart relief to them, and let not the assembly be charged, that it may impart relief to those [that are] widows indeed.
nave umukijuuva umwitiki ali na vafwile munyumba jaake, avatangaghe, kuuti ulukong'haano luleke kukwangilua. neke ulukong'haano luuva nu vweleefu uvwa kuvatanga avafwile avange avasila lutango.
17 Let the elders who take the lead [among the saints] well be esteemed worthy of double honour, specially those labouring in word and teaching;
avaloleleli va lukong'haano, vano vivomba imbombo vunofu, voghopwaghe na kuhombua vunofu,” kyongo vano vikuhumia kudalikila na kuvulanisia.
18 for the scripture says, Thou shalt not muzzle an ox that treadeth out corn, and, The workman [is] worthy of his hire.
ulwakuva lilembilue muMalembe aMimike kuuti, ulekaghe kukujibunga ing'ombe umulono, pano jisyonda ingano paluvugha. kange lilembilue, um'bomba mbombo anoghiile kuhombua uluhombo lwake.”
19 Against an elder receive not an accusation unless where there are two or three witnesses.
ulekaghe kukwitika inongua sino sijovua vwimila umuloleleli ghwa lukong'haano, kisila vwolesi vwa vaanhu vavili nambe vatatu.
20 Those that sin convict before all, that the rest also may have fear.
looli avaloleleli vano vifihoka amakole, uvadalikilaghe pavinga, kuuti avange voghopaghe.
21 I testify before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, that thou keep these things without prejudice, doing nothing by favour.
nikukulaghila pamaso gha Nguluve, na pamaso gha Yeesu Kilisite na vanyamhola avasalulua kuuti, ugadililaghe aghuo, ulekaghe kuhigha ng'hani ng'hani kisila kulutang'hinia nambe kutangila lubale.
22 Lay hands quickly on no man, nor partake in others' sins. Keep thyself pure.
nungamwitikisyaghe ng'haning'hani umuunhu pikumwimika pa mbombo ja Mutwa, ulwakuva ungam'biike umuhosi pa mbombo, najuuve ghuuva uhangile amakole ghaake. uve ghulolelelaghe uvwumi vwako, uvisaghe mugholofu.
23 Drink no longer only water, but use a little wine on account of thy stomach and thy frequent illnesses.
kuhuma lino, nunganywisaghe amalenga gheene, looli unywisaghe nu luhuuje ludebe vwimila inhamu jaako ija lileme ni nhamu isingi sino sasikukugasia.
24 Of some men the sins are manifest beforehand, going before to judgment, and some also they follow after.
nungavitikisyaghe ng'hani ng'hani avanhu pa mbombo ja Mutwa, ulwakuva avanhu avange, amakole ghaave, ghali pavuvalafu, ghikuvalongolela kuvuhighi. neke avange, amakole ghaave ghafisiime, ghivoneka pambele.
25 In like manner good works also are manifest beforehand, and those that are otherwise cannot be hid.
enendiki, imbombo inofu sivoneka pavuvalafu, soope sino sifisiime sihanga sivoneke.
