< 1 Timothy 4 >
1 But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in latter times some shall apostatise from the faith, giving their mind to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons
Honhom no si no pi sɛ, akyire yi, nnipa bi bɛgyae gyidie no mu sɔ. Wɔbɛdi atorɔ ahonhom ne ahonhommɔne nkyerɛkyerɛ akyi.
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, cauterised as to their own conscience,
Saa nkyerɛkyerɛ yi firi nyaatwomfoɔ nnaadaa a wɔyɛ adwenewuiɛfoɔ sɛ dadeɛ a wɔato wɔ ogya mu no.
3 forbidding to marry, [bidding] to abstain from meats, which God has created for receiving with thanksgiving for them who are faithful and know the truth.
Saa nnipa no kyerɛkyerɛ sɛ ɛnyɛ sɛ obi ware na nnuane bi nso wɔ hɔ a, ɛnyɛ sɛ onipa di. Nanso, Onyankopɔn bɔɔ saa nnuane no sɛ, sɛ agyidifoɔ a wɔahunu nokorɛ no nsa ka na wɔbɔ so mpaeɛ a, wɔtumi di.
4 For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing [is] to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving;
Biribiara a Onyankopɔn abɔ no yɛ. Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔpo biribiara, na mmom, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔbɔ mpaeɛ gu ne nyinaa so.
5 for it is sanctified by God's word and freely addressing [him].
Ɛfiri sɛ, Onyankopɔn asɛm no ne mpaeɛbɔ te ho.
6 Laying these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which thou hast fully followed up.
7 But profane and old wives' fables avoid, but exercise thyself unto piety;
Nsɛe wo berɛ wɔ atorɔsɛm ne mmerewa anansesɛm ho. Bɔ onyamesompa ho mmɔden.
8 for bodily exercise is profitable for a little, but piety is profitable for everything, having promise of life, of the present one, and of that to come.
Ɛwom sɛ honam mu mmɔdemmɔ ho hia deɛ, nanso honhom mu mmɔdemmɔ ho hia akwan nyinaa mu, ɛfiri sɛ, ɛhyɛ yɛn ɛnnɛ asetena ne daakye asetena ho bɔ.
9 The word [is] faithful and worthy of all acceptation;
Yei yɛ nokwasɛm a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔgye tom na wɔgye di.
10 for, for this we labour and suffer reproach, because we hope in a living God, who is preserver of all men, specially of those that believe.
Ɛno enti na ɛsɛ sɛ yɛpere na yɛyɛ adwuma denden, ɛfiri sɛ, yɛde yɛn anidasoɔ ahyɛ Onyankopɔn teasefoɔ a ɔyɛ nnipa nyinaa Agyenkwa no mu, ne titire wɔn a wɔgye asɛm no di no.
11 Enjoin and teach these things.
Yeinom na ɛsɛ sɛ moka ho asɛm wɔ mo nkyerɛkyerɛ no mu.
12 Let no one despise thy youth, but be a model of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Mma obiara ho kwan mma ɔmmfa wo sɛ wonnyiniiɛ enti ɔbɛbu wo abomfiaa. Wo kasa mu, wo suban mu, wo dɔ mu, wo gyidie mu ne wo kronnyɛ mu no, ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ nhwɛso pa.
13 Till I come, give thyself to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
Nya adagyeɛ kenkan Atwerɛsɛm no na ka Asɛmpa no na kyerɛkyerɛ ansa na maba.
14 Be not negligent of the gift [that is] in thee, which has been given to thee through prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the elderhood.
Honhom mu akyɛdeɛ a mpanimfoɔ nam nkɔmhyɛ so de wɔn nsa guu wo so a wonyaeɛ no, nnyaa mu.
15 Occupy thyself with these things; be wholly in them, that thy progress may be manifest to all.
Sɔ saa nneɛma no mu yie. Fa wo ho nyinaa ma wɔn sɛdeɛ ɛbɛma obiara ahunu wo nkɔsoɔ.
16 Give heed to thyself and to the teaching; continue in them; for, doing this, thou shalt save both thyself and those that hear thee.
Hwɛ wo ho so yie na hwɛ wo nkyerɛkyerɛ nso so. Kɔ so yɛ saa nneɛma yi nyinaa, ɛfiri sɛ, sɛ woyɛ saa a, wobɛgye wo ho ne wɔn a wɔtie wo no nkwa.
