< 1 Timothy 4 >

1 But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in latter times some shall apostatise from the faith, giving their mind to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons
Te dongah hmailong tue ah hlangvang loh tangnah te a nong tak ni tila Mueihla loh phaeng a thui coeng. Te vaengah laithaelaidang mueihla neh rhaithae kah thuituennah te a ngaithuen uh ni.
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, cauterised as to their own conscience,
A mingcimnah te laithae kah thailatnah neh a kolh uh coeng.
3 forbidding to marry, [bidding] to abstain from meats, which God has created for receiving with thanksgiving for them who are faithful and know the truth.
Yuloh vasak ham a paa sak tih uepom rhoek neh oltkak aka ming rhoek loh uemonah neh a doe ham Pathen loh a suen cakok te a rhael sak.
4 For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing [is] to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving;
Pathen kah kutngo tah boeih then tih hnawt ham moenih uemonah neh doe ham ni.
5 for it is sanctified by God's word and freely addressing [him].
Pathen kah olka neh rhikhangnah loh a ciim coeng.
6 Laying these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which thou hast fully followed up.
He he manuca rhoek taengah a then la na tloeng pah atah Khrih Jesuh kah tueihyoeih la na om ni. Tangnah olka neh n'hlinsai tih thuituennah then te na thuep coeng.
7 But profane and old wives' fables avoid, but exercise thyself unto piety;
Tedae a rhonging neh yancil a rhuem hnawt lamtah hingcimnah ham namah hlinsai uh.
8 for bodily exercise is profitable for a little, but piety is profitable for everything, having promise of life, of the present one, and of that to come.
Pumrho hlinsainah tah hoeikhang la bet akhaw om. Tedae hingcimnah tah tahae kah hingnah neh hmailong kah olkhueh aka om boeih ham hoeikhang la om.
9 The word [is] faithful and worthy of all acceptation;
Olka tah uepom neh hlang boeih kah a doe ham tueng.
10 for, for this we labour and suffer reproach, because we hope in a living God, who is preserver of all men, specially of those that believe.
He ham kongah n'thakthae uh tih n'thingthuel uh cakhaw aka hing Pathen ni n'ngaiuep uh. Amah tah hlang boeih neh olpuei la uepom rhoek kah khangkung la om.
11 Enjoin and teach these things.
He rhoek he uen lamtah thuituen.
12 Let no one despise thy youth, but be a model of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Na camoe te han hnaep boel saeh, tedae olka dongah, omih dongah, lungnah dongah, tangnah dongah, cilpoenah dongah, uepom rhoek ham mueimae la om lah.
13 Till I come, give thyself to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
Ka pawk hil olcim taenah, thaphohnah, thuituennah te ngaithuen uh.
14 Be not negligent of the gift [that is] in thee, which has been given to thee through prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the elderhood.
Nang dongah kutdoe te sawtrhoel boeh. Te tah tonghma ol lamloh kangham rhoek kah kut tloengnah nen ni nang m'paek.
15 Occupy thyself with these things; be wholly in them, that thy progress may be manifest to all.
He he na mangtuk tih a khuiah na om daengah ni na rhoengcawtnah loh hlang boeih taengah mingpha la a om eh.
16 Give heed to thyself and to the teaching; continue in them; for, doing this, thou shalt save both thyself and those that hear thee.
Namah te laehdawn uh lamtah thuituennah te oei lah. He tla saii daengah ni namah khaw, nang aka hnatung rhoek khaw na khang eh.
