1 Thessalonians 5
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to,
೧ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗಳಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
2 for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of [the] Lord so comes as a thief by night.
೨ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕಳ್ಳನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕರ್ತನ ದಿನವು ಬರುವುದೆಂದು ನೀವೇ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ.
3 When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
೩“ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು” ಜನರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ನಾಶನವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬರುವುದು, ಅವರು ಹೇಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರರು.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief:
೪ಆದರೆ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಆ ದಿನವು ಕಳ್ಳನಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಲ್ಲ.
5 for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness.
೫ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ‘ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು’ ಹಾಗೂ ‘ಹಗಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು’ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀರಷ್ಟೆ, ನಾವು ರಾತ್ರಿಯವರೂ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಕತ್ತಲೆಯವರೂ ಅಲ್ಲ.
6 So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober;
೬ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ಇತರರಂತೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡದೆ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರೋಣ, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಚಿತ್ತರಾಗಿರೋಣ.
7 for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night;
೭ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡುವವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅಮಲೇರುವವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮಲೇರುತ್ತಾರಷ್ಟೆ.
8 but we being of [the] day, let us be sober, putting on [the] breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet [the] hope of salvation;
೮ನಾವಾದರೋ ಹಗಲಿನವರಾಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಳೆಂಬ ಎದೆಕವಚವನ್ನೂ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯೆಂಬ ಶಿರಸ್ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಚಿತ್ತರಾಗಿರೋಣ.
9 because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
೯ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೇಮಿಸದೆ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
10 who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with him.
೧೦ನಾವು ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಸರಿಯೇ ಅಥವಾ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಸರಿಯೇ, ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಜೀವಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೇಸು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
11 Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.
೧೧ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಈಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇರಿ.
12 But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in [the] Lord, and admonish you,
೧೨ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಕರ್ತನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತರೋ,
13 and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
೧೩ಅವರನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಕೆಲಸದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿರಿ.
14 But we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, be patient towards all.
೧೪ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಮೈಗಳ್ಳರಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೇಳಿರಿ, ಮನಗುಂದಿದವರನ್ನು ಧೈರ್ಯಪಡಿಸಿರಿ, ಬಲಹೀನರಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿರಿ, ಎಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯಿಂದಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
15 See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
೧೫ಯಾರೂ ಅಪಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಕಾರಮಾಡದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಹಿತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿರಿ.
16 rejoice always;
೧೬ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿರಿ,
17 pray unceasingly;
೧೭ಎಡೆಬಿಡದೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿರಿ,
18 in everything give thanks, for this is [the] will of God in Christ Jesus towards you;
೧೮ಎಲ್ಲಾದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸ್ತುತಿಮಾಡಿರಿ ಇದೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಬಂದ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
19 quench not the Spirit;
೧೯ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ನಂದಿಸಬೇಡಿ,
20 do not lightly esteem prophecies;
೨೦ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿನೈಸಬೇಡಿರಿ.
21 but prove all things, hold fast the right;
೨೧ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
22 hold aloof from every form of wickedness.
೨೨ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಿ.
23 Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
೨೩ಶಾಂತಿದಾಯಕನಾದ ದೇವರು ತಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಲಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮ, ಪ್ರಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಶರೀರಗಳು ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಲ್ಪಡಲಿ.
24 He [is] faithful who calls you, who will also perform [it].
೨೪ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದವನು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನು, ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವನು.
25 Brethren, pray for us.
೨೫ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
೨೬ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ವಂದಿಸಿರಿ.
27 I adjure you by the Lord that the letter be read to all the [holy] brethren.
೨೭ಈ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಓದಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.
೨೮ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕೃಪೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ.
