1 Thessalonians 2
1 For ye know yourselves, brethren, our entering in which [we had] to you, that it has not been in vain;
හේ භ්‍රාතරඃ, යුෂ්මන්මධ්‍යේ (අ)ස්මාකං ප්‍රවේශෝ නිෂ්ඵලෝ න ජාත ඉති යූයං ස්වයං ජානීථ|
2 but, having suffered before and been insulted, even as ye know, in Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the glad tidings of God with much earnest striving.
අපරං යුෂ්මාභි ර‍්‍යථාශ්‍රාවි තථා පූර්ව්වං ඵිලිපීනගරේ ක්ලිෂ්ටා නින්දිතාශ්ච සන්තෝ(අ)පි වයම් ඊශ්වරාද් උත්සාහං ලබ්ධ්වා බහුයත්නේන යුෂ්මාන් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය සුසංවාදම් අබෝධයාම|
3 For our exhortation [was] not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile;
යතෝ(අ)ස්මාකම් ආදේශෝ භ්‍රාන්තේරශුචිභාවාද් වෝත්පන්නඃ ප්‍රවඤ්චනායුක්තෝ වා න භවති|
4 but even as we have been approved of God to have the glad tidings entrusted to us, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who proves our hearts.
කින්ත්වීශ්වරේණාස්මාන් පරීක්‍ෂ්‍ය විශ්වසනීයාන් මත්ත්වා ච යද්වත් සුසංවාදෝ(අ)ස්මාසු සමාර්ප්‍යත තද්වද් වයං මානවේභ්‍යෝ න රුරෝචිෂමාණාඃ කින්ත්වස්මදන්තඃකරණානාං පරීක්‍ෂකායේශ්වරාය රුරෝචිෂමාණා භාෂාමහේ|
5 For we have not at any time been [among you] with flattering discourse, even as ye know, nor with a pretext for covetousness, God [is] witness;
වයං කදාපි ස්තුතිවාදිනෝ නාභවාමේති යූයං ජානීථ කදාපි ඡලවස්ත්‍රේණ ලෝභං නාච්ඡාදයාමේත්‍යස්මින් ඊශ්වරඃ සාක්‍ෂී විද්‍යතේ|
6 nor seeking glory from men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have been a charge as Christ's apostles;
වයං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය ප්‍රේරිතා ඉව ගෞරවාන්විතා භවිතුම් අශක්‍ෂ්‍යාම කින්තු යුෂ්මත්තඃ පරස්මාද් වා කස්මාදපි මානවාද් ගෞරවං න ලිප්සමානා යුෂ්මන්මධ්‍යේ මෘදුභාවා භූත්වාවර්ත්තාමහි|
7 but have been gentle in the midst of you, as a nurse would cherish her own children.
යථා කාචින්මාතා ස්වකීයශිශූන් පාලයති තථා වයමපි යුෂ්මාන් කාඞ්ක්‍ෂමාණා
8 Thus, yearning over you, we had found our delight in having imparted to you not only the glad tidings of God, but our own lives also, because ye had become beloved of us.
යුෂ්මභ්‍යං කේවලම් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය සුසංවාදං තන්නහි කින්තු ස්වකීයප්‍රාණාන් අපි දාතුං මනෝභිරභ්‍යලෂාම, යතෝ යූයම් අස්මාකං ස්නේහපාත්‍රාණ්‍යභවත|
9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and toil: working night and day, not to be chargeable to any one of you, we have preached to you the glad tidings of God.
හේ භ්‍රාතරඃ, අස්මාකං ශ්‍රමඃ ක්ලේශශ්ච යුෂ්මාභිඃ ස්මර‍්‍ය්‍යතේ යුෂ්මාකං කෝ(අ)පි යද් භාරග්‍රස්තෝ න භවේත් තදර්ථං වයං දිවානිශං පරිශ්‍රාම්‍යන්තෝ යුෂ්මන්මධ්‍ය ඊශ්වරස්‍ය සුසංවාදමඝෝෂයාම|
10 Ye [are] witnesses, and God, how piously and righteously and blamelessly we have conducted ourselves with you that believe:
අපරඤ්ච විශ්වාසිනෝ යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රති වයං කීදෘක් පවිත්‍රත්වයථාර්ථත්වනිර්දෝෂත්වාචාරිණෝ(අ)භවාමේත්‍යස්මින් ඊශ්වරෝ යූයඤ්ච සාක්‍ෂිණ ආධ්වේ|
11 as ye know how, as a father his own children, we used to exhort each one of you, and comfort and testify,
අපරඤ්ච යද්වත් පිතා ස්වබාලකාන් තද්වද් වයං යුෂ්මාකම් ඒකෛකං ජනම් උපදිෂ්ටවන්තඃ සාන්ත්විතවන්තශ්ච,
12 that ye should walk worthy of God, who calls you to his own kingdom and glory.
ය ඊශ්වරඃ ස්වීයරාජ්‍යාය විභවාය ච යුෂ්මාන් ආහූතවාන් තදුපයුක්තාචරණාය යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රවර්ත්තිතවන්තශ්චේති යූයං ජානීථ|
13 And for this cause we also give thanks to God unceasingly that, having received [the] word of [the] report of God by us, ye accepted, not men's word, but, even as it is truly, God's word, which also works in you who believe.
යස්මින් සමයේ යූයම් අස්මාකං මුඛාද් ඊශ්වරේණ ප්‍රතිශ්‍රුතං වාක්‍යම් අලභධ්වං තස්මින් සමයේ තත් මානුෂාණාං වාක්‍යං න මත්ත්වේශ්වරස්‍ය වාක්‍යං මත්ත්වා ගෘහීතවන්ත ඉති කාරණාද් වයං නිරන්තරම් ඊශ්වරං ධන්‍යං වදාමඃ, යතස්තද් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය වාක්‍යම් ඉති සත්‍යං විශ්වාසිනාං යුෂ්මාකං මධ්‍යේ තස්‍ය ගුණඃ ප්‍රකාශතේ ච|
14 For ye, brethren, have become imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judaea in Christ Jesus; for ye also have suffered the same things of your own countrymen as also they of the Jews,
හේ භ්‍රාතරඃ, ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටාශ්‍රිතවත්‍ය ඊශ්වරස්‍ය යාඃ සමිත්‍යෝ යිහූදාදේශේ සන්ති යූයං තාසාම් අනුකාරිණෝ(අ)භවත, තද්භුක්තා ලෝකාශ්ච යද්වද් යිහූදිලෝකේභ්‍යස්තද්වද් යූයමපි ස්වජාතීයලෝකේභ්‍යෝ දුඃඛම් අලභධ්වං|
15 who have both slain the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and have driven us out by persecution, and do not please God, and [are] against all men,
තේ යිහූදීයාඃ ප්‍රභුං යීශුං භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනශ්ච හතවන්තෝ (අ)ස්මාන් දූරීකෘතවන්තශ්ච, ත ඊශ්වරාය න රෝචන්තේ සර්ව්වේෂාං මානවානාං විපක්‍ෂා භවන්ති ච;
16 forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, that they may fill up their sins always: but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
අපරං භින්නජාතීයලෝකානාං පරිත්‍රාණාර්ථං තේෂාං මධ්‍යේ සුසංවාදඝෝෂණාද් අස්මාන් ප්‍රතිෂේධන්ති චේත්ථං ස්වීයපාපානාං පරිමාණම් උත්තරෝත්තරං පූරයන්ති, කින්තු තේෂාම් අන්තකාරී ක්‍රෝධස්තාන් උපක්‍රමතේ|
17 But we, brethren, having been bereaved of you and separated for a little moment in person, not in heart, have used more abundant diligence to see your face with much desire;
හේ භ්‍රාතරඃ මනසා නහි කින්තු වදනේන කියත්කාලං යුෂ්මත්තෝ (අ)ස්මාකං විච්ඡේදේ ජාතේ වයං යුෂ්මාකං මුඛානි ද්‍රෂ්ටුම් අත්‍යාකාඞ්ක්‍ෂයා බහු යතිතවන්තඃ|
18 wherefore we have desired to come to you, even I Paul, both once and twice, and Satan has hindered us.
ද්විරේකකෘත්වෝ වා යුෂ්මත්සමීපගමනායාස්මාකං විශේෂතඃ පෞලස්‍ය මමාභිලාෂෝ(අ)භවත් කින්තු ශයතානෝ (අ)ස්මාන් නිවාරිතවාන්|
19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of boasting? [are] not ye also before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
යතෝ(අ)ස්මාකං කා ප්‍රත්‍යාශා කෝ වානන්දඃ කිං වා ශ්ලාඝ්‍යකිරීටං? අස්මාකං ප්‍රභෝ ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යාගමනකාලේ තත්සම්මුඛස්ථා යූයං කිං තන්න භවිෂ්‍යථ?
20 for ye are our glory and joy.
යූයම් ඒවාස්මාකං ගෞරවානන්දස්වරූපා භවථ|
