1 Samuel 29

1 And the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek; and Israel encamped by the spring that is in Jizreel.

೧ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅಫೇಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಳೆಯಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿನ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.

2 And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds and by thousands; and David and his men passed on in the rearward with Achish.

೨ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಸೈನಿಕರು ನೂರು ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸಾವಿರ ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಯಾಗಿ, ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನ ಜನರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಆಕೀಷನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

3 And the princes of the Philistines said, What are these Hebrews? And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or these years, and I have found nothing in him since the day of his falling away [to me] to this day?

೩ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು, “ಈ ಇಬ್ರಿಯರು ಯಾಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಆಕೀಷನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೌಲನ ಸೇವಕ ದಾವೀದನಲ್ಲವೋ, ಇವನು ಇಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ, ಇಷ್ಟು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದ ದಿನ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಾನು ಇವನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

4 But the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said to him, Make the man return, that he may go again to his place where thou hast appointed him, that he go not down with us to the battle, that in the battle he be not an adversary to us; for wherewith should this [fellow] reconcile himself to his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?

೪ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡು, ಇವನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನೀನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಿಸಲಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಬಂದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಾನು, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಲ್ಲವೇ?

5 Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul smote his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

೫‘ಸೌಲನು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು’ ಎಂದು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಕುಣಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಹಾಡಿದ್ದು ಈ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಅಂದರು.

6 And Achish called David, and said to him, [As] Jehovah liveth, thou art upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the camp is acceptable to me; for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming to me to this day; but thou art not acceptable to the lords.

೬ಆಗ ಆಕೀಷನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವನಾಣೆ ನೀನು ಯಥಾರ್ಥನು. ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದು ಯುಕ್ತವೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿತು. ನೀನು ಬಂದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ದೋಷವನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.

7 And now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.

೭ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಳಿಸಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

8 And David said to Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee to this day, that I should not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?

೮ದಾವೀದನು ಆಕೀಷನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಿದೆನು? ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನಾದ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿ? ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳೊಡನೆ ನಾನೇಕೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು?” ಅಂದನು.

9 And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art acceptable to me, as an angel of God; nevertheless the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.

೯ಆಗ ಆಕೀಷನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತದೆ, ನನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ದೇವದೂತನಂತಿರುತ್ತೀ. ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು, ‘ಇವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡಬಾರದು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ.

10 And now rise up early in the morning with thy master's servants that are come with thee; and rise ye early in the morning, and when ye have daylight, depart.

೧೦ಆದುದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸೇವಕರೂ, ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊತ್ತು ಮೂಡಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

11 And David rose up early, he and his men, to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jizreel.

೧೧ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಡನೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು. ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
