1 Kings 4
1 And king Solomon was king over all Israel.
Assim foi Salomão rei sobre todo o Israel.
2 And these are the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok was priest;
E estes eram os príncipes que tinha: Azarias, filho de Zadok, sacerdote;
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, chronicler;
Elihoreph e Ahia, filhos de Sisa, secretários; Josaphat, filho de Ahilud, chanceler;
4 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
Benaia, filho de Joiada, sobre o exército; e Zadok e Abiathar eram sacerdotes;
5 and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, the king's friend;
E Azarias, filho de Nathan, sobre os provedores; e Zabud, filho de Nathan, oficial-mór, amigo do rei;
6 and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the levy-service.
E Ahisar, mordomo; Adoniram, filho de Abda, sobre o tributo.
7 And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel; and they provided food for the king and his household: each man his month in the year had to make provision.
E tinha Salomão doze provedores sobre todo o Israel, que proviam ao rei e à sua casa: e cada um tinha a prover um mês no ano.
8 And these are their names: Ben-Hur, in mount Ephraim.
E estes são os seus nomes: Ben-hur, nas montanhas de Ephraim;
9 Ben-Deker in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-Beth-hanan.
Ben-deker em Makas, e em Saalbim, e em Beth-semes, e em Elon, e em Bethanan:
10 Ben-Hesed, in Arubboth; he had Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher.
Ben-hesed em Arubboth; também este tinha a Sochó e a toda a terra de Hepher;
11 Ben-Abinadab had all the upland of Dor; Taphath the daughter of Solomon was his wife.
Ben-abinadab em todo o termo de Dor: tinha este a Taphath, filha de Salomão, por mulher;
12 Baana the son of Ahilud had Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zaretan beneath Jizreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-Meholah, as far as beyond Jokneam.
Baana, filho de Ahilud, tinha a Tanach, e a Megiddo, e a toda a Beth-sean, que está junto a Zartana, abaixo de Jezreel, desde Beth-sean até Abel-meola, até de além de Jokneam;
13 Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead; he had the villages of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; he had the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bars of bronze.
O filho de Geber em Ramoth-gilead; tinha este as aldeias de Jair, filho de Manassés, as quais estão em Gilead; também tinha o termo de Argob, o qual está em Basan, sessenta grandes cidades com muros e ferrolhos de cobre;
14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo, at Mahanaim.
Ahinadab, filho de Iddo, em Mahanaim;
15 Ahimaaz, in Nephtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon as wife.
Ahimaas em Nafthali; também este tomou a Basmath, filha de Salomão, por mulher;
16 Baanah the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth.
Baana, filho de Husai, em Aser e em Aloth;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar.
Josaphat, filho de Paruah, em Issacar;
18 Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin.
Simei, filho de Ela, em Benjamin;
19 Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon the king of the Amorites, and of Og the king of Bashan; and [he was] the only superintendent that was in the land.
Geber, filho de Uri, na terra de Gilead, a terra de Sihon, rei dos amorreus, e de Og, rei de Basan; e só uma guarnição havia naquela terra.
20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
Eram pois os de Judá e Israel muitos, como a areia que está ao pé do mar em multidão, comendo, e bebendo, e alegrando-se.
21 And Solomon ruled over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
E dominava Salomão sobre todos os reinos desde o rio até à terra dos philisteus, e até ao termo do Egito; os quais traziam presentes, e serviram a Salomão todos os dias da sua vida
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,
Era pois o provimento de Salomão, cada dia, trinta coros de flor de farinha, e sessenta coros de farinha:
23 ten fatted oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.
Dez vacas gordas, e vinte vacas de pasto, e cem carneiros; a fora os veados e as cabras montezes, e os corços, e aves cevadas.
24 For he had dominion over all on this side the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gazah, over all the kings on this side the river; and he had peace on all sides round about.
Porque dominava sobre tudo quanto havia da banda de cá do rio de Tiphsah até Gaza, sobre todos os reis da banda de cá do rio: e tinha paz de todas a bandas em roda dele.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
E Judá e Israel habitavam seguros, cada um debaixo da sua videira, e debaixo da sua figueira, desde Dan até Berseba, todos os dias de Salomão.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Tinha também Salomão quarenta mil estrebarias de cavalos para os seus carros, e doze mil cavaleiros.
27 And those officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all who came to king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they let nothing be wanting.
Proviam pois estes provedores, cada um no seu mes, ao rei Salomão e a todos quantos se chegavam à mesa do rei Salomão: coisa nenhuma deixavam faltar.
28 And the barley, and the straw for the horses and coursers, they brought to the place where [the superintendents] were, every man according to his charge.
E traziam a cevada e a palha para os cavalos e para os ginetes, para o lugar onde estava, cada um segundo o seu cargo.
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and very great understanding and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
E deu Deus a Salomão sabedoria, e muitíssimo entendimento, e largueza de coração, como a areia que está na praia do mar
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
E era a sabedoria de Salomão maior do que a sabedoria de todos os do oriente e do que toda a sabedoria dos egípcios.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations round about.
E era ele ainda mais sábio do que todos os homens, e do que Ethan, ezrahita, e Heman, e Calcal, e Darda, filho de Mahol: e correu o seu nome por todas as nações em redor.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
E disse três mil provérbios, e foram os seus cânticos mil e cinco.
33 And he spoke of the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of cattle, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
Também falou das árvores, desde o cedro que está no líbano até ao hissopo que nasce na parede: também falou dos animais e das aves, e dos réptis e dos peixes.
34 And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
E vinham de todos os povos a ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão, e de todos os reis da terra que tinham ouvido da sua sabedoria.
