1 Kings 22
1 And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.
[南北兩國戰阿蘭]阿蘭與以色列之間連續三年沒有戰爭。
2 And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.
第三年上，猶大王約沙法特下去見以色列王。
3 And the king of Israel said to his servants, Do ye know that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we keep quiet without taking it out of the hand of the king of Syria?
以色列王對自己的臣僕說：「你們知道辣摩特基肋阿得原屬於我們，而我們一直沒有設法從阿蘭王的手中奪回來。」
4 And he said to Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-Gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
然後對約沙法特說：「你願意同我一起去攻取辣摩特基肋阿得嗎﹖」約沙法特回答以色列王說：「你怎樣，我也怎樣；我的人民就如同是你的人民，我的馬就如同是你的馬。」假先知預言戰勝
5 And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, this day of the word of Jehovah.
以後，約沙法特對以色列王說：「請你先求問上主說什麼﹖」
6 And the king of Israel assembled the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, and the Lord will give it into the king's hand.
以色列王於是召集了眾先知，人數約有四百，問他們說：「我上去進攻辣摩特基肋阿得，還是不去呢﹖」他們回答說：「上去，上主必將那地交於大王手中。」
7 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we might inquire of him?
但是，約沙法特說：「這裏就沒有一位上主的先知，我們可託他求問嗎﹖」
8 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah; but I hate him, for he prophesies no good concerning me, but evil: [it is] Micah the son of Imlah. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
以色列王回答約沙法特說：「還有一個我們可以託他求問上主；不過我憎恨他，因為他對我說預言，總不說吉祥話，只說兇言；這人即是依默拉的兒子米加雅。」約沙法特對他說：「請大王別這樣說! 」
9 Then the king of Israel called a chamberlain, and said, Fetch quickly Micah the son of Imlah.
以色列王於是召一個宦官來，吩咐他說：「快去將依默拉的兒子米加雅召來! 」
10 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, having put on their robes, sat each on his throne, in the open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
當時以色列王和猶大王在撒瑪黎雅城門前的廣場上，各穿朝服，坐在寶座上；所有的先知在他們面前說預言。
11 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron, and he said, Thus saith Jehovah: With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have exterminated them.
革納阿納的兒子漆德克雅帶來了些自製的鐵角說：「上主這樣說：你要用這些鐵角殺盡阿蘭人。」
12 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will give it into the king's hand.
所有的先知也同樣預言說：「你上辣摩特基肋阿得去，必然順利，上主必將那地交於大王手中! 」米加雅預言戰敗
13 And the messenger that went to call Micah spoke to him saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one assent: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak good.
那去召米加雅的使者對米加雅說：「看，先知們都一口同聲對君王說吉祥話，希望你說話，也如同他們中的一個一樣，也說吉祥話。」
14 And Micah said, As Jehovah liveth, even what Jehovah shall say to me, that will I speak.
米加雅回答說：「我指著永生的上主起誓：上主吩咐我什麼，我就說什麼! 」
15 And he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micah, shall we go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he said to him, Go up, and prosper; for Jehovah will give it into the hand of the king.
米加雅來到君王那裏，君王問他說：「米加雅，我們應該上去進攻辣摩特基肋阿得，還是不去呢﹖」他回答說：「上去，必然順利! 上主必將那地交在大王手中! 」
16 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but truth in the name of Jehovah?
君王對他說：「我應該多少次叫你宣誓，你纔奉上主的名對我說實話呢﹖」
17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.
米加雅答說：「我看見全以色列人散在山上，好像沒有牧人的羊群。上主說：這些人既然沒有主人，就讓他們各自平安回家罷! 」
18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he prophesies no good concerning me, but evil?
以色列王對約沙法特說：「我不是告訴過你：他對我說預言總不說吉祥話，只說凶話﹖」
19 And he said, Hear therefore the word of Jehovah: I saw Jehovah sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him, on his right hand and on his left;
米加亞答說：「為此，你且靜聽上主的話：我見上主坐在寶座上，天上的萬軍侍立在他左右。
20 and Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-Gilead? And one said after this manner, and another said after that manner.
上主問說：有誰能去唆使阿哈布，叫他上去進攻辣摩特基肋阿得，而死在那裏呢﹖那時有的說這樣，有的說那樣。
21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before Jehovah, and said, I will entice him.
以後，有一個神出來，立在上主面前說：我能唆使他。上主問他說：用什麼方法﹖
22 And Jehovah said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt entice [him], and also succeed: go forth, and do so.
那神回答說：我去，在他所有的先知口中做虛言的神。上主答說：你必能唆使他，也必會成功，你去照辦罷!
23 And now, behold, Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and Jehovah has spoken evil concerning thee.
現在上主將虛言的神，放入你這些先知口中，上主已注定你必遭殃。」
24 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micah upon the cheek, and said, Where now went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak to thee?
那時，革納阿納的兒子漆德克雅前來，打米加雅的臉說：「上主的神有何曾離開了我，而同你談話呢﹖」
25 And Micah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go from chamber to chamber to hide thyself.
米加雅答說：「在你進入最嚴密的室內隱藏的那一天，你就會知道了。」
26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micah and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;
以色列王吩咐說：「將米加雅帶回去，交給阿孟市長及約阿士王子，
27 and thou shalt say, Thus says the king: Put this [man] in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.
說君王這樣吩咐：將這人下在監裏，少給他吃的喝的，等我平安回來。」
28 And Micah said, If thou return at all in peace, Jehovah has not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O peoples, all of you!
米加雅說：「你如果能平安回來，那麼，上主就沒有藉我說過話。」後又說：「眾百姓! 你們要聽清楚啊! 」阿哈布陣亡
29 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-Gilead.
以色列王遂與猶大王約沙法特上去，進攻辣摩特基肋阿得。
30 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
以色列王對約沙法特說：「我要改裝上陣，你可以仍穿朝服。」於是以色列王改裝上了陣。
31 And the king of Syria commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots saying, Fight neither with small nor great, but with the king of Israel only.
阿蘭王曾吩咐自己的三十二個戰車隊長說：「你們不必與大小將士交戰，只攻打以色列王! 」
32 And it came to pass when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely that is the king of Israel; and they turned against him to fight; and Jehoshaphat cried out.
戰車隊長一看見約沙法特，便說：「這必是以色列王! 」遂轉身向他進攻，約沙法特連聲叫苦；
33 And it came to pass that when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.
戰車隊長見他不是以色列王，就不再追擊他。
34 And a man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the fastenings and the corslet. And he said to his charioteer, Turn thy hand, and drive me out of the camp; for I am wounded.
有人偶然一箭，射入以色列王的鎧甲與腰帶中間，君王對駕車的人說：「轉回! 載我離開陣地，我已受傷。」
35 And the battle increased that day; and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and he died at even; and the blood of the wound ran out into the hollow of the chariot.
但那天戰事越來越激烈，君王仍然立在車上，抵抗阿蘭人；晚上君王就死了；傷處的血直流到車底。
36 And there went the cry throughout the host at the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country!
約在日落的時候，營中傳出號令說：「各自回城，各自歸家，
37 And the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.
君王已死! 」人們將君王送回撒瑪黎雅，在那裏埋葬了。
38 And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked his blood, where the harlots bathed: according to the word of Jehovah, which he had spoken.
在撒瑪黎雅的池塘中，洗滌君王的車時，有狗來舔他的血，有妓女在那裏沐浴，正應驗上主所說的話。
39 And the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house that he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
阿哈布其餘得事蹟，他的一切作為，所建造的象牙宮，以及修築的一切城市，都記載在以色列列王實錄上。
40 And Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
阿哈布與祖先同眠，他的兒子阿哈齊雅繼位為王。約沙法特為猶大王
41 And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
以色列王阿哈布四年，阿撒的兒子約沙法特登極作猶大王。
42 Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Azubah, the daughter of Shilhi.
約沙法特登極時，年三十五歲；在耶路撒冷作王二十五年；他的母親名叫阿組巴，是史肋希的女兒。
43 And he walked in all the way of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing what was right in the sight of Jehovah. Only, the high places were not removed: the people offered and burned incense still on the high places.
約沙法特完全走了他父親阿撒的道路，不偏左右，行了上主視為正義的事； 只有丘壇，還沒有鏟除，人民仍在丘壇上焚香獻祭。
44 And Jehoshaphat was at peace with the king of Israel.
約沙法特與以色列王相安無事。
45 And the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might which he shewed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
約沙法特其餘的事蹟，他所做的英雄事蹟，以及如何作戰，都記載在猶大列王實錄上。
46 And the remainder of the sodomites, which were left in the days of his father Asa, he put away from out of the land.
約沙法特將他父親活著時，所留下的為神賣淫的男女，全從國內鏟除。
47 And there was no king in Edom: a deputy reigned.
當時在厄東沒有君王，只有總督代理。
48 Jehoshaphat made Tarshish-ships to go to Ophir for gold; but they went not, for the ships were broken at Ezion-geber.
約沙法特建造了塔爾史士船隻，為到敖非爾去運輸黃金，然而沒有到達，船隻就在厄茲雍革貝爾破壞了。
49 Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab to Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.
那時阿哈布的兒子阿哈齊雅對約沙法特說：「讓我的僕人同你的僕人一起坐船去好了! 」但是，約沙法特沒有同意。
50 And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
約沙法特與祖先同眠，與祖先一同葬在達味城；他的兒子約蘭繼位為王。阿哈齊雅為以色列王
51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; and he reigned two years over Israel.
猶大王約沙法特十七年，阿哈布的兒子阿哈齊雅，在撒瑪黎雅登極作以色列王；他作王統治以色列只有兩年，
52 And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
行了上主視為惡的事，隨從了他父親和他母親以及乃巴特的兒子雅洛貝罕，使以色列陷於罪惡的道路，
53 And he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked Jehovah the God of Israel to anger, according to all that his father had done.
服事敬拜了巴耳，激怒了上主，以色列的天主，全像他父親所作的一樣。
