< 1 Corinthians 4 >
1 Let a man so account of us as servants of Christ, and stewards of [the] mysteries of God.
Kuom mano, ji onego okwanwa kaka jotich Kristo, kendo kaka jorit weche mopondo mag Nyasaye.
2 Here, further, it is sought in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
To ongʼere ni joma omi tich mar rito nyaka bed jo-adiera.
3 But for me it is the very smallest matter that I be examined of you or of man's day. Nor do I even examine myself.
An awuon ok lichna ka uyala kata ka oyala e od bura moro amora mar dhano. Chutho kata an awuon ok anyal yalora kenda.
4 For I am conscious of nothing in myself; but I am not justified by this: but he that examines me is the Lord.
Chutho ok ane gimoro ma aketho, to mano ok onyisa ni aonge ketho. To Ruoth ema ngʼadona bura.
5 So that do not judge anything before [the] time, until the Lord shall come, who shall also both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and shall make manifest the counsels of hearts; and then shall each have [his] praise from God.
Kuom mano kik ungʼad bura kapok kinde ochopo, to rituru biro mar Ruoth. En owuon noel e lela gik masani opondo e mudho, kendo enonyis paro duto mopondo e chuny dhano. E kindeno ema ngʼato ka ngʼato noyud pak moa kuom Nyasaye.
6 Now these things, brethren, I have transferred, in their application, to myself and Apollos, for your sakes, that ye may learn in us the [lesson of] not [letting your thoughts go] above what is written, that ye may not be puffed up one for [such a] one against another.
Jowetena, koro asewuoyo kodu ka akonyora gi nyinga kod nying Apolo kaka ranyisi mondo uyud konyruok, kupuonjoru kuomwa tiend wach mawacho niya, “Kik ukal weche mondiki.” Mano biro miyo ok udhial ngʼato moloyo nyawadgi.
7 For who makes thee to differ? and what hast thou which thou hast not received? but if also thou hast received, why boastest thou as not receiving?
Angʼo momiyo iparo ni iber moloyo ngʼat machielo? Angʼo ma in-go mane ok omiyi? To ka gima in-gono nomiyi, to angʼo momiyo isungori mana ka gima ne ok omiyigo?
8 Already ye are filled; already ye have been enriched; ye have reigned without us; and I would that ye reigned, that we also might reign with you.
Un ero un gi gik moko duto mudwaro kendo usedoko jo-mwandu! Usebedo ruodhi, to wan uwewa oko! Mano kaka agombo ni ne ubed ruodhi adier mondo wan bende wabed ruodhi kaachiel kodu!
9 For I think that God has set us the apostles for the last, as appointed to death. For we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men.
Nikech nenorena ni Nyasaye oseketowa wan joote, ka joma odongʼ chien bangʼ ji, kendo mana ka joma osengʼadnegi buch tho mondo onegi e dier pap. Oseketwa wabedo joma piny duto rango kendo malaike kod ji bende rangowa.
10 We [are] fools for Christ's sake, but ye prudent in Christ: we weak, but ye strong: ye glorious, but we in dishonour.
Wan wafuwo nikech Kristo, to un to uriek ei Kristo! Wan wanyap, to un to uroteke! Un imiyou duongʼ, to wan to ochawa!
11 To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are in nakedness, and buffeted, and wander without a home,
Nyaka koroni kech kayowa kendo riyo oloyowa. Warwako lewni mokidhore okidhore, kendo isandowa malit, ka waonge kata kar dak.
12 and labour, working with our own hands. Railed at, we bless; persecuted, we suffer [it];
Watiyo matek gi lwetewa. Ka ikwongʼowa, to wagwedho joma kwongʼowa; kisandowa, to wayie isandowa asanda;
13 insulted, we entreat: we are become as [the] offscouring of the world, [the] refuse of all, until now.
bende ka iyanyowa, to wadwoko gi weche mangʼwon. Nyaka koroni wasedoko machal gi yugi mag piny; wachalo gik mowit oko ni onge tich!
14 Not [as] chiding do I write these things to you, but as my beloved children I admonish [you].
Ok andiknu wechegi mondo akuodgo wiu, to andikonugi mondo ajiwu, kaka nyithinda mageno.
15 For if ye should have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the glad tidings.
Kata obedo ni un gi ji alufu apar ma ritou e Kristo, to uonge gi wuone mangʼeny, nikech kuom Kristo Yesu, an ema ne abedo kaka wuonu kane ayalonu Injili.
16 I entreat you therefore, be my imitators.
Kuom mano, akwayou mondo ulu timna.
17 For this reason I have sent to you Timotheus, who is my beloved and faithful child in [the] Lord, who shall put you in mind of my ways [as] they [are] in Christ, according as I teach everywhere in every assembly.
Mano emomiyo aoronu Timotheo, ma en wuoda mahero, kendo ma ja-adiera kuom Ruoth. Obiro paronu kit ngimana kuom Kristo Yesu, ma ok opogore gi gik mapuonjo kuonde duto, e kanisa.
18 But some have been puffed up, as if I were not coming to you;
Jomoko kuomu sunga omako, mana ka gima ok abi biro iru.
19 but I will come quickly to you, if the Lord will; and I will know, not the word of those that are puffed up, but the power.
To abiro biro mapiyo ka Ruoth Nyasaye oyie, kendo kabiro, to anadwar ngʼeyo ok mana kaka josungago wuoyo kende, to bende napenjgi teko ma gin-go.
20 For the kingdom of God [is] not in word, but in power.
Nikech pinyruoth Nyasaye ok otenore mana kuom weche miwacho gidhok, to otenore kuom teko maduongʼ.
21 What will ye? that I come to you with a rod; or in love, and [in] a spirit of meekness?
Koro ere gima udwaro? Udwaro ni mondo abi iru katingʼo boka, koso abi gihera kod chuny mamuol?
