< 1 Corinthians 14 >

1 Follow after love, and be emulous of spiritual [manifestations], but rather that ye may prophesy.
Morom laga piche koribi aru atma laga bordan karone mon julibi, kintu asol bordan apnikhan bhal pora janibo laga to bhabobani ase.
2 For he that speaks with a tongue does not speak to men but to God: for no one hears; but in spirit he speaks mysteries.
Kilekoile jun ekjon bhasha alag pora kotha koi ase tai to manu ke kotha kora nohoi kintu Isor ke kori ase; kelemane kun nabuje, kintu tai lukaikene thaka kotha khan atma te koi ase.
3 But he that prophesies speaks to men [in] edification, and encouragement, and consolation.
Kintu ekjon kun bhabobani kore, taikhan manu khan ke utsah kore, aru taikhan manu khan laga mon aram aru dangor kori diye.
4 He that speaks with a tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies [the] assembly.
Jun alag bhasha laga kotha khan koi, taikhan to nijor laga biswas ke dangor kore, kintu jun bhabobani kore taikhan to girja laga biswas ke dangor kore.
5 Now I desire that ye should all speak with tongues, but rather that ye should prophesy. But greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, unless he interpret, that the assembly may receive edification.
Etiya moi laga itcha to apnikhan sob bhi alag bhasha te kotha koribo lage, kintu etu pora bhi bhabobani kora to he bisi itcha ase. Kilekoile jun bhabobani kore, taikhan to alag bhasha kora khan pora bhi dangor ase (notun bhasha laga motlob koi diya to girja te biswasi thaka khan ke uthabole nimite te ase).
6 And now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I shall speak to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching?
Kintu bhai khan, jodi moi apnikhan ke alag bhasha pora kotha kori kene ahe, apnikhan laga ki labh hobo, jitia tak moi etu bhasha laga asol motlob, nohoile bhi tai laga gyaan, nohoile bhi bhabobani, nohoile bhi sikhai dibole thaka kotha to apnikhan ke koi nadiye koile?
7 Even lifeless things giving a sound, whether pipe or harp, if they give not distinction to the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
Etu hosa ase utu jibon nathaka bajana khan juntu awaj khan ulai basuri hoilebi taar laga bajana hoilebi, jodi taikhan alag-alag awaj khan nadiye koile, kineka pora eitu khan ke janibo, basuri pora ki bajai ase aru taar laga bajana pora ki bajai ase?
8 For also, if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself for war?
Kilekoile jodi bhigul bajana pora najana alag awaj diye koile, kun pora etu huni kene lorai karone taiyari koribo?
9 Thus also ye with the tongue, unless ye give a distinct speech, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye will be speaking to the air.
Apuni khan bhi thik eneka nisena he ase. Jitia tak apnikhan bujhi bole bhasha nakoi, tinehoile kineka pora apnikhan laga kotha janibo? Kilekoile apnikhan to hawa ke kotha kora nisena hobo.
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of undistinguishable sound.
Etu prithibi te bisi kisim bhasha ase kowa to hosa ase, aru ekta bhasha bhi motlob nathaka to nai.
11 If therefore I do not know the power of the sound, I shall be to him that speaks a barbarian, and he that speaks a barbarian for me.
Jodi moi etu bhasha laga motlob ki ase najane koile, moi utu kotha kora manu nimite bahar desh laga manu nisena lagibo, aru ekjon jun amike kotha kori ase tai bhi ami nimite dusra desh laga manu nisena lagibo.
12 Thus ye also, since ye are desirous of spirits, seek that ye may abound for the edification of the assembly.
Etu nimite apnikhan jun atma laga bordan bisi lobole itcha kori thaki ase, taikhan utu bordan lobi juntu girja khan laga biswas ke bisi dangor kori dibo.
13 Wherefore let him that speaks with a tongue pray that he may interpret.
Eneka hoile jun ekjon alag bhasha pora kotha kore, tai etu bhasha buja bo paribole nimite prathana koribo lage.
14 For if I pray with a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Jodi moi alag bhasha pora prathana kore, moi laga atma bhi prathana kore, kintu ami laga bhabona to eku bhi nakore.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray also with the understanding; I will sing with the spirit, but I will sing also with the understanding.
Etu karone, ami ki koribo lagibo? Moi nijor laga atma logote prathana koribo, kintu moi nijor laga bhabona logote bhi prathana koribo. Moi nijor laga atma logote gana koribo, aru moi nijor laga bhabona logote bhi gana koribo.
16 Since otherwise, if thou blessest with [the] spirit, how shall he who fills the place of the simple [Christian] say Amen, at thy giving of thanks, since he does not know what thou sayest?
Nohoile, jodi apuni atma pora Isor ke dhanyavad kore, kintu ekjon nabuja manu to kineka apuni laga dhanyavad ke “Amen” kobo, kele koile apuni ki koi ase tai eku bhi nabuje?
17 For thou indeed givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
Apuni to pura mon pora dhanyavad di thakibo pare, kintu dusra manu to eku labh hobo napare.
18 I thank God I speak in a tongue more than all of you:
Ami Isor ke dhanyavad diye kele koile moi apnikhan pora bhi bisi alag bhasha te kotha kore.
19 but in [the] assembly I desire to speak five words with my understanding, that I may instruct others also, [rather] than ten thousand words in a tongue.
Kintu girja te dos hajar alag bhasha laga kotha kora pora to juntu pansta kotha ami laga bhabona pora dusra khan ke buja bole pare, etu he kobo.
20 Brethren, be not children in [your] minds, but in malice be babes; but in [your] minds be grown [men].
Bhai khan, apnikhan laga bhabona te bacha nisena nahobi. Etu pora to, biya kaam te bacha nisena hobi, hoile bhi bhabona te dangor manu nisena thakibi.
21 It is written in the law, By people of other tongues, and by strange lips, will I speak to this people; and neither thus will they hear me, saith the Lord.
Niom laga kitab te eneka likhi kene ase, “Alag bhasha kora manu khan aru alag kotha kowa manu khan ke loi kene, Moi etu manu khan ke kotha koribo, Kintu eneka korile bhi taikhan moike nahunibo, Probhu he koise.”
22 So that tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to unbelievers; but prophecy, not to unbelievers, but to those who believe.
Etu nimite, alag bhasha kora khan to ekta chihna ase, biswasi khan karone nohoi, kintu abiswasi khan nimite; hoilebi bhabobani kora khan to abiswasi khan nimite nohoi, kintu biswasi khan nimite ase.
23 If therefore the whole assembly come together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and simple [persons] enter in, or unbelievers, will not they say ye are mad?
Jodi, etu karone, pura biswasi khan eke logote ekta jagate joma hoi aru taikhan sob alag bhasha te kotha kori bole shuru hoijai, kintu kunba abiswasi aru bordan nathaka manu khan ahe, taikhan ke dikhi kene apnikhan pagala hoise nakobo naki?
24 But if all prophesy, and some unbeliever or simple [person] come in, he is convicted of all, he is judged of all;
Kintu jodi apnikhan sob bhabobani kori thakise, kintu kunba bordan nathaka nohoile bhi abiswasi apnikhan logote ahe, taikhan laga paapkhan sob apnikhan pora koi dibo aru apnikhan laga kotha pora taikhan ke bisar koribo,
25 the secrets of his heart are manifested; and thus, falling upon [his] face, he will do homage to God, reporting that God is indeed amongst you.
monte lukai kene thaka janai dibo aru tai athukari kene Isor ke aradhana koribo, janai dibo, “Isor hosa bhi apnikhan laga majot te ase.”
26 What is it then, brethren? whenever ye come together, each [of you] has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to edification.
Moi laga bhai khan apuni khan ki koribo lage? Jitia apuni khan eke logote joma kore ekjon gana kore, ekjon sikhai, ekjon Isor laga kotha koi, ekjon alag bhasha koi nahoile alag bhasha laga motlob bujhai diye. Eitu khan sob to girja age jabo nimite ase.
27 If any one speak with a tongue, [let it be] two, or at the most three, and separately, and let one interpret;
Jitia ekjon alag bhasa pora kotha koi, bisi hoilebi duijon nahoile tinjon he kobole lage, aru ekjon to etu laga motlob kobo lage.
28 but if there be no interpreter, let him be silent in [the] assembly, and let him speak to himself and to God.
Hoilebi jitia motlob koi dibole manu nathakile, etu manu ke girja te chup kori dibi. Aru tai nijorke Isor logote kotha kori bole dibi.
29 And let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
Duijon nahoile tinjon bhabobadi ke kobole dibi, aru etu ki koise dusra ke faisla kori bole dibi.
30 But if there be a revelation to another sitting [there], let the first be silent.
Kintu jodi ekta kotha Isor pora dusra bohi thaka ekjon ke diye, tinehoile age ula ke chup hobole dibi.
31 For ye can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all be encouraged.
Kilekoile apnikhan sob ekta piche ekta kori kene bhabobani koribo pare, titia sob bujhi bole paribo aru utsah pabo.
32 And spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
Hosa pora bhi bhabobadi khan laga atma to bhabobadi khan nijor laga nichete kaam kore.
33 For God is not [a God] of disorder but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
Kilekoile Isor to ulta-polti laga Isor nohoi, kintu shanti laga ase. Sob pobitro manu khan laga girja te,
34 Let [your] women be silent in the assemblies, for it is not permitted to them to speak; but to be in subjection, as the law also says.
mahila khan ke girja bhitor te chup thaki bole dibi. Kilekoile taikhan ke kotha kori bole agya nai, kintu taikhan adhikar thaka manu nichete thakibo lage, Moses laga niyom te koise.
35 But if they wish to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is a shame for a woman to speak in assembly.
Kintu jodi taikhan sikhi bole itcha hoile, taikhan laga nijor mota ke ghor te hudibole dibi, kele koile ekjon mahila pora girja ghor te kotha kora to sorom laga kotha ase.
36 Did the word of God go out from you, or did it come to you only?
Na Isor laga kotha to apnikhan pora he ulaise? Na khali apnikhan he etu paise?
37 If any one thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognise the things that I write to you, that it is [the] Lord's commandment.
Jodi kunba manu nijorke bhabobadi hobole nohoile bhi bordan paikena ase koi kene bhabe, tinehoile moi apnikhan ke itu chithi te likhi ase etu sob to Isor laga hukum ase koi kene bujhi bo lage.
38 But if any be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Kintu jodi kunba manu murkho nisena thake, taike murkho he thaki bole dibi.
39 So that, brethren, desire to prophesy, and do not forbid the speaking with tongues.
Etu nimite, bhai khan, bhabobani korate pura mon dibi, aru kunke bhi alag bhasha kobole narukhabi.
40 But let all things be done comelily and with order.
Kintu sob kaam to bhal aru thik niyom pora koribo lage.
