1 Adam, Seth, Enosh,
आदम, सेत, उनूस,
2 Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared,
किनान, महलीएल, यारिद,
3 Enoch, Methushelah, Lemech,
हनूक, मतूसिलह, लमक,
4 Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
नूह, सिम, हाम, और याफ़त।
5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
बनी याफ़त: जुमर और माजूज और मादी और यावान और तूबल और मसक और तीरास हैं।
6 — And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
और बनी जुमर अश्कनाज और रीफ़त और तुजरमा है।
7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.
और बनी यावान, इलिसा और तरसीस, कित्ती और दूदानी हैं।
8 The sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim, Phut and Canaan.
बनी हाम: कूश और मिस्र, फ़ूत और कनान हैं।
9 — And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
बनी कूश: सबा और हवीला और सबता और रा'माह सब्तका हैं और बनी रामाह सबाह और ददान हैं।
10 And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.
कूश से नमरूद पैदा हुआ; ज़मीन पर पहले वही बहादुरी करने लगा।
11 — And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
और मिस्र से लूदी और अनामी और लिहाबी और नफ़तूही,
12 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.
और फ़तरूसी और कसलूही जिनसे फ़िलिस्ती निकले, कफ़्तूरी पैदा हुए।
13 — And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
और कनान से सैदा जो उसका पहलौठा था, और हित्त,
14 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
और यबूसी और अमोरी और जिरजाशी,
15 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
और हव्वी और 'अर्क़ी और सीनी,
16 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
और अरवादी और सिमारी और हिमाती पैदा हुए।
17 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
बनी सिम: 'ऐलाम और असूर और अरफ़कसद और लूद और अराम और 'ऊज़ और हूल और जतर और मसक हैं।
18 — And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
और अरफ़कसद से सिलह पैदा हुआ और सिलह से इब्र पैदा हुआ।
19 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
और इब्र से दो बेटे पहले का नाम फ़लज था क्यूँकि उसके अय्याम में ज़मीन बटी, और उसके भाई का नाम युक्तान था।
20 And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
और युक्तान से अलमूदाद और सलफ़ और हसर मावत और इराख़,
21 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
और हदूराम और ऊज़ाल और दिक़ला,
22 and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
और 'ऐबाल और अबीमाएल और सबा,
23 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.
और ओफ़ीर और हवीला और यूबाब पैदा हुए; यह सब बनी युक्तान हैं।
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
सिम, अरफ़कसद, सिलह,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
इब्र, फ़लज, र’ऊ,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
सरुज, नहूर, तारह,
27 Abram: the same is Abraham.
इब्रहाम या'नी अब्रहाम।
28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
अब्रहाम के बेटे: इस्हाक़ और इस्मा'ईल थे।
29 These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;
उनकी औलाद यह हैं: इस्मा'ईल का पहलौठा नबायोत उसके बाद कीदार और अदबिएल और मिबसाम,
30 Mishma and Dumah; Massa, Hadad, and Tema;
मिशमा'अ और दूमा और मसा, हदद और तेमा,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.
यतूर, नाफ़ीस, क़िदमा; यह बनीइस्मा'ईल हैं।
32 — And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
और अब्रहाम की हरम क़तूरा के बेटे यह हैं: उसके बत्न से ज़िमरान युकसान और मिदान और मिदियान और इस्बाक़ और सूख़ पैदा हुए और बनी युक़सान: सिबा और ददान हैं।
33 And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.
और बनी मिदियान: 'एफ़ा और 'इफ़्र और हनूक और अबीदा'अ इल्दू'आ हैं; यह सब बनी क़तूरा हैं।
34 And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
और अब्रहाम से इस्हाक़ पैदा हुआ। बनी इस्हाक़: 'ऐसौ और इस्राईल थे।
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
बनी 'ऐसौ: इलिफ़ज़ और र'ऊएल और य'ऊस और यालाम और क़ोरह हैं।
36 — The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
बनी इलिफ़ज़ तेमान और ओमर और सफ़ी और जा'ताम, क़नज़, और तिम्ना' और 'अमालीक़ हैं।
37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
बनी र'ऊएल: नहत, ज़ारह, सम्मा और मिज़्ज़ा हैं।
38 And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
और बनी श'ईर: लोतान और सोबल और सबा'ऊन और 'अना और दीसोन और एसर और दीसान हैं।
39 — And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.
और हूरी और होमाम लूतान के बेटे थे, और तिम्ना' लोतान की बहन थी।
40 — The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. — And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.
बनी सोबल: 'अल्यान और मानहत 'एबाल सफ़ी और ओनाम हैं। अय्याह और 'अना सबा'ऊन के बेटे थे।
41 — The sons of Anah: Dishon. — And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.
और 'अना का बेटा दीसोन था; और हमरान और इश्बान और यित्रान और किरान दीसोन के बेटे थे।
42 — The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, [and] Jaakan. — The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
और एसर के बेटे: बिलहान और ज़ा'वान और या'क़ान थे और ऊज़ और अरान दीसान के बेटे थे।
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: — Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
और जिन बादशाहों ने मुल्क — ए — अदोम पर उस वक़्त हुकूमत की जब बनी — इस्राईल पर कोई बादशाह हुक्मरान न था वह यह हैं: बाला' बिन ब'ओर; उसके शहर का नाम दिन्हाबा था।
44 And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
और बाला' मर गया और यूबाब बिन ज़ारह जो बुसराही था उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ।
45 And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
और यूबाब मर गया और हशाम जो तेमान के 'इलाक़े का था उसकी जगह बादशाह हो हुआ।
46 And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
और हशाम मर गया और हदद बिन बिदद, जिसने मिदियानियों को मोआब के मैदान में मारा उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ और उसके शहर का नाम 'अवीत था।
47 And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
और हदद मर गया और शमला जो मसरिक़ा का था, उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ।
48 And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.
और शमला मर गया और साउल जो दरिया — ए — फ़रात के पास के रहोबोत का बाशिंदा था उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ।
49 And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
और साउल मर गया और बा'ल — हनान बिन अकबूर उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ।
50 And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
और बा'ल — हनान मर गया और हदद उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ; उसके शहर का नाम फ़ा'ई और उसकी बीवी का नाम महेतबेल था, जो मतरिद बिन्त मेज़ाहाब की बेटी थी।
51 And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
और हदद मर गया। फिर यह अदोम के रईस हुए: रईस तिम्ना’, रईस अलियाह, रईस यतीत,
52 chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
रईस ओहलीबामा, रईस ऐला, रईस फ़ीनोन,
53 chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
रईस क़नज़, रईस तेमान, रईस मिब्सार,
54 chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
रईस मज्दिएल, रईस 'इराम; अदोम के रईस यही हैं।
