5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Сини Яфетові: Ґомер, і Маґоґ, і Мадай, і Яван, і Тувал, і Мешех, і Тірас.
6 — And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
А сини Ґомерові: Ашкеназ і Діфат, і Тоґарма.
7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.
А сини Яванові: Еліша й Таршіша, кіттяни й роданяни.
8 The sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim, Phut and Canaan.
Сини Хамові: Куш і Міцра́їм, Пут і Ханаан.
9 — And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
А сини Кушеві: Шева, і Хавіла, і Савта, і Раама, і Савтеха. А сини Рамині: Шева й Дедан.
10 And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.
А Куш породи́в Німрода, — він зачав бути ве́летом на землі.
11 — And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
А Міцраїм породив лудян, і анам'ян, і легав'ян, і нафтух'ян,
12 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.
і патрусян, і каслух'ян, що вийшли звідти филисти́мляни, і кафторян.
13 — And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
А Ханаан породив Сидона, свого первородженого, і Хета,
14 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
і євусеянина, і амореянина, і ґірґашеянина,
15 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
і хіввеянина, і аркеянина, і сінеянина,
16 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
і арвадянина, і цемарянина, і хаматянина.
17 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
Сини Симові: Елам, і Ашшу́р, і Арпахшад, і Луд, і Ара́м. Сини Арамові: і Уц, і Хул, і Ґетер, і Мешех.
18 — And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
А Арпахшад породив Шалаха, а Шалах породив Евера.
19 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
А Еверові народилося двоє синів, — ім'я́ одно́му Пелеґ, бо за його днів була поділена земля, а ім'я́ брата його — Йоктан.
20 And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
А Йоктан породи́в Алмодада, і Шелефа, і Хацармавета, і Єраха,
21 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
і Гадорама, і Узала, і Діклу,
22 and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
і Евала, і Авімаїла, і Шеву,
23 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.
і Офіра, і Хавілу, і Йовава, — усі вони сини Йоктанові.
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
Сим, Арпахшад, Шелах,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
Пелеґ, Реу,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
Серуґ, Нахор, Терах,
27 Abram: the same is Abraham.
Аврам, він же Авраа́м.
28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
Сини Авраамові: Ісак та Ізмаї́л.
29 These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;
Оце їхні наща́дки: первороджений Ізмаї́лів Невайот, і Кедар, і Адбеїл, і Мівсам,
30 Mishma and Dumah; Massa, Hadad, and Tema;
Мішма, і Дума, Масса, Хадад, і Тема,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.
Єтур, Нафіш, і Кедема, — оце вони сини Ізмаї́лові.
32 — And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
А сини Кетури, Авраамової наложниці: вона породила Зімрана, і Йокшана, і Медана, і Мідіяна, і Їшбака, і Шуаха. А Йокшанові сини: Шева й Дедан.
33 And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.
А Мідіянові сини: Ефа, і Ефер, і Ханох, і Авіда, і Елдаа, — ці всі сини Кетури.
34 And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
А Авраа́м породив Ісака. Ісакові сини: Ісав і Ізра́їль.
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
Ісавові сини: Еліфаз, Реуїл, і Єуш, і Йалам, і Кора.
36 — The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
Сини Еліфазові: Теман і Омар, Цефі й Ґатам, Кеназ і Тімна, і Амалик.
37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
Сини Реуїлові: Нахат, Зерах, Шамма й Мізза.
38 And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
А сини Сеїрові: Лотан, і Шовал, і Ців'он, і Ана, і Дішон, і Ецер, і Дішан.
39 — And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.
А сини Лотанові: Хорі, і Гомам, і Ахот, Лотан, Тімна.
40 — The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. — And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.
Сини Шовалові: Ал'ян, і Манахат, і Евал, Шефі, і Онам. А сини Ців'онові: Айя й Ана.
41 — The sons of Anah: Dishon. — And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.
А сини Анині: Дішон. А сини Дішонові: Хамран, і Ешбан, і Їтран, і Керан.
42 — The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, [and] Jaakan. — The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
Сини Ецерові: Білган, і Зааван, Яакан. Сини Дішонові: Уц та Аран.
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: — Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
А оце царі, що царювали в Едо́мовому кра́ї перед зацарюванням царя в Ізраїлевих синів: Бела, Беорів син, а ім'я́ його міста — Дінгава.
44 And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
І помер Бела, а замість нього зацарював Йовав, Зерахів син з Боцри.
45 And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
І помер Йовав, а замість нього зацарював Хушам із кра́ю теманянина.
46 And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
І помер Хушам, а замість нього зацарював Гадад, Бедадів син, що побив був Мідіяна на Моавському полі, а ім'я́ місту його Авіт.
47 And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
І помер Гадад, а замість нього зацарював Самла з Масреки.
48 And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.
І помер Самла, а замість нього зацарював Саул з Рехевот-Ганнагару.
49 And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
І помер Саул, а замість нього зацарював Баал-Ханан, син Ахборів.
50 And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
І помер Баал-Ханан, а замість нього зацарював Гадад, а ім'я́ його міста — Раї, а ім'я́ жінки його — Мегетав'їл, дочка Матреда, дочки́ Ме-Загавової.
51 And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
І помер Гадад. І були потому провідники́ Едому: провідни́к Тімна, провідник Ал'я, провідник Єтет,
52 chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
провідник Оголівама, провідник Ела, провідник Пінон,
53 chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
провідник Кеназ, провідник Теман, провідник Мівцар,
54 chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
провідни́к Маґдіїл, провідник Ірам, — оце провідники́ Едому.
