1 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
Ilmaan Lewwii: Geershoon, Qohaatii fi Meraar.
2 And the sons of Kohath: Amram, Jizhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
Ilmaan Qohaati: Amraam, Yizihaar, Kebroonii fi Uziiʼeel.
3 And the children of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
Ijoolleen Amraam: Aroon, Musee fi Miiriyaam. Ilmaan Aroon: Naadaab, Abiihuu, Eleʼaazaarii fi Iitaamaar.
4 Eleazar begot Phinehas; Phinehas begot Abishua,
Eleʼaazaar abbaa Fiinehaas; Fiinehaas immoo abbaa Abiishuuwaa ti;
5 and Abishua begot Bukki, and Bukki begot Uzzi,
Abiishuuwaan abbaa Buukii ti; Bukiin immoo abbaa Uzii ti;
6 and Uzzi begot Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begot Meraioth;
Uzii abbaa Zeraayaa ti; Zaraaʼiyaan abbaa Meraayootii ti;
7 Meraioth begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub,
Meraayoot abbaa Amariyaa ti; Amariyaan abbaa Ahiixuubii ti;
8 and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Ahimaaz,
Ahiixuub abbaa Zaadoqii ti; Zaadoq abbaa Ahiimaʼazii ti;
9 and Ahimaaz begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Johanan,
Ahiimaʼaz abbaa Azaariyaa ti; Azaariyaa abbaa Yoohaanaanii ti;
10 and Johanan begot Azariah (he is it that exercised the priesthood in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem);
Yoohaanaan abbaa Azaariyaa ti; inni luba taʼee mana qulqullummaa kan Solomoon Yerusaalemitti ijaare keessa tajaajilaa ture.
11 and Azariah begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub,
Azaariyaa abbaa Amariyaa ti; Amariyaan abbaa Ahiixuubii ti;
12 and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Shallum,
Ahiixuub abbaa Zaadoqii ti; Zaadoq abbaa Shaluumii ti;
13 and Shallum begot Hilkijah, and Hilkijah begot Azariah,
Shaluum abbaa Hilqiyaa ti; Hilqiyaa abbaa Azaariyaa ti;
14 and Azariah begot Seraiah, and Seraiah begot Jehozadak,
Azaariyaa abbaa Seraayaa ti; Seraayaan abbaa Yehoozaadaaqii ti.
15 and Jehozadak went away, when Jehovah carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
Yeroo Waaqayyo akka sabni Yihuudaatii fi Yerusaalem Nebukadnezariin boojiʼamu godhetti Yehoozaadaaqis boojiʼamee fudhatame.
16 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
Ilmaan Lewwii: Geershoom, Qohaatii fi Meraarii.
17 And these are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
Maqaan Ilmaan Geershoom kanaa dha: Loobeenii fi Shimeʼii.
18 And the sons of Kohath: Amram, and Jizhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
Ilmaan Qohaati: Amraam, Yizihaar, Kebroonii fi Uziiʼeel.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. And these are the families of Levi according to their fathers.
Ilmaan Meraarii: Mahilii fi Muusii. Isaan kunneen Lewwota balbala balbala abbootii isaaniitiin lakkaaʼamanii dha:
20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,
Balbala Geershoom keessaa: Ilma isaa Loobeen, ilma isaa Yahaati, ilma isaa Zimaati,
21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeathrai his son.
ilma isaa Yooʼaa, ilma isaa Iddoo, ilma isaa Zeraa fi ilma isaa Yeʼaateraayi.
22 The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,
Ilmaan Qohaati: Ilma isaa Amiinaadaab, ilma isaa Qooraahi, ilma isaa Asiir,
23 Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,
ilma isaa Elqaanaa, ilma isaa Ebiyaasaaf, ilma isaa Asiir,
24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Saul his son.
ilma isaa Tahaat, ilma isaa Uuriiʼeel, ilma isaa Uziyaa fi ilma isaa Shaawul.
25 And the sons of Elkanah: Amasai and Ahimoth.
Ilmaan Elqaanaa: Amaasaayi, Ahiimooti,
26 Elkanah, — the sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nahath his son,
ilma isaa Elqaanaa, ilma isaa Zoofayi, ilma isaa Naahat,
27 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.
ilma isaa Eliiyaab, ilma isaa Yeroohaam, ilma isaa Elqaanaa fi ilma isaa Saamuʼeel.
28 And the sons of Samuel: the firstborn Vashni and Abijah.
Ilmaan Saamuʼeel: Ilma isaa Yooʼeel hangaftichaa fi ilma isaa lammaffaa Abiyaa.
29 The sons of Merari: Mahli; Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzza his son,
Ilmaan Meraarii: Mahilii, ilma isaa Loobeen, ilma isaa Shimeʼii, ilma isaa Uzaa,
30 Shimea his son, Haggijah his son, Asaiah his son.
ilma isaa Shimeʼaa, ilma isaa Hagiyaa fi ilma isaa Asaayaa.
31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of Jehovah after that the ark was in rest.
Namoonni erga taabonni dhufee achi boqotee booddee Daawit akka isaan faarfannaadhaan mana Waaqayyoo keessa tajaajilaniif muude kanneenii dha.
32 And they ministered before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting with singing, until Solomon had built the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem; and they attended to their office according to their order.
Isaanis hamma Solomoon Yerusaalem keessatti mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo ijaaretti dunkaana qulqulluu, dunkaana wal gaʼii duratti faarfannaadhaan tajaajilaa turan. Isaanis akkuma seera isaaniif kenname sanaatti hojii isaanii hojjechaa turan.
33 And these are they that attended, and their sons: Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,
Maqaan namoota ilmaan isaanii wajjin tajaajilanii kanneenii dha: Ilmaan Qohaatotaa keessaa: Heemaan Faarfataa, ilma Yooʼeel, ilma Saamuʼeel,
34 the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,
ilma Elqaanaa, ilma Yeroohaam, ilma Eliiʼeel, ilma Tooʼaa,
35 the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,
ilma Zuufi, ilma Elqaanaa, ilma Mahat, ilma Amaasaayi,
36 the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,
ilma Elqaanaa, ilma Yooʼeel, ilma Azaariyaa, ilma Sefaaniyaa,
37 the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,
ilma Tahaat, ilma Asiir, ilma Ebiyaasaaf, ilma Qooraahi,
38 the son of Jizhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
ilma Yizihaar, ilma Qohaati, ilma Lewwii, ilma Israaʼel;
39 And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand: Asaph, the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea,
akkasumas Asaaf obboleessi Heemaan karaa mirgaatiin dhaabata ture: Asaaf ilma Berekiyaa, ilma Shimeʼaa,
40 the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchijah,
ilma Miikaaʼel, ilma Baʼaseeyaa, ilma Malkiyaa,
41 the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,
ilma Etnii, ilma Zeraa, ilma Adaayaa,
42 the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,
ilma Eetaan, ilma Zimaa, ilma Shimeʼii,
43 the son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.
ilma Yahaati, ilma Geershoom, ilma Lewwii;
44 And their brethren the sons of Merari were on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,
karaa bitaa isaatiin immoo warri isaan wajjin turan gosa Meraarii keessaa: Eetaan ilma Qiisaa, ilma Abdii, ilma Maluuk,
45 the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkijah,
ilma Hashabiyaa, ilma Amasiyaa, ilma Hilqiyaa,
46 the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer,
ilma Amzii, ilma Baanii, ilma Shemeer,
47 the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.
ilma Mahilii, ilma Muusii, ilma Meraarii, ilma Lewwii.
48 And their brethren the Levites were given for all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God.
Obboloonni isaanii Lewwonni akka hojii dunkaana qulqulluu mana Waaqaa hunda hojjetaniif ramadamanii turan.
49 And Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt-offering, and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa garuu akkuma waan Museen garbichi Waaqaa sun ajajee ture hundaatti hojii Iddoo Iddoo Hunda Caalaa Qulqulluu taʼe sanaatiif, sababii Israaʼeliitiifis araara buusuudhaaf iddoo aarsaa kan aarsaa gubamuutii fi iddoo aarsaa ixaanaa irratti aarsaawwan dhiʼeessaa turan.
50 And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,
Ilmaan Aroon kanneenii dha: Ilma isaa Eleʼaazaar, ilma isaa Fiinehaas, ilma isaa Abiishuuwaa,
51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
ilma isaa Bukii, ilma isaa Uzii, ilma isaa Zeraayaa,
52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
ilma isaa Meraayoot, ilma isaa Amariyaa, ilma isaa Ahiixuub,
53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
ilma isaa Zaadoqii fi ilma isaa Ahiimaʼaz.
54 And these are their dwelling-places according to their encampments, within their borders. For the sons of Aaron, of the family of the Kohathites, for theirs was the lot;
Sababii ixaan jalqabaa isaaniif baʼeef iddoowwan kunneen Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa kanneen balbala Qohaati keessaa dhufaniif ni kennaman; iddoowwan qubata isaanii kanneen akka biyya isaanii taʼaniif isaaniif ramadamanii dha:
55 and they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;
Kebroon isheen biyya Yihuudaa keessaatii fi lafti dheedaa kan naannoo isheetti argamtu isaaniif ni kennaman.
56 but the fields of the city, and the hamlets thereof gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
Lafti qotiisaatii fi gandoonni naannoo Kebrooniitti argaman garuu Kaaleb ilma Yefuneetiif ni kennaman.
57 And to the children of Aaron they gave the city of refuge, Hebron; and Libnah and its suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,
Ilmaan Arooniif immoo magaalaawwan itti baqatan Kebroon, Libnaa, Yatiir, Eshtimoʼaa,
58 and Hilen and its suburbs, Debir and its suburbs,
Hiileen, Debiir,
59 and Ashan and its suburbs, and Beth-shemesh and its suburbs;
Ashaan, Yootaa fi Beet Shemeshitu lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin kenname.
60 and, out of the tribe of Benjamin, Geba and its suburbs, and Allemeth and its suburbs, and Anathoth and its suburbs: all their cities, thirteen cities, according to their families.
Qooda gosa Beniyaam keessaa immoo Gibeʼoon, Gebaa, Alemetii fi Anaatootittu lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin ni kennameef. Magaalaawwan balbalawwan Qohaatotaatiif kennaman kunneen walumaa galatti kudha sadii turan.
61 And to the children of Kohath that remained [were given] by lot out of the families of the tribe [of Ephraim and of the tribe of Dan and] of the half tribe, half Manasseh, ten cities.
Ilmaan Qohaati kanneen hafaniif immoo balbala walakkaa gosa Minaasee irraa magaalaawwan kudhanitu ixaadhaan kennameef.
62 And to the children of Gershom according to their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
Ilmaan Geershoomiitiif immoo qooda Yisaakor irraa, qooda Aasheer irraa, qooda Niftaalemiitii fi qooda Minaasee kan Baashaanitti argamu irraa magaalaawwan kudha sadii akkuma gosa gosa isaaniitti kennaman.
63 To the children of Merari [were given] by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
Ilmaan Meraariitiif qooda gosa Ruubeen irraa, qooda gosa Gaadiitii fi qooda gosa Zebuuloon irraa magaalaawwan kudha lama akkuma balbala balbala isaaniitti ni kennaman.
64 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities and their suburbs.
Akkasiin Israaʼeloonni magaalaawwan kanneen lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin Lewwotaaf ni kennan.
65 And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which were mentioned by name.
Gosa Yihuudaa irraa, gosa Simiʼooniitii fi gosa Beniyaam irraa magaalaawwan maqaan isaanii armaan olitti dhaʼame sana ixaadhaan ni kennaniif.
66 And to the families of the children of Kohath who had the cities of their territory out of the tribe of Ephraim,
Maatiiwwan Qohaati tokko tokkos qooda gosa Efreem keessaa magaalaawwan jireenyaa argatanii turan.
67 they gave the city of refuge, Shechem and its suburbs in mount Ephraim; and Gezer and its suburbs,
Biyya gaaraa Efreem keessatti magaalaawwan itti baqatan Sheekem, Geezir,
68 and Jokmeam and its suburbs, and Beth-horon and its suburbs,
Yoqemiʼaam, Beet Horoon,
69 and Ajalon and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs;
Ayaaloonii fi Gat Rimoon lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin kennaniif.
70 and out of the half tribe of Manasseh: Aner and its suburbs, and Bileam and its suburbs, — for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
Akkasumas Israaʼeloonni walakkaa qooda gosa Minaasee irraa Aanerii fi Bileʼaam lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin balbalawwan Qohaati kanneen hafaniif ni kennan.
71 To the children of Gershom [were given] out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh: Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Ashtaroth and its suburbs;
Ilmaan Geershoom immoo: Balbala walakkaa gosa Minaasee irraa Goolaan ishee Baashaan keessaa sanaa fi Ashtaaroti lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin ni argatan;
72 and out of the tribe of Issachar: Kedesh and its suburbs, Dobrath and its suburbs,
gosa Yisaakor irraa Qaadesh, Daaberaati,
73 and Ramoth and its suburbs, and Anem and its suburbs;
Raamootii fi Aanem lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin ni argatan;
74 and out of the tribe of Asher: Mashal and its suburbs, and Abdon and its suburbs,
gosa Aasheer irraa Maashaal, Abdoon,
75 and Hukok and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs;
Huuqooqii fi Rehoob lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin ni argatan;
76 and out of the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammon and its suburbs, and Kirjathaim and its suburbs.

77 To the children of Merari that remained [were given] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono and its suburbs, [and] Tabor and its suburbs;
Namoonni gosa Meraarii jechuunis warri Lewwotaa kanneen hafan qooda kanaa gadii argatan: Gosa Zebuuloon irraa Yooqniʼaam, Qartaa, Rimoonii fi Taaboorin lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin argatan;
78 and on the other side of the Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, out of the tribe of Reuben: Bezer in the wilderness and its suburbs, and Jahzah and its suburbs,
gosa Ruubeen kan baʼa Yerikootti Yordaanosiin gama jiru irraa Bezer ishee gammoojjii keessatti argamtu, Yaahizaa,
79 and Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs;
Qidemootii fi Meefiʼaati lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin ni argatan.
80 and out of the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs,
Gosa Gaad irraa Raamooti ishee Giliʼaad keessaa, Mahanayiim,
81 and Heshbon and its suburbs, and Jaazer and its suburbs.
Heshboonii fi Yaʼizeer lafa dheeda isaanii wajjin ni argatan.
