1 Chronicles 15
1 And he made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and spread a tent for it.
௧அவன் தனக்கு தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் வீடுகளைக் கட்டி, தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்கு ஒரு இடத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, அதற்கு ஒரு கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டான்.
2 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites, for them has Jehovah chosen to carry the ark of God, and to serve him for ever.
௨பிறகு தாவீது: லேவியர்கள் தவிர வேறொருவரும் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை எடுக்கக் கூடாது; தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை எடுக்கவும், என்றைக்கும் அவருக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்யவும், அவர்களையே யெகோவா தெரிந்துகொண்டார் என்றான்.
3 And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah to its place that he had prepared for it.
௩அப்படியே யெகோவாவுடைய பெட்டிக்குத் தான் ஆயத்தப்படுத்தின அதின் இடத்திற்கு அதைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி, தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் எருசலேமிலே கூடிவரச்செய்தான்.
4 And David gathered the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
௪ஆரோனின் சந்ததிகளையும்,
5 of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty;
௫லேவியர்களாகிய கோகாத் சந்ததியில் பிரபுவாகிய ஊரியேலையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய நூற்றிருபதுபேரையும்,
6 of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty;
௬மெராரியின் சந்ததியில் பிரபுவாகிய அசாயாவையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய இருநூற்றிருபதுபேரையும்,
7 of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty;
௭கெர்சோன் மகன்களில் பிரபுவாகிய யோவேலையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய நூற்றுமுப்பதுபேரையும்,
8 of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred;
௮எலிசாபான் மகன்களில் பிரபுவாகிய செமாயாவையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய இருநூறுபேரையும்,
9 of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty;
௯எப்ரோன் சந்ததியில் பிரபுவாகிய ஏலியேலையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய எண்பதுபேரையும்,
10 of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twelve.
௧0ஊசியேல் சந்ததியில் பிரபுவாகிய அம்மினதாபையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய நூற்றுப்பன்னிரெண்டு பேரையும் தாவீது கூடிவரச்செய்தான்.
11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab;
௧௧பின்பு தாவீது ஆசாரியர்களாகிய சாதோக்கையும், அபியத்தாரையும், லேவியர்களாகிய ஊரியேல், அசாயா, யோவேல், செமாயா, ஏலியேல், அம்மினதாப் என்பவர்களையும் அழைத்து,
12 and he said to them, Ye are the chief fathers of the Levites; hallow yourselves, ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of Jehovah the God of Israel to [the place that] I have prepared for it.
௧௨அவர்களை நோக்கி: லேவியர்களில் நீங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய சந்ததிகளின் தலைவர்கள், நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பெட்டியை அதற்கு நான் ஆயத்தம்செய்த இடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவரும்படி, உங்களையும் உங்களுடைய சகோதரர்களையும் பரிசுத்தம்செய்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
13 For because ye did [it] not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
௧௩முதலில் நீங்கள் அதை சுமக்காததாலும், நாம் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை நியாயமானபடி தேடாமற்போனதாலும், அவர் நமக்குள்ளே அடிவிழச்செய்தார் என்றான்.
14 So the priests and the Levites hallowed themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah the God of Israel.
௧௪ஆசாரியர்களும் லேவியர்களும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பெட்டியைக் கொண்டுவரத் தங்களைச் சுத்தம்செய்துகொண்டார்கள்.
15 And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves upon them, as Moses had commanded according to the word of Jehovah.
௧௫பின்பு லேவியர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, மோசே கற்பித்தபடி தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை அதின் தண்டுகளினால் தங்கள் தோள்மேல் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
16 And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren, the singers, with instruments of music, lutes, and harps, and cymbals, that they should sound aloud, lifting up the voice with joy.
௧௬தாவீது லேவியர்களின் பிரபுக்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உங்கள் சகோதரர்களாகிய பாடகர்களைத் தம்புரு சுரமண்டலம் கைத்தாளம் முதலிய கீதவாத்தியங்கள் முழங்க, தங்கள் சத்தத்தை உயர்த்தி, சந்தோஷம் உண்டாகப் பாடும்படி நிறுத்தவேண்டும் என்று சொன்னான்.
17 And the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
௧௭அப்படியே லேவியர்கள் யோவேலின் மகனாகிய ஏமானையும், அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களில் பெரகியாவின் மகனாகிய ஆசாப்பையும், மெராரியின் சந்ததியான தங்களுடைய சகோதரர்களில் குஷாயாவின் மகனாகிய ஏத்தானையும்,
18 and with them their brethren of the second [rank], Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers;
௧௮இவர்களோடு இரண்டாவது வரிசையாகத் தங்களுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய சகரியா, பேன், யாசியேல், செமிரமோத், யெகியேல், உன்னி, எலியாப், பெனாயா, மாசெயா, மத்தித்தியா, எலிப்பெலேகு, மிக்னேயா, ஓபேத்ஏதோம், ஏயெல் என்னும் வாசல் காவலாளர்களையும் நிறுத்தினார்கள்.
19 and the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, to sound aloud with cymbals of brass;
௧௯பாடகர்களாகிய ஏமானும், ஆசாப்பும், ஏத்தானும், வெண்கல தொனியுள்ள கைத்தாளங்களை ஒலிக்கச்செய்து பாடினார்கள்.
20 and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with lutes on Alamoth;
௨0சகரியா, ஆசியேல், செமிரமோத், யெகியேல், உன்னி, எலியாப், மாசெயா, பெனாயா என்பவர்கள் அல்மோத் என்னும் இசையில் பாடி, தம்புருக்களை வாசித்தார்கள்.
21 and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to lead [the singing].
௨௧மத்தித்தியா, எலிப்பெலேகு, மிக்னேயா, ஓபேத்ஏதோம், ஏயெல், அசசியா என்பவர்கள் செமனீத் என்னும் இசையில் பாடி, சுரமண்டலங்களை நேர்த்தியாக வாசித்தார்கள்.
22 And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites for the music, gave instruction in music, for he was skilful.
௨௨லேவியர்களுக்குள்ளே கெனானியா என்பவன் சங்கீதத்தலைவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் நிபுணனானபடியால், கீதவித்தையை நடத்தினான்.
23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
௨௩பெரகியாவும் எல்க்கானாவும் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகக் காவல்காத்துவந்தார்கள்.
24 And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew with the trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehijah were doorkeepers for the ark.
௨௪செபனியா, யோசபாத், நெதனெயேல், அமாசாயி, சகரியா, பெனாயா, எலியேசர் என்னும் ஆசாரியர்கள் தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகப் பூரிகைகளை ஊதினார்கள்; ஓபேத்ஏதோமும், எகியாவும் பெட்டிக்கு வாசல் காவலாளிகளாக இருந்தார்கள்.
25 And David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
௨௫இப்படி தாவீதும், இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர்களும், ஆயிரம்பேர்களின் தலைவர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை ஓபேத்ஏதோமின் வீட்டிலிருந்து மகிழ்ச்சியோடு கொண்டுவரச்செய்தார்கள்.
26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.
௨௬யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற லேவியர்களுக்கு தேவன் தயவு செய்ததால், அவர்கள் ஏழு காளைகளையும் ஏழு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
27 And David was clothed with a robe of byssus, and all the Levites that bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah chief of the music of the singers; and David had upon him a linen ephod.
௨௭தாவீதும், பெட்டியை சுமக்கிற எல்லா லேவியர்களும், பாடகர்களும், பாடகர்களின் வேலையை விசாரிக்கிற தலைவனாகிய கெனானியாவும், மெல்லிய புடவையான சால்வைகளை அணிந்திருந்தார்கள்; தாவீது சணல்நூல் ஏபோத்தை அணிந்திருந்தான்.
28 And all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with sound of the trumpet, and with clarions, and with cymbals, playing aloud with lutes and harps.
௨௮அப்படியே இஸ்ரவேலனைத்தும் யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைக் கெம்பீரத்தோடும், எக்காளங்கள் பூரிகைகள் கைத்தாளங்களின் சத்தத்தோடும், தம்புருக்களையும் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் வாசிக்கிற சத்தத்தோடும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
29 And it came to pass as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through a window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
௨௯யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டி, தாவீதின் நகரம்வரை வந்தபோது, சவுலின் மகளாகிய மீகாள் பலகணி வழியாகப் பார்த்து, தாவீது ராஜா ஆடிப்பாடி வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, அவனைத் தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தில் அவமதித்தாள்.
