1 Adam, Seth, Enosh,
१आदम, शेत, एनोश;
2 Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared,
२केनान, महललेल, येरेद;
3 Enoch, Methushelah, Lemech,
३हनोक, मतूशेलह, लेमेक;
4 Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
४नूह, शेम, हाम और येपेत।
5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
५येपेत के पुत्र: गोमेर, मागोग, मादै, यावान, तूबल, मेशेक और तीरास।
6 — And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
६गोमेर के पुत्र: अश्कनज, दीपत और तोगर्मा
7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.
७यावान के पुत्र: एलीशा, तर्शीश, और कित्ती और रोदानी लोग।
8 The sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim, Phut and Canaan.
८हाम के पुत्र: कूश, मिस्र, पूत और कनान थे।
9 — And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
९कूश के पुत्र: सबा, हवीला, सबता, रामाह और सब्तका थे। और रामाह के पुत्र: शेबा और ददान थे।
10 And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.
१०और कूश से निम्रोद उत्पन्न हुआ; पृथ्वी पर पहला वीर वही हुआ।
11 — And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
११और मिस्र से लूदी, अनामी, लहाबी, नप्तूही,
12 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.
१२पत्रूसी, कसलूही (जिनसे पलिश्ती उत्पन्न हुए) और कप्तोरी उत्पन्न हुए।
13 — And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
१३कनान से उसका जेठा सीदोन और हित्त,
14 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
१४और यबूसी, एमोरी, गिर्गाशी,
15 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
१५हिब्बी, अर्की, सीनी,
16 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
१६अर्वदी, समारी और हमाती उत्पन्न हुए।
17 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
१७शेम के पुत्र: एलाम, अश्शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद, अराम, ऊस, हूल, गेतेर और मेशेक थे।
18 — And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
१८और अर्पक्षद से शेलह और शेलह से एबेर उत्पन्न हुआ।
19 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
१९एबेर के दो पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए: एक का नाम पेलेग इस कारण रखा गया कि उसके दिनों में पृथ्वी बाँटी गई; और उसके भाई का नाम योक्तान था।
20 And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
२०और योक्तान से अल्मोदाद, शेलेप, हसर्मावेत, येरह,
21 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
२१हदोराम, ऊजाल, दिक्ला,
22 and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
२२एबाल, अबीमाएल, शेबा,
23 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.
२३ओपीर, हवीला और योबाब उत्पन्न हुए; ये ही सब योक्तान के पुत्र थे।
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
२४शेम, अर्पक्षद, शेलह,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
२५एबेर, पेलेग, रू,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
२६सरूग, नाहोर, तेरह,
27 Abram: the same is Abraham.
२७अब्राम, वह अब्राहम भी कहलाता है।
28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
२८अब्राहम के पुत्र इसहाक और इश्माएल।
29 These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;
२९इनकी वंशावलियाँ ये हैं। इश्माएल का जेठा नबायोत, फिर केदार, अदबएल, मिबसाम,
30 Mishma and Dumah; Massa, Hadad, and Tema;
३०मिश्मा, दूमा, मस्सा, हदद, तेमा,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.
३१यतूर, नापीश, केदमा। ये इश्माएल के पुत्र हुए।
32 — And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
३२फिर कतूरा जो अब्राहम की रखैल थी, उसके ये पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए, अर्थात् उससे जिम्रान, योक्षान, मदान, मिद्यान, यिशबाक और शूह उत्पन्न हुए। योक्षान के पुत्र: शेबा और ददान।
33 And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.
३३और मिद्यान के पुत्र: एपा, एपेर, हनोक, अबीदा और एल्दा, ये सब कतूरा के वंशज हैं।
34 And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
३४अब्राहम से इसहाक उत्पन्न हुआ। इसहाक के पुत्र: एसाव और इस्राएल।
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
३५एसाव के पुत्र: एलीपज, रूएल, यूश, यालाम और कोरह थे।
36 — The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
३६एलीपज के ये पुत्र हुए: तेमान, ओमार, सपी, गाताम, कनज, तिम्ना और अमालेक।
37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
३७रूएल के पुत्र: नहत, जेरह, शम्मा और मिज्जा।
38 And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
३८फिर सेईर के पुत्र: लोतान, शोबाल, सिबोन, अना, दीशोन, एसेर और दीशान हुए।
39 — And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.
३९और लोतान के पुत्र: होरी और होमाम, और लोतान की बहन तिम्ना थीं।
40 — The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. — And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.
४०शोबाल के पुत्र: अल्यान, मानहत, एबाल, शपी और ओनाम। और सिबोन के पुत्र: अय्या, और अना।
41 — The sons of Anah: Dishon. — And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.
४१अना का पुत्र: दीशोन। और दीशोन के पुत्र: हम्रान, एशबान, यित्रान और करान।
42 — The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, [and] Jaakan. — The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
४२एसेर के पुत्र: बिल्हान, जावान और याकान। और दीशान के पुत्र: ऊस और अरान।
43 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: — Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
४३जब किसी राजा ने इस्राएलियों पर राज्य न किया था, तब एदोम के देश में ये राजा हुए अर्थात् बोर का पुत्र बेला और उसकी राजधानी का नाम दिन्हाबा था।
44 And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
४४बेला के मरने पर, बोस्राई जेरह का पुत्र योबाब, उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ।
45 And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
४५और योबाब के मरने पर, तेमानियों के देश का हूशाम उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ।
46 And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
४६फिर हूशाम के मरने पर, बदद का पुत्र हदद, उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ: यह वही है जिसने मिद्यानियों को मोआब के देश में मार दिया; और उसकी राजधानी का नाम अबीत था।
47 And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
४७और हदद के मरने पर, मस्रेकाई सम्ला उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ।
48 And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.
४८फिर सम्ला के मरने पर शाऊल, जो महानद के तट पर के रहोबोत नगर का था, वह उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ।
49 And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
४९और शाऊल के मरने पर अकबोर का पुत्र बाल्हानान उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ।
50 And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
५०और बाल्हानान के मरने पर, हदद उसके स्थान पर राजा हुआ; और उसकी राजधानी का नाम पाऊ हुआ, उसकी पत्नी का नाम महेतबेल था जो मेज़ाहाब की नातिनी और मत्रेद की बेटी थी।
51 And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
५१और हदद मर गया। फिर एदोम के अधिपति ये थे: अर्थात् अधिपति तिम्ना, अधिपति अल्वा, अधिपति यतेत,
52 chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
५२अधिपति ओहोलीबामा, अधिपति एला, अधिपति पीनोन,
53 chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
५३अधिपति कनज, अधिपति तेमान, अधिपति मिबसार,
54 chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
५४अधिपति मग्दीएल, अधिपति ईराम। एदोम के ये अधिपति हुए।
