Titus 2
1 But you are to speak the things that befit sound doctrine.

2 Old men should be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.
Starsi [mężczyźni] niech będą trzeźwi, poważni, roztropni, zdrowi w wierze, w miłości, w cierpliwości.
3 Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well,
Podobnie starsze kobiety niech zachowują się w sposób godny świętych, niech nie oczerniają, nie nadużywają wina, uczą tego, co dobre.
4 so that they may teach prudence to the young women, so that they may love their husbands, love their children,
Niech uczą młodsze [kobiety] rozsądku, [jak] mają kochać swoich mężów i dzieci;
5 be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed.
Żeby [były] roztropne, czyste, żeby zajmowały się domem, były dobre, posłuszne swoim mężom, aby nie bluźniono słowu Bożemu.
6 Exhort young men similarly, so that they may show self-restraint.
Młodzieńców także napominaj, aby byli trzeźwi.
7 In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness,
We wszystkim stawiaj samego siebie za wzór dobrych uczynków. W nauczaniu [okazuj] prawość, powagę;
8 with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us.
Słowa zdrowe, nienaganne, aby ten, kto się sprzeciwia, był zawstydzony, nie mając o was nic złego do powiedzenia.
9 Exhort servants to be submissive to their masters, in all things pleasing, not contradicting,
Sługi [nauczaj], aby byli poddani swoim panom i we wszystkim się [im] podobali, nie sprzeciwiając się;
10 not cheating, but in all things showing good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
[Niczego] sobie nie przywłaszczając, ale we wszystkim okazując doskonałą wierność, aby we wszystkim zdobili naukę Boga, naszego Zbawiciela.
11 For the grace of God our Savior has appeared to all men,
Objawiła się bowiem łaska Boga, niosąca zbawienie wszystkim ludziom;
12 instructing us to reject impiety and worldly desires, so that we may live soberly and justly and piously in this age, (aiōn g165)
Pouczająca nas, abyśmy wyrzekłszy się bezbożności i światowych pożądliwości, trzeźwo, sprawiedliwie i pobożnie żyli na tym świecie; (aiōn g165)
13 looking forward to the blessed hope and the advent of the glory of the great God and of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Oczekując błogosławionej nadziei i chwalebnego objawienia się wielkiego Boga i Zbawiciela naszego, Jezusa Chrystusa;
14 He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works.
Który wydał samego siebie za nas, aby nas wykupić od wszelkiej nieprawości i oczyścić sobie lud na własność, gorliwy w spełnianiu dobrych uczynków.
15 Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you.
To mów, [do tego] zachęcaj i strofuj z całą powagą; niech nikt tobą nie gardzi.
