< Titus 1 >

1 Paul, a servant of God and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, in accord with the faith of God’s elect and in acknowledgment of the truth which is accompanied by piety,
Paulo mitumi wang'wa Itunda hangi mutung'wa wang'wa Yesu Kilisto, kuuhueli wasagulwa ang'wi Tunda nuuhugu wa tai nuileta utaua.
2 in the hope of the eternal life that God, who does not lie, promised before the ages of time, (aiōnios g166)
Akole muuhuili wa upanga wa kale nakale sunga Itunda nisingawiligitya uteele aulagile kuupuma ikale. (aiōnios g166)
3 which, at the proper time, he has manifested by his Word, in the preaching that has been entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior;
Kumatungo yayo aulupimilye ulukani lakwe mu mbugulu aumpee une kutanatya. Aizepee kitumo ite kwilago lag'wi Itunda muguni witu.
4 to Titus, beloved son according to the common faith. Grace and peace, from God the Father and from Christ Jesus our Savior.
Kung'wa Tito ng'wana watai muuhueli witu. Ukende nuuasilya, nuupolo kuupuma kung'wi Tunda tata nuukung'wa Yesu Kilisto muguni witu.
5 For this reason, I left you behind in Crete: so that those things which are lacking, you would correct, and so that you would ordain, throughout the communities, priests, (just as I also ordained you)
Konsoko eyii ite nikakuleka ku Krete, ingi umazipilye imakani ehi naakele kukonda nukuika ianyampala, akanisa kwa kila kisale anga nainukulagiye.
6 if such a man is without offense, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of self-indulgence, nor of insubordination.
Munyampala nuuitekelo walekekutula wimelwa, mugoha wa musungu ung'wi, nukete eana ahueli neshanga itegwa kumakani nimabe hangi alekekutula agila anga adabu.
7 And a bishop, as a steward of God, must be without offense: not arrogant, not short-tempered, not a drunkard, not violent, not desiring tainted profit,
Ingi muhimu kumugozeeli, mu nyumba ang'wi Tunda, alekekutula nikimilwi. Azesinga muntu wiogo ang'wi singawigiilya. Singa wikaya kutaka walekekutula mugala ntule, aleke kutula muntu nuweta wilea, aleketula nsula.
8 but instead: hospitable, kind, sober, just, holy, chaste,
Apagwainge: watule muntu musingeeli, mulowa numuzalazima atule muntu nuketi imahala nakondanei, nukete itai muuhueli wang'wi Tunda, nuuimila ung'wenso.
9 embracing faithful speech which is in agreement with doctrine, so that he may be able to exhort in sound doctrine and to argue against those who contradict.
Nuhumile kemiila umanyisigwatai namanyisigwe, wahume kuapa nsula na munkolo kumanyisigwe, wahume kuapa nsula na munkolo kumanyisigwa nuuza, hange wakume kuanonelya ehi niakumugilya.
10 For there are, indeed, many who are disobedient, who speak empty words, and who deceive, especially those who are of the circumcision.
Kunsoko akule endu asukile nyuma, hangi awo niabadisigwe. Hangi nkani yaupungu. Niaputalya nakuatongela aintu muulimili.
11 These must be reproved, for they subvert entire houses, teaching things which should not be taught, for the favor of shameful gain.
Inonee kuagilya iantu anga nianso. Akumanyisa ayo nishanonee kunsailo aminyala, nukubipya eantu ao ehi.
12 A certain one of these, a prophet of their own kind, said: “The Cretans are ever liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
Ung'wi ao muntu nukete mahala, wikalunga, Wakrete akote uteele nuugila mpelo, abi hangi ikale niitaki, akatahangi alaku.
13 This testimony is true. Because of this, rebuke them sharply, so that they may be sound in the faith,
Ingi inkazi yatai, ite gwa uagilye kungulu, ahume kutambula itai muhuueli.
14 not paying attention to Jewish fables, nor to the rules of men who have turned themselves away from the truth.
Uewe ulekekihangwila mumahumo nisingaatai, akiyahudi ang'wi malago aantu, niisusha ikenyuma itai.
15 All things are clean to those who are clean. But to those who are defiled, and to unbelievers, nothing is clean; for both their mind and their conscience have been polluted.
Kuawa ehi niaza, maintu ehi ni maza. Kuawa ehi niabe nawaga niagila uuhueli kutile nikiza. Kunsoko imasego ao nusinganilye wao wabipile.
16 They claim that they know God. But, by their own works, they deny him, since they are abominable, and unbelieving, and reprobate, toward every good work.
Akulunga amumanyile Itunda, lakini kuntendo yao amuhitile. Nianso anyamilandu nishanga agombile. Nishangaahoiwe kuluka ni lehi nuluza.
