< Psalms 98 >
1 A Psalm of David himself. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has performed wonders. His right hand has accomplished salvation for him, with his holy arm.
He himene. Waiatatia ki a Ihowa he waiata hou; he mahi whakamiharo hoki ana: na tona ringa matau, na tona ringa tapu, i taea ai e ia te whakaora.
2 The Lord has made known his salvation. He has revealed his justice in the sight of the nations.
Kua whakakitea e Ihowa tana whakaoranga, kua whakapuakina e ia tona tika ki te aroaro o nga tauiwi.
3 He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Kua mahara ia ki tana mahi tohu, ki tona pono ki te whare o Iharaira; a kua kite nga pito katoa o te whenua i te whakaoranga a to tatou Atua.
4 Sing joyfully to God, all the earth. Sing and exult, and sing psalms.
Kia hari te hamama, e te whenua katoa, ki a Ihowa: hamama, kia hari, ae ra, himene atu.
5 Sing psalms to the Lord with stringed instruments, with strings and the voice of a psalmist,
Himene ki a Ihowa i runga i te hapa; i runga i te hapa, me te himene ano te reo.
6 with subtle wind instruments and the voice of woodwinds. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king.
I runga i te tetere, i te tangi ano o te koronete: kia hari te hamama ki te aroaro o Ihowa, o te Kingi.
7 Let the sea be moved and all its fullness, the whole world and all who dwell in it.
Kia haruru te moana me nga mea e hua ana i roto, te ao me ona tangata e noho ana i runga.
8 The rivers will clap their hands, the mountains will exult together,
Kia papaki nga ringa o nga roma, kia hari tahi nga pukepuke.
9 before the presence of the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with justice, and the peoples with fairness.
Ki te aroaro o Ihowa: e haere mai ana hoki ia ki te whakawa mo te whenua: ka whakawa ia mo te ao i runga i te tika, mo nga iwi hoki i runga i te pono.
