< Psalms 89 >

1 The understanding of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing the mercies of the Lord in eternity. I will announce your truth with my mouth, from generation to generation.
Ezrahitɔ Etan ƒe nufiameha. Madzi ha le Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃ gã la ŋu ɖaa, matsɔ nye nu aɖe gbeƒã wò nuteƒewɔwɔ tso dzidzime yi dzidzime.
2 For you have said: Mercy will be built in the heavens, unto eternity. Your truth will be prepared there.
Maɖe gbeƒã be wò lɔlɔ̃ li ke tegbee, eye nèɖo wò nuteƒewɔwɔ anyi ɖe dziƒo ŋutɔŋutɔ.
3 I have set up a covenant with my elect. I have sworn to David my servant:
Ègblɔ be, “Mebla nu kple nye ame tiatia, meka atam na David, nye dɔla be,
4 I will prepare your offspring, even in eternity. And I will build up your throne, from generation to generation.
‘Maɖo wò ƒome anyi tegbee, eye mana wò fiazikpui nali ke na dzidzimewo katã.’” (Sela)
5 The heavens will confess your miracles, Lord, and also your truth, in the Church of the saints.
O! Yehowa, dziƒowo le wò nukunuwo kafum, kple wò nuteƒewɔwɔ hã le ame kɔkɔewo ƒe hame.
6 For who among the clouds is equal to the Lord? Who among the sons of God is like God?
Elabena ame kae le dziŋgɔli me si woatsɔ asɔ kple Yehowa? Le nu gbagbe siwo le dziƒo dome la, kae le abe Yehowa ene?
7 God is glorified by the counsel of the saints. He is great and terrible above all those who are around him.
Le ame kɔkɔewo ƒe adaŋudeha me la ŋɔdzi le Mawu ŋu ŋutɔ, ŋɔdzi le eŋu wu ame siwo katã ƒo xlãe.
8 O Lord, God of hosts, who is like you? You are powerful, Lord, and your truth is all around you.
O! Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Mawu, ame kae ɖi wò? O! Yehowa, wò la, ŋusẽtɔe nènye, eye wò nuteƒewɔwɔ ƒo xlã wò.
9 You rule over the power of the sea, and you even mitigate the movement of its waves.
Wòe ɖu atsiaƒu ƒe agbodzedze dzi, ne ƒutsotsoewo le dzi dem la, ènana wodzea akɔ anyi.
10 You have humbled the arrogant one, like one who has been wounded. You have scattered your enemies with the arm of your strength.
Ègbã Rahab gudugudu abe ame siwo wowu la dometɔ ɖeka ene, eye nètsɔ wò abɔ sesẽ kaka wò futɔwo.
11 Yours are the heavens, and yours is the earth. You founded the whole world in all its fullness.
Dziƒowo nye tɔwò, anyigba hã tɔwòe; wòe wɔ xexea me kple emenuwo katã.
12 You created the north and the sea. Tabor and Hermon will exult in your name.
Wòe wɔ anyiehe kple dziehe; ne Tabɔr kple Hermon se wò ŋkɔ ko la, wodzia ha, tsoa aseye.
13 Your arm acts with power. Let your hand be strengthened, and let your right hand be exalted.
Wotsɔ ŋusẽ de wò abɔ me, eye wò asi sesẽ, wò nuɖusi de dzi.
14 Justice and judgment are the preparation of your throne. Mercy and truth will precede your face.
Woli wò fiazikpui anyi ɖe dzɔdzɔenyenye kple ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ dzi, eye lɔlɔ̃ kple nuteƒewɔwɔ le zɔzɔm le ŋgɔwò.
15 Blessed is the people that knows jubilation. They will walk in the light of your countenance, O Lord,
Woayra ame siwo srɔ̃ ale si woakafu wòe, eye wozɔna le wò mo ƒe kekeli me, O Yehowa.
16 and they will exult in your name all day long, and they will be exalted in your justice.
Wotsoa aseye le wò ŋkɔ me ŋkeke blibo la, eye wokpɔa dodoɖedzi le wò dzɔdzɔenyenye me.
17 For you are the glory of their virtue, and in your goodness, our horn will be exalted.
Elabena wòe nye woƒe ŋutikɔkɔe kple ŋusẽ, eye to wò amenuveve me, nèkɔ míaƒe dzo ɖe dzi.
18 For our assumption is of the Lord, and it is of our king, the holy one of Israel.
Vavã, míaƒe akpoxɔnu nye Yehowa tɔ, miaƒe fia nye Israel ƒe Kɔkɔetɔ la.
19 Then you spoke in a vision to your holy ones, and you said: I have stationed help with the powerful one, and I have exalted the elect one from my people.
Ɣe aɖe ɣi la, èƒo nu na wò ame kɔkɔewo le ŋutega me be, “Metrɔ ŋusẽ kɔ ɖe kalẽtɔ aɖe dzi; medo ɖekakpui aɖe ɖe dzi le nye amewo dome.
20 I have found my servant David. I have anointed him with my holy oil.
Meke ɖe David, nye dɔla ŋu, eye mesi ami nɛ kple nye ami kɔkɔe.
21 For my hand will assist him, and my arm will fortify him.
Nye asi alée ɖe asi, le nyateƒe me, nye alɔ ado ŋusẽe.
22 The enemy will have no advantage over him, nor will the son of iniquity be positioned to harm him.
Futɔ aɖeke mazi edzi wòadzɔ ga nɛ o, eye ame vɔ̃ɖi aɖeke matee ɖe to o.
23 And I will cut down his enemies before his face. And those who hate him, I will turn to flight.
Mafanya eƒe futɔwo le eŋgɔ, eye maƒo ame siwo tso ɖe eŋu la aƒu anyi.
24 And my truth and my mercy will be with him. And his horn will be exalted in my name.
Nye lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la anɔ anyi kplii, eye woakɔ eƒe dzo ɖe dzi to nye ŋkɔ dzi.
25 And I will place his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.
Makɔ eƒe asi dzi ɖe atsiaƒu dzi, eye eƒe nuɖusi ɖe tɔsisiwo dzi.
26 He will invoke me: “You are my father, my God, and the support of my salvation.”
Ayɔm be, ‘Wòe nye Fofonye, nye Mawu, nye Agakpe kple Ɖela.’
27 And I will make him the first-born, preeminent before the kings of the earth.
Matsɔe awɔ nye ŋgɔgbevi kple fia si wodo ɖe dzi wu le anyigbadzifiawo katã dome.
28 I will preserve my mercy for him eternally, and my covenant for him faithfully.
Malé nye lɔlɔ̃ nɛ me ɖe asi ɖaa, eye nye nubabla kplii mada le edzi akpɔ gbeɖe o.
29 And I will set his offspring from generation to generation, and his throne like the days of heaven.
Maɖo eƒe ƒome anyi tegbee, eye zi ale si dziƒo li la, nenema ke eƒe fiazikpui hã anɔ anyii.
30 But if his sons abandon my law, and if they do not walk in my judgments,
“Ne viawo gblẽ nye sewo ɖi, eye womewɔ nye ɖoɖowo dzi o,
31 if they profane my justices, and if they do not keep my commandments:
ne woda le nye sedede dzi, eye wogbe nye gbeɖeɖewo dzi wɔwɔ la,
32 I will visit their iniquities with a rod, and their sins with a beating.
ekema matsɔ ati ahe to na woe ɖe woƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta, eye matsɔ ƒoƒo ahe to na wo ɖe woƒe vodadawo ta,
33 But I will not scatter my mercy from him, and I will not do harm to my truth.
gake nyemaxɔ nye lɔlɔ̃ le esi, alo ada le nye nuteƒewɔwɔ dzi o.
34 And I will not profane my covenant, and I will not make void that which proceeds from my lips.
Nyemagbe nye nubabla la dzi wɔwɔ o, eye nyematrɔ nu si nye nu gblɔ la o.
35 I have sworn by my holiness one time: I will not lie to David,
Meta nye kɔkɔenyenye zi ɖeka hena ɣeyiɣiwo katã be, nyemada alakpa na David o.
36 his offspring will remain for eternity. And his throne will be like the sun in my sight,
Ke boŋ eƒe ƒome anɔ anyi tegbee, eye eƒe fiazikpui ali ke le nye ŋkume abe ɣe ene.
37 and, like the moon, it is perfected in eternity, and it is a faithful witness in heaven.
Woaɖoe anyi ɖaa abe ɣleti, ɖasefo nuteƒewɔla si le dziŋgɔli ŋu ene.” (Sela)
38 Yet, truly, you have rejected and despised, you have pushed away, my Christ.
Gake ègbe, èdo vlo, eye nèdo dɔmedzoe ɖe wò amesiamina ŋu vevie.
39 You have overthrown the covenant of your servant. You have profaned his sanctuary on earth.
Ète fli ɖe nu si nèbla kple wò dɔla me, eye nèdo gu eƒe fiakuku, tsɔe ƒu gbe ɖe ke me.
40 You have destroyed all his fences. You have made his territory dreadful.
Ègbã eƒe gliwo, eye nèwɔ eƒe mɔ sesẽwo wozu aƒedo.
41 All who pass by the way have plundered him. He has become a disgrace to his neighbors.
Ame siwo katã to afi ma la hae, eye wòzu alɔmeɖenu na eƒe aƒelikawo.
42 You have exalted the right hand of those who oppress him. You have brought joy to all his enemies.
Èdo eƒe futɔwo ƒe nuɖusi ɖe dzi, eye nèna eƒe ketɔwo katã tso aseye.
43 You have diverted the help of his sword, and you have not assisted him in battle.
Èna eƒe yi nu tsi, eye mèkpe ɖe eŋu le aʋawɔwɔ me o.
44 You have torn him away from cleansing, and you have smashed his throne down to the ground.
Èna eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe wu enu, eye nètsɔ eƒe fiazikpui ƒu gbe ɖe anyigba.
45 You have reduced the days of his time. You have flooded him with confusion.
Èɖe eƒe ɖekakpuimeŋkekewo dzi kpɔtɔ, eye nètsɔ ŋukpe tsyɔ nɛ abe avɔ ene. (Sela)
46 How long, O Lord? Will you turn away unto the end? Will your wrath flare up like a fire?
O! Yehowa va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣie? Ɖe nàɣla ɖokuiwò tegbea? Ɣe ka ɣi wò dziku abi abe dzo ene ase ɖo?
47 Remember what my substance is. For could you really have appointed all the sons of men in vain?
Ɖo ŋku ale si nye agbe le du dzii la dzi. Tofloko kae nye si, nèwɔ amegbetɔviwo na!
48 Who is the man that will live, and yet not see death? Who will rescue his own soul from the hand of the underworld? (Sheol h7585)
Amegbetɔ kae anɔ agbe, eye maku o, alo aɖe eɖokui tso tsiẽƒe ƒe ŋusẽ me? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
49 O Lord, where are your mercies of antiquity, just as you swore to David in your truth?
O! Aƒetɔ, afi ka wò lɔlɔ̃ gã tsãtɔ le, wò lɔlɔ̃ si nye atam nèka na David le wò nuteƒewɔwɔ me la le?
50 Be mindful, O Lord, of the disgrace of your servants (which I have sustained in my sinews) among many nations.
Aƒetɔ, ɖo ŋku ale si woɖu fewu le wò dɔla ŋuti kple ale si nye dzi tsɔ dukɔwo ƒe vlodoame la dzi.
51 With these, your enemies have reproached you, O Lord; with these, they have reproached the commutation of your Christ.
O! Yehowa, ɖo ŋku vlodoame si wò futɔwo tsɔ le alɔme ɖem le wò amesiamina ƒe afɔɖeɖe ɖe sia ɖe ŋuti la dzi.
52 Blessed is the Lord for all eternity. Amen. Amen.
