< Psalms 87 >
1 A Canticle Psalm to the sons of Korah. Its foundations are in the holy mountains:
Korah caanawk ih Saam laa. Anih angdoethaih ahmuen loe angmah ih kaciim mae ah oh.
2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.
Angraeng loe Jakob ohhaih ahmuennawk boih pongah doeh, Zion ih khongkhanawk to palung kue.
3 Glorious things are being said of you, O City of God.
Aw Sithaw vangpui, nihcae mah na lensawkhaih hmuennawk to thuih o. (Selah)
4 I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold, the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians: these have been there.
Kai panoek kaminawk khaeah Rahab hoi Babylon to ka thuih han; Philistia, Tura hoi Ethiopia kaminawk to khenah; hae kami loe to vangpui ah ni tapen.
5 Will not Zion say that this man and that man were born in her? And the Most High himself has founded her.
Hae ih kaminawk hoi ho ih kaminawk loe to vangpui ah ni tapen; Kasang koek, angmah roe mah, to vangpui to caksak tih, tiah Zion kawng to thui o tih boeh.
6 The Lord will explain, in the writings of peoples and of leaders, about those who have been in her.
Angraeng mah kaminawk ih ahmin to tarik naah, hae kami loe to ahmuen ah ni tapen, tiah pakuem tih. (Selah)
7 For so the dwelling place within you is with all rejoicing.
