< Psalms 7 >

1 A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Cush, the son of Jemini. O Lord, my God, in you I have hoped. Save me from all those who persecute me, and free me:
Wend shigaion mane Daudi owero ne Jehova Nyasaye kuom Kush ja-Benjamin. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasacha, in e kar pondona; Resa kendo igola e lwet joma lawa duto,
2 lest at any time, like a lion, he might seize my soul, while there is no one to redeem me, nor any who can save.
nono to gibiro kidha kaka sibuor kidho gik moko. Kendo gibiro yiecha matindo tindo maonge ngʼama diresa e lwetgi.
3 O Lord, my God, if there is iniquity in my hands, if I have done this:
Yaye Jehova Nyasaye Nyasacha, kapo ni asetimo gima kamano adieri kendo lweta osetimo gima rach,
4 if I have repaid those who rendered evils to me, may I deservedly fall away empty before my enemies:
kaponi asetimo marach ni ngʼama onge koda gi wach kata kapo ni asemayo wasika kaonge gima omiyo,
5 let the enemy pursue my soul, and take hold of it, and trample my life into the earth, and drag down my glory into the dust. (Pause)
to yie ni wasikano mondo olawa mi juka; we ginyon ngimana piny e lowo, mi gimi anind e buru mar lowo. (Sela)
6 Rise up, Lord, in your anger. And be exalted to the borders of my enemies. And rise up, O Lord my God, according to the precept that you commanded,
Aa malo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ka in gi mirima aa malo irad gi gero mar wasika. Chiew, Nyasacha; chiew inyis adierana.
7 and a congregation of people will surround you. And, because of this, return on high.
We chokruoge mag ogendini olwori koni gi koni. Ngʼad negi bura gie kom loch mari man malo;
8 The Lord judges the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice and according to my innocence within me.
Jehova Nyasaye mondo ongʼad bura ne ogendini. Ngʼadna bura, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kaluwore gi ngimana makare, ngʼadna bura, yaye Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo, kaluwore gi ngimana moriere tir.
9 The wickedness of sinners will be consumed, and you will direct the just: the examiner of hearts and temperaments is God.
Yaye Nyasaye makare, In ema inono pach ji gi chunje ji, tiek timbe mamono mag joma richo mondo imi joma kare odag gi kwe.
10 Just is my help from the Lord, who saves the upright of heart.
Okumbana en Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo, ma reso joma chunygi oriere tir.
11 God is a just judge, strong and patient. How could he be angry throughout every day?
Nyasaye en jangʼad bura makare; en e Nyasaye matoyo mirimbe pile ka pile.
12 Unless you will be converted, he will brandish his sword. He has extended his bow and made it ready.
Ka ok oloko pache to obiro piago liganglane; obiro dolo okumbane mi otwe tondene.
13 And with it, he has prepared instruments of death. He has produced his arrows for those on fire.
Oseiko gige mag lweny mager; oiko asernige makakni ka mach.
14 Behold him who has given birth to injustice: he has conceived sorrow and has begotten iniquity.
Ngʼama iye okuot gi gik maricho kendo ma yach gi chandruok nywolo yamo nono.
15 He has opened a pit and enlarged it. And he has fallen into the hole that he made.
Ngʼama loso bur kendo kunye maber podho e bure mokunyono.
16 His sorrow will be turned upon his own head, and his iniquity will descend upon his highest point.
Chandruok mokelo gaje en owuon; timbene mag mahundu dwogone e wiye owuon.
17 I will confess to the Lord according to his justice, and I will sing a psalm to the name of the Lord Most High.
Abiro goyo erokamano ne Jehova Nyasaye nikech en ngʼama kare kendo abiro wero wend pak ne nying Jehova Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo.
