< Psalms 63 >

1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the desert of Idumea. O God, my God: to you, I keep vigil until first light. For you, my soul has thirsted, to you my body, in so many ways.
Se yon sòm David te ekri lè li te nan dezè peyi Jida a. Bondye, se ou ki Bondye mwen. Jan m' anvi wè ou! Jan m' ap tann ou sa a! Se tout kò m' k'ap mande pou ou, tankou tè sèk nan solèy k'ap tann lapli.
2 By a deserted land, both inaccessible and waterless, so I have appeared in the sanctuary before you, in order to behold your virtue and your glory.
Fè m' antre kote ki apa pou ou nan kay ou a pou m' wè ou, pou m' wè jan ou gen pouvwa, jan ou merite pou yo fè lwanj ou.
3 For your mercy is better than life itself. It is you my lips will praise.
renmen ou gen pou nou an pi bon pase lavi. Se poutèt sa m'ap fè lwanj ou.
4 So will I bless you in my life, and I will lift up my hands in your name.
Konsa m'a pase tout lavi m' ap di ou mèsi; se ou menm sèlman m'a lapriyè.
5 Let my soul be filled, as if with marrow and fatness; and my mouth will give praise with exultant lips.
M'ap fè fèt, m'ap kontan tankou yon moun ki manje plen vant li yon manje ki gen bon gou, ki gen kont grès li ladan l'. Wi, se konsa kè m' ap kontan. M'ap louvri bouch mwen pou m' fè lwanj ou.
6 When I have remembered you on my bed in the morning, I will meditate on you.
Lè m' kouche sou kabann mwen, lide m' ap travay sou ou. Tout lannwit se ou m'ap kalkile.
7 For you have been my helper. And I will exult under the cover of your wings.
Paske se ou ki tout sekou m', m'ap rete kache anba zèl ou, m'ap chante sitèlman mwen kontan.
8 My soul has clung close to you. Your right hand has supported me.
Mwen kole kò m' sou ou, se pouvwa ou k'ap soutni mwen.
9 Truly, these ones have sought my soul in vain. They will enter into the lower parts of the earth.
Men, moun k'ap chache touye m' yo, yo gen pou yo desann kote mò yo ye a.
10 They will be delivered into the hand of the sword. They will be the portions of foxes.
Yo gen pou yo mouri nan lagè, chen mawon gen pou manje kadav yo.
11 Truly, the king will rejoice in God: all those who swear by him will be praised, because the mouth of those who speak iniquity has been blocked.
Men, Bondye ap fè kè wa a kontan. Tout moun ki mete non l' devan va gen kè kontan tou. Men, y'ap fèmen bouch moun k'ap bay manti yo.
