< Psalms 52 >
1 Unto the end. The understanding of David. When Doeg the Edomite came and reported to Saul, David went to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you glory in malice, you who are powerful in iniquity?
Dawid “maskil” dwom. Ɔtoo bere a Edomni Doeg bɛka kyerɛɛ Saulo se, “Dawid akɔ Ahimelek fi” no. Ɔkɛse, adɛn nti na wohoahoa wo ho wɔ wo bɔne ho? Adɛn nti na wohoahoa wo ho da mu nyinaa, wo a woyɛ animguasede wɔ Onyankopɔn ani so?
2 All day long your tongue thinks up injustice. Like a sharp razor, you have wrought deceit.
Wo tɛkrɛma bɔ ɔsɛe ho pɔw; ɛte sɛ oyiwan a ano yɛ nam yiye. Wo a wutwa nkontompo nko ara.
3 You have loved malice above goodness, and iniquity more than speaking righteousness.
Wʼani gye bɔne ho sen papa, wopɛ atoro sen sɛ wobɛka nokware.
4 You have loved all precipitous words, you deceitful tongue.
Wodɔ asɛm biara a ɛde ɔhaw ba, wo tɛkrɛma daadaafo!
5 Because of this, God will destroy you in the end. He will pull you up, and he will remove you from your tabernacle and your root from the land of the living.
Ampa ara Onyankopɔn de ɔsɛe a enni awiei bɛbrɛ wo; ɔbɛtwe wo afi wo ntamadan mu na watetew wo mu; Ɔbɛtɔre wʼase wɔ ateasefo asase so.
6 The just will see and be afraid, and they will laugh over him, and say:
Atreneefo behu eyi na wɔasuro; wɔbɛserew no na wɔaka se,
7 “Behold the man who did not set God as his helper. But he hoped in the multitude of his riches, and so he prevailed in his emptiness.”
“Hwɛ, onipa no ni, nea wamfa Onyankopɔn anyɛ nʼabandennen na mmom ɔde ne ho too nʼahonya dodow so, na onyaa ahoɔden de sɛee afoforo no!”
8 But I, like a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, have hoped in the mercy of God unto eternity, and forever and ever.
Nanso mete sɛ ngodua a ɛrenyin wɔ Onyankopɔn fi: mede me ho to Onyankopɔn dɔ a ɛnsa da no so daa nyinaa.
9 I will confess to you forever, because you have accomplished it. And I will wait on your name, for it is good in the sight of your saints.
Meyi wo ayɛ daa wɔ nea woayɛ nti; wo din so na mʼani bɛda, efisɛ eye. Meyi wo ayɛ wɔ wʼahotefo anim. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔde “mahalat” sanku nne na ɛto.
